Abstract

Introduction: The 1st stage of active phase of labor lasts 7 hours. However, the length of the first stage of labor for each mother varies greatly, this is related to whether the contractions are good or not. Contractions that produce opening generally show increasingly frequent frequency and longer duration. The contractions that occur cause discomfort to the mother, namely pain. The Gym Ball is an alternative aid to speed up the progress of labor by widening the pelvic area. Purpose: research The purpose of this case study is to provide midwifery care for mother C at TPMB Dewi Sandra, West Aceh Regency with labor pain in the first stage. Research Method: The design of this care is in the form of a case study with a qualitative approach, the subject of this case study is mother C, 25 years old G1P0A0, 40 weeks gravida at TPMB Dewi Sandra in West Aceh Regency, this research was conducted on March 09 2025. Results Research: The results of midwifery care during the 1st stage show that the use of a gym ball can reduce the scale of pain felt by the mother, and can also reduce the duration of the 1st stage of the active phase in mothers who are about to give birth. Conclusion: gym ball can reduce pain and shorten the duration of the first stage of labor in C G1P0A0 mothers.

Abstract

Introduction: Labor pain is a phenomenon found in women who are in labor, but with a midwife's belief in midwifery philosophy, a midwife can provide high quality services for each phase, especially during the labor phase. There are many methods used to reduce pain during childbirth, one of which is back massage. Objective: This study aims to provide comprehensive midwifery care, especially to mother A with a history of normal delivery who experienced pain in the abdominal area that spread to the waist and back. Researchers used back massage techniques to reduce labor pain. Research method: this research is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was carried out by exploring and providing comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. A G1P0A0 starting from the third trimester of pregnancy until postpartum. Meanwhile, for labor pain in mothers, the method of measuring pain before and after massage is used. Research results: Comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. A has been carried out from pregnancy to postpartum. In this birthing care, the researcher found the case of mother A G1P0A0 with pain during labor, so the researcher performed a back massage technique on mother A to reduce mother A's pain during labor. The results of the back massage technique are proven that this back massage technique really helps birthing mothers who experience pain during the birth process.Conclusion: The midwifery care provided to Mother A with pain during labor can be concluded that the application of back massage techniques to Mother A has been proven to reduce pain during labor. Mother A's delivery went smoothly and was not accompanied by any obstacles

Abstract

ABSTRACT Psychosocial changes during pregnancy cause anxiety which triggers an increase in the hormone’s progesterone, estrogen and HCG (Human Choionac Gonadotropin). Anxiety occurs due to the inability of pregnant women to adapt to changes in the pregnancy process, thereby stimulating increased anxiety and nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Anxiety is influenced by factors including education, knowledge, work, and family support. Research questions: whether there is a link between psychosocial facts and lifestyle with the weight of the mother during pregnancy in Puskesmas Mereubo district of West Aceh. To determine the relationship between psychosocial and lifestyle factors and maternal weight during pregnancy at the Mereubo Community Health Center, West Aceh Regency. This research uses a quantitative type of research with a cross sectional approach. The subjects in this research were mothers who had given birth with a maximum age of 6 months, who were in the working area of the Mereubo Community Health Center, West Aceh Regency. This research will be carried out for 6 months starting in April - September 2023. The research location will be carried out in the working area of the Mereubo Community Health Center, West Aceh Regency. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire, each variable containing 10 - 15 statement items. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with a p value <0.05. There is a significant relationship between stress levels, social support, marital satisfaction, and lifestyle and maternal weight gain during pregnancy in the Mereubo Community Health Center working area, West Aceh Regency (p<0.05). There is no significant relationship between anxiety levels and maternal weight gain during pregnancy in the Mereubo Community Health Center working area, West Aceh Regency (p>0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between stress levels, social support, marital satisfaction, and lifestyle and maternal weight gain during pregnancy. There is no relationship between anxiety levels and maternal weight gain during pregnancy.  Keywords: Psychosocial Factors, Lifestyle, Pregnant Women, Weight Gain  ABSTRAK Perubahan psikososial masa hamil menimbulkan kecemasan yang memicu peningkatan hormone progresteron, estrogen dan HCG (Human Choionac Gonadotropin). Kecemasan terjadi akibat ketidakmampuan Ibu hamil dalam beradaptasi terhadap perubahan proses hamil sehingga merangsang peningkatan cemas dan mual muntah kehamilan. Cemas dipengaruhi oleh faktor diantararanya pendidikan, pengetahuan, pekerjaan dan dukungan keluarga. Apakah ada hubungan faktok psikososial dan gaya hidup dengan berat badan ibu selama hamil di Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan faktok Psikososial dan Gaya Hidup dengan Berat Badan Ibu Selama Hamil di Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu Ibu yang telah melahirkan dengan usia bayi maksimal 6 bulan, yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan dimulai pada bulan April - September 2023. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah satu buah kuisioner, masing-masing variabel berisi 10 – 15 item pernyataan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square dengan nilai p<0.05. Ada hubungan secara signifikan antara tingkat stress, dukungan social, kepuasan perkawinan, dan gaya hidup dengan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat (p<0.05). Tidak ada hubungan secara signifikan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mereubo Kabupaten Aceh Barat (p>0.05). Ada hubungan antara tingkat stress, dukungan social, kepuasan perkawinan, dan gaya hidup dengan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil. Tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan pertambahan berat badan ibu selama hamil. Kata Kunci: Faktor Psikososial, Gaya Hidup, Ibu Hamil, Pertambahan Berat Badan

