Abstract

This study aims to find strategies for developing online teaching methods at POLTEKPAR Bali. Data were obtained by observing and interviewing lecturers and students who attended online class. The data shows that this method has strengths and weaknesses on internal factors and external factors. SWOT analysis is used to determine online teaching development strategies. The results of the analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that exist in internal and external factors show that the online teaching method has a total IFE value of 3.1 and a total EFE value of 2.7 and is in quadrant 1, and needs to be developed with SO, WO, ST and WT strategy. The SO strategy consists of the need for training for lecturers, making teaching standards, through the online system the teaching and learning process can still be carried out as a face-to-face substitute, teaching data is well integrated, utilizing facilities. WO strategies include monitoring lecturers for students, training and teaching standards online systems, motivating students, making interesting teaching materials. ST strategies include lecturers having to understand information technology, make good preparations, continue to strive for the continuity of the teaching and learning process, creatively make interesting teaching materials, and institutions monitor the performance of lecturers and vice versa. WT strategies include making interesting materials to motivate students, improving lecturers' information technology knowledge, training related to online learning, monitoring student attendance, and building good communication, motivating students to be more interactive.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the errors of students in understanding the use of Japanese according to the native cultural context of the speakers. The fault findings were analyzed from the point of view of Japanese culture and Indonesian culture. Common student errors include (1) the inappropriate application of ojigi (bowing), (2) the application of doozo speech (please), shitsurei shimasu (excuse me), sumimasen (sorry, excuse me, thank you) (2) MD sentence structure where very different from the Indonesian sentence structure, and several other errors. By looking at these misunderstandings, the understanding of Japanese cultural literacy must be taught to students. Learners must have intercultural competence so that they can communicate according to the culture of the origin of the foreign language. Several ways have been done by lecturers to improve students' cultural literacy towards understanding the use of Japanese. These methods are (1) role-playing with situations in the workplace, (2) watching videos or pictures that show the real life of Japanese people, (3) with students watching Japanese dramas, then discussing the contents of the drama.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) cannot be separated from entrepreneur and entrepreneurial terms. Many factors influence of SMEs development, both internally and externally. This study tends to observe from internal side, where a factor of entrepreneurship orientation and entrepreneurial competence has had an important role. Dimensions of entrepreneurship orientation are: need for achievement, internal locus of control, self reliance and extroversion. Entrepreneurship orientation is basis that should be owned by every entrepreneur to run their business and the other hand created the competitiveness of SMEs. The need for adequate competence in running a business is considered an urgent thing started, because by having sufficient competence expected of entrepreneurs able to compete both locally and globally. Dimensions competencies are: task/skill, task management skills, contingency management skills, job role environment skills, and transfer skills. By growing and advancement of the business activities of SMEs is an interesting topic to be researched, each of effort is required to have a distinctive competitiveness and unique. To determine competitiveness dimensions includes: valuable resource, rare, difficult to imitate and non-substitutable. The results showed that the entrepreneurship orientation (with a significance value of 0.005) and entrepreneurial competencies (with a significance value of 0.000) have an influence on competitiveness. By knowing the extent of the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competence on the competitiveness of SMEs in DIY, it is expected to help the government, private sector and academicians in facilitating and supporting the development of SMEs in DIY.

Abstract

This research analyzed positioning and brand awareness on decision to purchase Blackberry handphone. The research done in 2013 using 100 students of economic faculties, UGM. The analytical method used was multiple regression. The results showed that a significant differences between positioning with purchasing decisions as indicated by the significance value below 0.005 and brand awareness with purchasing decisions have significance value below 0.000. This suggests that the higher positioning and brand awareness will be increased purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The SMEs sector is one of the drivers of the economy, but in its development there are still many unresolved problems, one related to finance. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of financial literacy or financial knoledge owned by the SMEs businessman (manager) toward the sustainability of their business from the SMEs in the village of Panggungharjo. This research is a quantitative research, using simple linier regression to test the hypothesis and take the population is SMEs in the village of Panggungharjo, while the data is obtained through questionnaires to 30 SMEs in the village of Panngungharjo. Independent variables in this research are financial literacy and business sustainability is dependent variable. The result showed that financial literacy gives effect to business sustainability of 33.8 percent. It shows that financial literacy or financial knowledge owned by the SMEs businessman (manager) in Panggungharjo is important in supporting the sustainability of their business.

Abstract

Gunung Kidul District is one of areas in Yogyakarta Special Region in which has potentialities of special interests of natural tourist destinations. It has about 58 caves, 69 beaches, and many other natural tourist destinations. Most of them are Karst as the main potential of natural destinations. Regarding with the special interests on tourism, Gunung Kidul District has given contribution to the Yogyakarta Regional Revenue on tourism it’s about 4,5 billion in 2012. It means that there is increasing of the revenues about 133 % from 2011, with the regional revenue is about 1,7 billion. Based on the contributions of regional revenues on tourism field, and the significant increase of the tourists, especially in Pindul Cave and Indrayanti Beach during last five years, it is necessary to have research on Marketing Strategies of Pindul cave Tourist Destinations and Indrayanti Beach. The aim of the research is to analyze the Marketing strategy of Pindul cave and Indrayanti Beach. Another purpose to discover factors weather internal or external factors give influences to the Marketing strategy of Pindul Cave and Indrayanti Beach. To get comprehensive data, this research used several data collection methods, participary observations, and in–depth interview with visitors, agencies, communities, government, and local people. Based on the descriptive analyze of the 30 interviewers about Pindul Cave and Indrayanti Beach , most of them explained that marketing of Pindul Cave and Indrayanti Beach are quite good. The analyze proved that the agencies and the marketing strategies of Pindul Cave and Indrayanti Beach are at the first (I) quadrant (the Growth), in which they have opportunities and strengths to be developed, with the differencies of their opportunities and strength .

