Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aimed at finding out how far the use of intensive method could help the students in grade VIIIA of SMP PGRI 7 Denpasar, this is also to improve their ability especially in using and adding affixes in noun and verb. The data source was taken from the test which is called by pretest and post-test. The data is collected from student in grade VIIIA. Some theoretical frameworks are used in this research, such as the theory of morphology generative by Aronoff (2011) and theory of intensive method by Iskandarwassid (2013). The result of quantitative data on cycle II showed that the use of intensive method could improve students ability especially in adding affixes with noun (plural and singular) and verb (present tense, continous tense, and past tense). The result of the students on cycle II, it can be seen from mean score which was 92.08 and it is categorized into good level. This research also supported by the qualitative data. From the qualitative data, it was showed that the students could answer the missing sentences. Besides, the students could use affixes in steam and root well. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan sejauh mana penerapan dari metode intensif dapat membantu peserta didik kelas VIIIA SMP PGRI 7 Denpasar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka khususnya dalam penggunaan dan penambahan afiks pada nomina dan verba. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil tes berupa pre-tes dan postes. Data yang terkumpul berasal dari peserta didik kelas VIIIA. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan teori morfologi generatif dari Aronoff (2011) dan metode intensif dari Iskandarwassid (2013). Hasil data kuantitatif pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode intensif dalam pembelajaran afiks dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik dalam hal menambahkan afiks pada2nomina (tunggal dan jamak) dan verba (pada present tense, continous tense, dan past tense). Hasil nilai rata-rata pada siklus II dari peserta didik yaitu 92.08 yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai sangat baik. Penelitian ini juga didukung oleh data kualitatif. Dari data kualitatif dapat dilihat bahwa peserta didik mampu menjawab dengan baik kalimat rumpang dan menggunakan afiks pada nomina serta verba.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tipe semantik dari verba “membawa” dalam bahasa Osing Banyuwangi berdasarkan persepektif teori Metabahasa Semantik Alami (MSA). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa data lisan dari masyarakat Banyuwangi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara kualitatif-deskriptif. Verba “membawa” dalam bahasa Osing menjelaskan sesuatu mengenai komposisi ‘tindakan’yang bersumber dari polisemi makna asali yaitu ‘melakukan’ dan ‘berpindah’ ke sesuatu lainnya dan menempatkan ke bagian tubuh manusia. Penelitian ini dijelaskan dengan menggunakan teknik uraian yang bertujuan untuk menemukan persamaan atau perbedaan dari leksikon verba “membawa” berdasarkan semantik alaminya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa leksikon verba “membawa” dapat dijelaskan ke dalam beberapa butir leksikon yaitu diantaranya nyangking, mikul, nyuwun, ngѐndong, dan ngemplok.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of greetings and forms of T-V greetings used by Japanese teenagers. Sources of data used are data in the form of questionnaires, list of questions, and supported by data sourced from Japanese movies and Japanese cartoons (anime). The theory used is the theory of types of yobikake according Hiromi and Theory T-V Brown-Gillman (1960). Methods and techniques of data provision are made with questionnaires and interview methods to Japanese adolescents. Methods and techniques of data analysis are performed by referential reference method. Methods and techniques of presentation of data analysis results use informal and formal methods. Result of research shows that there are three kinds of greeting found. The three types of greeting, personal pronouns 'ninshoo daimeshi', greeting of the suffixed name of self / form Mr / Mrs 'keishou', and greeting in the term kinship 'shinzoku yougomei'. The greetings that are found contain the T-V form. Greetings of personal pronoun of the form of T found are atashi, ore, boku, jibun, wa-shi, a-shi, wa-shitachi, atashitachi, oretachi, uchira, anta, omae, kimi, temee, omaetachi, and minna. Greetings personal pronouns of V form found are watakushi, watashi, watashitachi, anata, anatatachi, minasama and minasan. The greetings of suffixed self name containing T shapes are greetings with the suffixes ~ kun and ~ chan. The greetings of suffixed self name containing V-shapes, are greetings with suffixes ~ sama, ~ dono, and ~ san. Greetings in the term kinship that contain the form T are ojiichan, jiiji, obaachan, baaba, papa, oyaji, otou, mama, okaa, kaasan, onii, oniichan, oneechan, neechan, and imoutochan. Greetings in the term kinship containing the form V, are ojiisan, obaasan, otousan, okaasan, oniisan, ani, ane, otouto, and imouto.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the syntactic function of the function, category, and tree diagram in the talk show one “Indonesia Lawyer Club” on TV ONE. This study uses the theory of RRG (Role and Reference Grammar) proposed by Robert D. Van Valin, Jr. and Randy J. LaPolla (1997). This research data is in the form of sentences in Indonesian language. The data was collected using refer method and note technic. The main method that was used to analyze data was distributional method, while the application of this method was assisted with based technique, direct element distributional technique. The result is presented using formal and informal method with inductive and deduktive technique. The result are the syntactic functions contain subject, predicate (core) or nucleus, and objects, the category of subject and object is a noun, while the predicate (nucleus) is a verb and an adjective, and the subject's role is as an actor, the object as a patient, and the predicate (nucleus) describes the activities or circumstances. Nucleus or the core of the sentence is on the right. Besides, it was also found the result in the form of tree structure or tree diagram in its category.

