Abstract

United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 (2000) emphasizes the importance of women’s participation and involvement in global peacekeeping missions. As part of its implementation, the Government of Indonesia, through the Indonesian Navy, issued an inclusive human resource (HR) policy by deploying members of the Indonesian Navy Women’s Corps (Kowal) in the Maritime Task Force (MTF) of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) beginning in 2021. Previously, from 2009 to 2020, all MTF UNIFIL personnel were male, creating a masculine work environment aboard Indonesian warships (KRI). This study aims to analyze the impact of the inclusive HR policy on the work environment dynamics in KRI, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine male soldiers’ perceptions of the presence of Kowal. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method using interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the presence of Kowal has brought positive changes to the work environment while maintaining the existing systems and organizational culture. Male personnel generally responded positively to their presence; however, the implementation requires strict gender-based regulations. The study recommends strengthening HR curricula with a focus on gender equality, adjusting the quota of Kowal according to KRI facilities, and formulating written gender-based regulations within the MTF UNIFIL.

Abstract

The Student Passport system in private schools of East Java represents an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based educational service innovation positioned as the primary strategic instrument in school digital transformation. This service operates through integrated involvement of management, teachers, students, and parents to respond to modern educational needs dynamics. This research aims to analyze AI's effectiveness as a decision-support system in discipline management, academic efficiency improvement, health monitoring, and mapping sustainability determinants. The study employs descriptive qualitative methods with triangulation data collection techniques based on effectiveness theories by Sutrisno, Siagian, and Hasibuan. Research findings reveal AI functions effectively as the primary driver of school operations. In disciplinary aspects, the system provides objective data supporting real-time decision-making. In academic domains, AI serves as an intelligent assistant facilitating automated lesson planning preparation and mass exam correction, while also functioning as an information access gateway for students. System effectiveness extends to health services through predictive analysis features delivering medical information and preventive action recommendations for student welfare. Managerially, efficiency is demonstrated through paperless budget savings and accelerated information distribution. Success supporting factors include management commitment (top-down policy) and server infrastructure stability, while inhibiting factors comprise network capacity limitations (peak load bottlenecks) and low digital literacy among certain parents. The research concludes that schools have successfully established robust digital ecosystems but require network infrastructure strengthening and external user education to ensure Smart School sustainability.

Abstract

This community service aims to assist the village government of Ambeng-ambeng Watangrejo in Duduksampeyan Sub-District, Gresik Regency in registering and monitoring immigrants and conducting independent home isolation as a result of implementing the Widespread Social Restrictions Policy (PSBB) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The village government and the 19th level COVID task force are facing hurdles in collecting data and monitoring the isolated population. So there is a need for an online village information system that can record and monitor the population. The community is served through socialization methods and by assisting village officials and the Covid-19 task force in implementing the village information system. A community service outcome is a village information system that the village government can use to provide services to the community.
