Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the work motivation and recognition on employee loyalty at XYZ Hotel Bali Uluwatu. The data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 63 respondents from various departmentsat XYZ Hotel Bali Uluwatu. The data analysis technique employed include a classical assumption test, a multiple linear regression analysis, determination analysis, correlation analysist, t-test, and F test. The data analysis tool used is the SPSS version 25 program for windows. The result of this research showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with significance value of 0,003 < 0,05. Similarly, the provision of recognition has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with significance value of 0,009 < 0,05. Work motivation and recognition simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty with significance value of 0,000 < 0,05 and R2 value of 52,6%. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that XYZ Hotel Bali Uluwatu enhance work motivation and provide additional recognition such as extra wage, bonuses, carrier facilities and the like to increase employee loyalty and attachment at XYZ Hotel Bali Uluwatu.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out and describing the profile of linguistic lanscape, namely the languages used in the informational signs in Nusa Dua, Bali tourist destination. These signs can include information boards, warning boards, prohibition board, and boards for the name of hotels, buildings, restaurants, food courts, spa, shopping center and hospital. This research was a qualiatative in nature through describing the languages used in the tourist destination. The data was obtained by means of handphone camera, and about 116 visual pictures were collected. The results showed that there are 8 (eight) variations in the use of languages in the linguistic landscape in Nusa Dua, Bali tourist destination. The eight variations were: 1) Indonesian 2). English, 3). bilingual Indonesian and English, 4). bilingual English and Indonesian, 5). bilingual Balinese and English, 6). multilingual Balinese, Indonesian and English, 7). multilingual Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean, and 9) multilingual Balinese, English, Japanese, Chinese. Abstract

The linguistic landscape, defined as the visibility and representation of languages in public spaces, mirrors societal multilingualism and cultural dynamics. This study delves into the intricate interplay of language and society within the tourism village landscape of Pentingsari in Yogyakarta. It employed qualitative methods, including ethnographic observation, document analysis, and interviews, to decipher the layers of meaning embedded in the linguistic landscape. Ethnographic observation involves systematic documentation of linguistic elements encountered in public spaces, including signs, advertisements, and graffiti. Document analysis further scrutinized these linguistic artefacts' textual and visual features, identifying patterns and themes within the linguistic landscape of the village. It found that the linguistic landscape of Pentingsari Tourism Village was characterized by multilingual and codeswitching phenomena, evidenced by the utilization of various languages, including Indonesian, Javanese, Arabic, and English. In addition, it also showed that the phenomena were not primarily due to its status as a tourism village, but rather, it served the needs of the local community.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh firm generated content terhadap minat beli tamu, pengaruh electronic word of mouth terhadap minat beli tamu, serta pengaruh firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth secara simultan terhadap minat beli tamu di Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pengikut di media sosial instagram Sthala Ubud Bali, dengan hasil 100 kuesioner dikembalikan dan layak untuk dianalisis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, koefisien determinasi, dan sumbangan efektif dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows version 25. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa firm generated content secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu, electronic word of mouth secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu, serta firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli tamu di Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali by Marriott International. Firm generated content dan electronic word of mouth memberikan pengaruh sebesar 54,1% terhadap minat beli tamu, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 45,9% disebabkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak disebutkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia berdampak langsung pada kinerja karyawan, dan SDM juga berdampak besar dalam mewujudkan visi perusahaan. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai atau prestasi kerja adalah motivasi, kepuasan kerja, tingkat stres, kondisi fisik, pekerjaan, sistem kompensasi dan aspek ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di Hotel DEF, Canggu, Bali. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 33 responden yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 33 karyawan Hotel DEF, Canggu, Bali. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji asumsi klasik, uji analisis regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi dengan menggunakan program SPSS for Windows versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai Sig 0,002 < 0,05. Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai Sig 0,000 < 0,05. Kompensasi dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai Sig 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, saran yang dapat diberikan kepada Hotel DEF, Canggu, Bali adalah mengurangi beban kerja dengan menambah OJT (On the Job Training) sebagai asisten dalam operasional hotel.