Abstract

This article focuses in analyzing the semantic structure of ‘go up’ verb in Japanese language. The data was collected from newspaper article from website asahi.com by observation method and note-taking techniques. The data was analyzed using distribution method. Distribution method was used to analyze semantic structure by using Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) theory developed by Goddard and Wierzbicka (2014). The results shows that ‘go up’ verb in Japanese Language consists of verb noru, noboru, and agaru. Each verb had distinctive features that differentiate one verb to the others.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the transitivity system in the Inaugural Speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo. Transitivity studies relate to grammatical elements that can be used to reveal participants involved in an event. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data source of this research was obtained from the President Joko Widodo's Inauguration Speech Text for the 2014-2019 period which was downloaded through the site www.youtube.com. The theory used is the Functional Systemic Linguistic Theory (LSF) proposed by Halliday (1985). The method and data collection technique used is the method of referring to the note taking technique. The method of presenting the results of the analysis of the data used is a general method for applying the presentation of all forms of speech in research in the form of descriptions of words, phrases, groups of phrases, clauses, and texts. The results showed that the types of processes contained in the research data were material, mental, verbal, relational, and behavioral processes. Each process labels its participants. Circumstan which is present in this research data is in the form of time and situation circumferences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk tingkat kesantunan berbahasa guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata maupun kalimat yang mengandung pematuhan prinsip kesantunan dan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik simak, teknik catat, wawancara, dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peneliti menemukan 18 data yang mengandung 5 pematuhan prinsip kesantunan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis mengenai tingkat pematuhan kesantunan berbahasa guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1  Kuta Utara dapat dikatakan guru lebih santun dalam penggunaan bahasa, karena jumlah pematuhan prinsip kesantunan berbahasa guru lebih banyak dibanding tingkat kesantunan berbahasa pada siswa terutama pada maksim penghargaan dimana guru lebih banyak menerapkan maksim ini untuk membangkitkan semangat belajar pada siswa. Kata kunci  :   prinsip kesantunan berbahasa, maksim

Abstract

Understanding of Soekarno / Bung Karno must be done thoroughly. This political figure and independence proclamator has established himself as a respected person in the world. That is why, as many as twenty-six titles of Doctoral Causa were awarded to Bung Karno who came from renowned universities in the world. However, behind all that, during the occupation, Bung Karno went in and out of prison. Still as a detainee at Sukamiskin Prison (1926), Sukarno underwent a trial by filing a plea titled Indonesia Menggugat in Lanraad Building, Bandung. The interesting thing in his plea was that the target was not only directed at the judges who were convening it, but also outside parties, especially the Dutch who were perpetrators of imperialism. He reminded the Netherlands that he was not a rebel, but someone who wanted to claim his right to independence. Prison, seizing independence, the PRRI-Permesta rebellion, liberation of West Irian, confrontation with Malaysia, and the rebellion of the G 30 S / PKI, are historical facts that characterize his struggle. To reveal all this, the data of this paper comes from various sources, which are generally understood by the public, especially the educated. Thus, methodologically, this paper is a historical retrospection, looking back at the traces of politics and the struggle of Bung Karno.

Abstract

The method of language teaching to achieve communicative competencies to be a choice in second language learning has not developed widely at this time. This paper aims to present the workings of the Linguistic Method as a form of revaluation of traditional methods of language teaching which are considered to have not met the requirements of BIPA Teaching Standardization. The traditional teaching methods applied so far still revolve around the Direct Method and Translation Method. Both of these methods are suspected of not being able to bring learners to communicative competence. The application of the Direct Method has not shown maximum results because it only relies on teaching methods by prioritizing the use of the target language (second language), but the issue of teaching material does not receive an adequate portion to achieve the expected communicative competence. Similarly the Translation Method which basically attempts to convey material by translating it into learner language (generally in English to deal with heterogeneous classes), nor touching teaching material. In connection with that, Cognitive Linguistics which gave birth to Cognitivism Theory and is known as the Linguistic Method in second language teaching is important to be applied to achieve communicative competence. By the standardization it means that method of language teaching must be measured by the linguistic methods itself as a guidance: teaching each aspect of language, such as grammatical patterns, vocabulary groups, and sound devices is carried out in five stages, namely recognition, imitation, repetition, variation, and selection.