Abstract

Along with increasing age, women often face various health problems. Problems that occur can be in the form of physical or psychological changes. One of them is the unpreparedness of women in the face of menopause. The Study of Women's Health Across the Nation (SWAN) in the United States show that menopause is associated with psychological stress, where as many as 28.9% experience stress in the early premenopause, 20.9% in the premenopausal stage, and as many as 22% experiences the postmenopausal stage. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of perimenopausal mothers on readiness to face menopause. This research uses mixed methods, where the research is quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative research is an analytic survey using a cross-sectional approach, while qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews with the informants. Of the 62 respondents, 29 respondents (46.8%) who have less knowledge, and 24 (38.7%) of them were not ready to face menopause, with statistical test results obtained p-value 0.000 < sig_α=0.05. As much 37 respondents (59.7%) with a negative attitude, 28 respondents (45.2%) of them were not ready to face menopause, with statistical test results obtained p-value 0.000 < sig_α=0.05. There is a significant relationship between knowledge of perimenopausal mothers and readiness to face menopause. There is a significant relationship between the attitudes of perimenopausal mothers and the readiness to face menopause.

Abstract

Abstract. Stunting and undernutrition remain major public health challenges in Indonesia. Educational interventions are crucial, yet direct, periodic evaluations of print media's impact on children's weight gain are limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of providing child growth and development education using a booklet medium on the weight gain of toddlers aged 24–59 months. A Quasi-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with Repeated Measures was conducted, involving 30 toddlers selected via purposive sampling across Mamuju and West Aceh Regencies. The booklet-based educational intervention was administered and measured over four time points (pre-intervention, month 1, month 2, and month 3). Weight data were analyzed using Repeated Measures ANOVA and followed by a Post Hoc Bonferroni test (after Greenhouse-Geisser correction). Significance was set at ? = 0.05. The main analysis showed a highly significant effect of the education on toddler weight gain (F=40.875, p=0.000). The resulting effect size was large (?p2 = 0.585). The Post Hoc Bonferroni test confirmed that significant weight gain occurred between every time comparison (p ? 0.025). The repeated provision of child growth and development education using booklet media is proven to be highly effective as a strategy to increase and maintain toddler weight gain. This intervention is recommended for consistent integration and implementation within nutrition programs at the Posyandu or Primary Healthcare Center level. Abstrak. Gangguan pertumbuhan balita di Indonesia, khususnya stunting dan gizi kurang, masih menjadi tantangan utama. Intervensi edukasi merupakan strategi kunci, namun evaluasi langsung dan berkala terhadap dampak media edukasi cetak terhadap kenaikan berat badan balita masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian edukasi tumbuh kembang anak menggunakan media booklet terhadap kenaikan berat badan balita usia 24–59 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Quasi-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with Repeated Measures, melibatkan 30 balita yang dipilih secara purposive sampling di Mamuju dan Aceh Barat. Intervensi berupa edukasi booklet diberikan dan diulang pada empat titik pengukuran (sebelum intervensi, bulan pertama, kedua, dan ketiga). Data berat badan dianalisis menggunakan Repeated Measures ANOVA, dilanjutkan Post Hoc Bonferroni (setelah koreksi Greenhouse-Geisser). Tingkat signifikansi ditetapkan ? = 0.05. Analisis utama menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang sangat signifikan dari edukasi terhadap kenaikan berat badan balita (F=40.875, p=0.000). Effect size yang dihasilkan tergolong besar (?p2 = 0.585). Uji Post Hoc Bonferroni mengkonfirmasi bahwa kenaikan berat badan terjadi secara signifikan pada setiap perbandingan antar waktu (p ? 0.025). Pemberian edukasi tumbuh kembang anak menggunakan media booklet secara berulang terbukti sangat efektif sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan dan mempertahankan kenaikan berat badan balita. Intervensi ini direkomendasikan untuk diintegrasikan dan diterapkan konsisten dalam program gizi di tingkat Posyandu atau Puskesmas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by a lack of nutritional intake for a long time, resulting in growthdisorders in children, namely the child's height is lower or shorter (dwarf) than the standard age. Efforts to preventstunting are carried out by processing anchovies into other food ingredients such as anchovy sticks. The purpose ofthis community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of mothers in efforts to prevent and treatstunting through the processing of foodstuffs from anchovies into processed food to be given to children in stuntingprevention. The implementation of this community service activity is by providing counseling and demonstrationsabout processing anchovies into anchovy sticks. The measurement results showed an increase in high knowledge from20% to 93.3%. It is hoped that the implementation of this community service can be a forum to share information andincrease public education related to the processing of anchovies into other food ingredients that can be consumed bybabies and toddlers in an effort to prevent  stunting. Keywords: Stunting, Anchovy Processing, Community Empowerment.  ABSTRAK Stunting adalah masalah kurang gizi kronis yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya asupan gizi dalam waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga mengakibatkan gangguan pertumbuhan pada anak yakni tinggi badan anak lebih rendah atau pendek (kerdil) dari standar usianya. Upaya pencegahan stunting diilakukan dengan pengolahan ikan teri menjadi bahan makanan lainnya seperti stik ikan teri. Tujuan Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu dalam upaya pencegahan dan perawatan stunting melalui pengolahan bahan makanan dari ikan teri menjadi makanan olahan untuk diberikan pada anak dalam pencegahan stunting. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengadian masyarakat ini dengan pemberian penyuluhan dan demontrasi tentang pengolahan ikan teri menjadi stik ikan teri. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan tinggi dari 20% menjadi 93,3%. Diharapkan Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat menjadi wadah untuk berbagi informasi dan meningkatkan edukasi masyarakat terkait dengan pengolahan ikan teri menjadi bahan makanan lain yang dapat dikonsumsi oleh bayi dan balita dalam upaya pencegahan stunting Kata Kunci: Stunting, Pengolahan Ikan Teri, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat.