Abstract

This research analyzed positioning and brand awareness on decision to purchase i-Phone. The research done in 2013 using 100 students of economic faculties, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). The analytical method used was multiple regression. The results showed that a significant differences between positioning with purchasing decisions as indicated by the significance value likewise brand awareness with purchasing decisions. This suggests that positioning and brand awareness variables will be increased purchasing decisions.

Abstract

A brand trust that has been highly expected by consumers indicates the brand image of the product is also high, thus moving consumers to make a purchase of a product. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this study used convenience side techniques with 100 respondents. The data collection method used a closed questionnaire and the analysis technique used is PLS. The results showed that product quality has a positive effect on customer satisfaction and repurchase decision. Brand trust has a positive effects on customer satisfaction but has no effect on repurchase decision. Consumer satisfaction has a positive effect on repurchase decision. Consumer satisfaction mediates product quality and brand trust on the repurchases decision of wedang uwuh halal.

Abstract

Village Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) are economic institutions in rural areas that are fully managed by village communities aiming at the welfare of the village community. This study aims to find out the performance, performance inhibiting factors, and conceivable efforts to improve the performance of BUM Desa Catur Mandiri managers. The study design used descriptive qualitative. To find out the performance of the managers BUM Desa using performance indicators of productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, and accountability. The results of the study show that the performance of the managers of BUM Desa is still low because three of the five indicators have not been met (productivity, service quality, and responsiveness). The factors hampering the performance of the managers of BUM Desa Catur Mandiri are human resources, internal coordination, lack of initiative to innovate products and marketing, mastery of technology, services that are not yet customer-oriented, lack of ability to explore community aspirations in doing business, lack of government support, and low village community participation. Efforts that must be made by the managers of BUM Catur Mandiri Village to improve their performance include increasing the quality of human resources, affirming the Standard Operating Procedure, developing the concept of social entrepreneurship and empowering community-based participation in running their business activities.

Abstract

Sebagai unsur utama aparatur negara dan abdi masyarakat Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) mempunyai kedudukan dan peranan penting dalam penyelenggaraan tugas organisasi pemerintahan dan pembangunan agar terselenggaranya good govermance (pemerintahan yang baik). Dalam hal ini diperlukan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang memiliki akhlak dan budi pekerti yang baik, setia, berkemampuan melaksanakan tugas secara profesional, bertanggung jawab, bersih dari praktek Korupsi Kolusi dan Nepotisme (KKN) serta mampu menjadi perekat persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Kinerja PNS yang baik secara langsung akan mempengaruhi kinerja lembaga. Untuk memperbaiki kinerja PNS tentu merupakan suatu pekerjaan yang memakan waktu panjang. Selain dengan meningkatkan pengawasan dan pembinaan, juga dilakukan penilaian terhadap tingkat keberhasilan kinerja yang telah dilakukan. Penilaian terhadap kinerja juga bermanfaat sebagai tolak ukur yang dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki kinerja pegawai yang bersangkutan dapat dilakukan secara terarah dan sistematis. Salah satu faktor yang menentukan profesionalisme kerja yang optimal dalam sebuah instansi pemerintah adalah peningkatan kinerja pegawai. UPT Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Pegawai Kabupaten Gunungkidul menghadapi tugas-tugas, tantangan dan tuntutan pelayanan yang tidak ringan di masa yang akan datang. Hal itu disebabkan karena semakin berkembangnya kebutuhan para stakeholder sebagai akibat dari perkembangan kehidupan masyarakat. Untuk itu UPT Balai Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Pegawai sebagai penyedia layanan perlu mengambil langkah-langkah persiapan dan perencanaan yang matang dalam mewujudkan sasaran-sasaran program pendidikan dan pelatihan yaitu agar terwujudnya sumber daya aparatur yang berkemampuan dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsi jabatannya. Evaluasi Penyelenggaraan Diklat Teknis Pelayanan Publik telah di peroleh hasil penelitian yaitu (1) Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Efektivitas Penyelenggaraan Diklat (a) Perkembangan teknologi UPT Balai Diklat Pegawai Kabupaten Gunungkidul disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penyelenggaraan diklat (b) Penyusunan program diklat yang terdiri dari kurikulum dan metode pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan Analisis Kebutuhan Diklat (2) Evaluasi kinerja penyelenggaraan diklat teknis (a) Proses persiapan penyelenggaraan diklat terdiri dari persiapan administrasi (rekrutmen) peserta diklat dan persiapan akademis peserta diklat (b) Panitia diklat berperan penting pada awal hingga akhir kegiatan diklat dimana panitia diklat terdiri dari tim koordinasi, tim pengamat dan sekretariat.
