Abstract

The article attempts to measure ideological preference and religious attitude of the students of Alauddin State Islamic University (UIN) Makassar. The typology of religious understanding is categorized into radical, moderate, and liberal. These three typologies help us to observe preference indicators based on students’ responses to four categorical variables, namely Islam and religious pluralism, formalization of Islam (relation of religion and state), Islam and intellectual discourse, and perception of jihad and religious violence. Employing quantitative approach, the author tries to measure the level of religious preferences of UIN Alauddin’s students within positivistic paradigm by organizing the data into a pattern, category, and basic unit description. The study finds that the level of preference of four variables and 16 questions asked to the students of UIN Alauddin shows us index result 2.76 or moderate category. However, it is also found that there has been potential preference, within the same time, into radical attitude. The reason is that in some variables I find shocking index numbers, which are close to radical verge as it can be seen in the variables of Islam and pluralism and the formalization of Islam which reach the index 2.49 and 2.40 respectively. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to explain the concept of gender theology in the sibaliparri tradition by looking at the role of coastal women in Polewali Mandar Regency. This paper focuses on three main issues, namely the history of the sibaliparri tradition, the role of coastal women in the sibaliparri tradition and the masterminds that influence the role of coastal women in the Sibaliparri tradition in Polewali Mandar Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by interpreting data and facts discovered on the local community. Data collection techniques are field studies, interviews, manuscript studies by examining books, journals, and other forms of literature. This study shows that the history behind the word sibaliparri according to Mandar O'Dianda O'Dibisa's lontara has occured since the reign of Maradiaq Balanipa I Manyambungi and during the reign of Maradiaq IV Kakanna I Pattang Daetta Tommuane sibaliparri has spread throughout the Ammaradia Balanipa region. Later, the coastal women in the current concept of sibaliparri are not only in the domestic area, taking care of the family and reproduction, conceiving and giving birth to children, but also playing a role in the public sphere. The factors that influence coastal women according to the sibaliparri concept include economic, social, cultural and gender issues. In Islamic theology the role of women in various activities is in accordance with Islamic teachings. The existence of Mara'dia continues to play its role in the social life of the community providing the government partners in embodying peace in a synergistic relationship to create a peaceful society. Keywords: Gender Theology, Sibaliparri Tradition, The Role of Women, Polewali MandarABSTRAK Artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan tentang konsep teologi gender dalam tradisi sibaliparri dengan melihat peran perempuan pesisir di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Tulisan ini menjawab tiga masalah pokok yaitu sejarah tradisi sibaliparri, peran perempuan pesisir dalam tradisi sibaliparri dan aktor yang memengaruhi peran perempuan pesisir dalam tradisi Sibaliparri di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menafsirkan data dan fakta berdasarkan masyaraka setempatt. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu studi lapangan, wawancara, studi naskah dengan menelaah buku-buku, jurnal, dan bentuk literatur lainnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa sejarah penamaan kata sibaliparri berdasarkan lontara Mandar O’Dianda O’Dibiasa sudah muncul sejak masa pemerintahan Maradiaq Balanipa I Manyambungi dan masa pemerintahan Maradiaq IV Kakanna I Pattang Daetta Tommuane sibaliparri sudah meluas di seluruh wilayah Ammaradia Balanipa. Kemudian Perempuan pesisir dalam konsep sibaliparri saat ini tidak hanya wilayah domestik, mengurus keluarga dan reproduksi mengandung dan melahirkan anak tetapi juga berperan di wilayah publik. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perempuan pesisir menurut konsep sibaliparri di antaranya faktor ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan isu gender. Dalam teologi Islam bahwa peran perempuan dalam berbagai aktivitas adalah sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Keberadaan Mara’dia menjadi tetap eksis memainkan perannya dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat sehingga pemerintah memiliki mitra mewujudkan ketentraman dalam hubungan sinergisitas untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang damai.Kata kunci: teologi gender; tradisi Sibaliparri; peran perempuan; Polewali Mandar

Abstract

Every religion has a concept of salvation based on transcendent values of the religion. Islam as a religion of revelation has the concept of salvation based on the messages contained Allah in the Qur’an and Hadith of the Prophet are valid. With reference to the ethical principles of Islam, the doctrine of salvation is the main point ranging in religion, with this principle, people feel the need to claim to believe and submit to the values of the revealed God. A person of faith is essentially aims to achieve safety, both in his life on earth and in the Hereafter. In the Catholic Christian religion also found a number of principles are the same theology that is taught about the importance of safety. In the book of the old covenant and new covenant be emphasized that the safety ranging point in the theology. In Islam and Catholicism, the concept of divinity is the same both believe in Almighty God (monotheism). Both believe that Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad. As the bearer of divine revelation. Although Islam to explain the concept of the deity in various contexts and meanings, while the Catholic meaning of salvation is placed in a variety of different verses, but the meaning remains the same.

Abstract

Haji sebagai budaya dan budaya dalam berhaji perspektif sosio-filosofis, menjadi tradisi yang serius diteliti dalam kehidupan keberagamaan dewasa ini, sebab dalam upacara ritual berhaji terkadang sebagian jamaah melupakan makana substansi atau ontologism dalam berhaji itu sendiri. Seharusnya para pelaksana haji sedapat mungkin memahaminya secara dhahiriyah dan bathiniyah atau teks dan konteks dalam pelaksanaan haji. Dalam peneluusuran tulisan ini menemukan Pertama, Haji budaya adalah pelaksanaan haji yang dilakukan oleh setiap umat Islam yang berkemampuan totalitas, secara hakiki ritualistik, spiritualistik dan nilai-nilai sosialistik yang dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang berhaji adalah sebuah budaya. Kedua, Para pelaksana haji baik yang berkemampuan lebih atau yang memaksa diri dalam rangka meraih tingkatan mabrur sebatas pada ritualisme belaka dan tidak memberikan nilai implikasi dari ke-hajiannya, merupakan budaya haji yang hura-hura mengejar prestise bukan prestasi dan kualitas. Hal inilah yang merusak kehidupan kemanusiaan secara individu dan kelompok seperti melakukan penyimpangan sepulang dari melaksanakan haji antara lain korupsi, kolusi dan nepotisme yang tidak wajar untuk dilakukan oleh para haji-haji..