Abstract

Employee performance in the hospitality industry is significantly influenced by leadership style, motivation, and job training. The KRU, as a luxury destination in Bali, needs to understand these factors to enhance employee performance and guest services. This study aims to analyse the impact of leadership style, motivation, and job training on employee performance at The KRU. This research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to the resort's employees. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics and regression analysis to assess the relationships between variables. The analysis results indicate that supportive leadership styles and high motivation significantly affect employee performance improvement. Additionally, effective job training contributes to enhanced skills and productivity among employees. Leadership style, motivation, and job training have a significant positive impact on employee performance. Recommendations are provided to enhance leadership approaches and training programs to maximize employee performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the quality of Service Express Agent services at The ACC Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali. Data collection was conducted through direct interviews with the Service Express Manager, internal users, and external users at the resort. A qualitative descriptive data analysis was employed referring to the dimensions of service quality: tangibles (physical evidence), reliability, responsivenes, assurance and emphaty. The findings indicate that the overall sevice quality of the Service Express Agent is very good, particularly in the dimensions of tangibles, responsiveness, assurance and emphaty. However, there is a need for improvement in the reliability dimension, especially in addressing service delay during peak seasons or high-demand periods. To enhance service quality, ACC management should implement regular training and mentoring programs for staff.

Abstract

This community service project aims to empower the local community of Tenganan Dauh Tukad by enhancing their capacity to promote cultural tourism through digital platforms. Framed around the theme of Tenganan as The Living Culture Destination, the project was implemented in three phases: documentation, content development, and community training. In the first phase, local youth were involved in capturing high-quality photo and video content during the traditional Perang Pisang event. In the second phase, the materials were edited into Instagram-optimized formats using a custom visual identity that reflects the village’s values—Asli (Authentic), Sakral (Sacred), Teguh Tradisi (Tradition-bound), Edukatif (Educational), and Elegan (Elegant). The third phase focused on training participants in managing Instagram, creating content calendars, and applying preset filters through the Lightroom mobile app. The outcome includes the rebranding of the village’s Instagram account to @tengananexperience and the development of a content strategy based on the pillars: Be Promotional, Be Human, and Be Entertaining. This initiative not only improved the digital skills of the community but also strengthened their cultural pride and established a sustainable model for cultural tourism promotion. Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the choices of words or terms used for commercial accommodation in Sayan Tourism Village, Bali. The data were collected by taking pictures of accommodation signages using handphone camera. The data were then selected and a number of 107 pictures were appropriate to be analyzed. Firstly, they were classifiedon the bases of similarity in choice of words and languages used and quantitatively presented. Secondly, they were analyzed using qualitative approach. The results showed that there were 21 (twenty-one) variations used in signages or name plaques to refer to accommodation namely: Cottage, Kubu, Pondok, Puri, Rumah, Bungalow, Villa, Resort, House, Guesthouse, House, Accommodation, Casa, combination of Kubu and House, Kubu and Villa, Pondokand Griya, Pondokand Guest House, Pondok and Villa, Casaand Villa, Villa and Rumah, and using name only without word representing accommodation. It was also found out thatmultilingualism existed in the naming of accommodation, by using Balinese, Indonesian, English and Italian. The term “villa” wasthe most frequently used then followed by “pondok”, and “house”. The other terms were not used as many as these three terms. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of green human resource management and green organizational culture on employee green behavior. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with 87 respondents who were employees of ABC Bali Resort. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used in this study were multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, correlation coefficient, and coefficient of determination. The result shows that green human resource management has a positive and significant effect on employee green behavior, green organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee green behavior, and green human resource management and green organizational culture simultaneously have a significant effect on employee green behavior. The coefficient of determination indicates that both independent variables are able to explain 62.3% of the variation in employee green behavior, while the remaining 37.7% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Based on the results of the study, it shows that employee participation in programs that support environmental sustainability is still low. In addition, resources in operations, electricity and water have not been used efficiently and sustainably.
