Abstract

Early mobilization is important for postpartum mothers after normal delivery or Sectio Cesarea. That is two hours after giving birth, at that time a mother must sleep on her back then tilt to the left or right then sit and stand. This study aims to determine the relationship between early mobilization and wound healing after cesarean section surgery at RSU Al Islam H.M Mawardi Krian. This research used a cross-sectional method, with a Systematic Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 70 respondents. Data collection was carried out by filling out a questionnaire created by the researcher and filled in by the respondent. The collected data was processed using statistical tests to be analyzed using the chi square test with (α) 0.05. The results of the study showed that almost all respondents carried out early mobilization which was carried out less than 6 hours after cesarean section surgery as many as 69 people (97.2%) and almost all respondents healed wounds after cesarean section surgery in good criteria as many as 68 people (95.8%). %). The results of the rho rank spearmen correlation analysis test show that the p value is 0.000, meaning there is a relationship between early mobilization and healing of SC Eracs surgical wounds at RSU Al Islam H.M Mawardi Krian. The correlation coefficient value obtained was 0.811, meaning that early mobilization and wound healing after SC surgery were very strong. Early mobilization is related to the healing of surgical wounds so it is hoped that health workers will always provide education and provide care to postpartum mothers after SC surgery to increase motivation in mobilizing after SC surgery.

Abstract

Pre-eclampsia is a serious complication of pregnancy that can harm both mother and fetus. Several risk factors are known to influence the incidence of pre-eclampsia, one of which is Body Mass Index (BMI) which is associated with obesity and metabolic disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between BMI and the incidence of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women at Bangil Pasuruan Hospital. Methods: This study used an analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were obtained through the medical records of pregnant women who underwent examinations at Bangil Hospital. The study sample consisted of 84 pregnant women who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. BMI data was calculated based on the mother's weight and height, while the diagnosis of pre-eclampsia was determined through medical examination according to applicable criteria. The analysis showed a p value = 0.003, indicating a significant association between BMI and the incidence of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women. This indicates that pregnant women with higher BMI have a greater risk of developing pre-eclampsia. The conclusion of this study is that BMI is a significant risk factor for the incidence of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women at Bangil Pasuruan Hospital. Therefore, it is important to monitor and manage weight in pregnant women as part of efforts to prevent pre-eclampsia.

Abstract

Kata Kunci : Usia, Pengetahuan, KIPI, Bayi ABSTRACT Background: Immunization is one of the most effective public health interventions and has been proven to reduce morbidity and mortality rates from vaccine-preventable diseases. Prevalence data on adverse events following immunization (AEFI) in various countries and in Indonesia show that mild local reactions are the most commonly reported type of AEFI. In Indonesia, data from the 2013 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) recorded that approximately 33.4% of children experienced AEFI. Common symptoms reported included swelling (20.2%), redness (20.6%), and high fever (6.8%).Objective: To identify the relationship between age and maternal knowledge in handling post-immunization adverse events in infants aged 0-1 year.Method:  The methodology used in this study was a cross-sectional design. The target population was 56 respondents, from which a sample of 40 respondents was taken. Sampling was conducted using accidental sampling techniques. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire to measure the variables of age and knowledge. The data were then analyzed statistically using the chi-square test. Results: The data obtained showed that the proportion of respondents with good knowledge reached 42.5%, and the majority of respondents (52.5%) were of active reproductive age (18-35 years). The results of the inferential analysis using the chi-square test reinforced these findings, showing that the variables of age and maternal knowledge were significantly related to the management of AEFI in infants aged 0-1 year, with a probability value of p = 0.000.Conclusion: Age can influence mothers' knowledge of how to handle KIPI in infants aged 0-1 year at the Kalimantan Clinic, Gresik.Suggestion: Conducting socialization and KIE (information, education, and communication) about the immunization program, including explanations about possible side effects, will reduce mothers' concerns and fears. Keywords: Age, Knowledge, KIPI, Infants

Abstract

The incidence of general developmental delays is not known with certainty, but it is estimated that around 1-3% of children under the age of 5 years experience developmental delay disorders in general. WHO globally described 52.9 million children less than 5 years old, 54% of boys had developmental disorders in 2016. About 95% of children with developmental disorders live in low- and middle-income countries. One way to stimulate children is to use Brain Gym, which is a structured non-aerobic physical exercise intervention in which a combination of certain patterns of movement across the head, eyes, and extremities is performed along with brain and breathing exercises. Brain Gym routine performance results in stimulation and integration of various parts of the brain and motor skills in children. The implementation method is in the form of training with lecture and practical methods. The results showed an increase in the development of pre-school age children in Nurun Insani Kindergarten at the age of 5 and 6 years, namely 100%.

Abstract

Abortion was one of the leading causes of maternal mortality. In early pregnancy, bleeding could occur as a result of abortion. This study aimed to identify the factors associated with the incidence of abortion at Sakinah Islamic Hospital, Mojokerto, in 2023. A case-control design was employed in this study. The sample consisted of 158 cases selected through total sampling and 158 controls selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that age and history of abortion were significantly associated with the incidence of abortion, as indicated by a p-value of less than 0.05. In contrast, parity was not significantly associated with the incidence of abortion. These findings indicated that maternal age and previous abortion history were important factors related to abortion incidence, whereas parity did not show a significant relationship. Based on these findings, preventive efforts could have included routine antenatal counseling and family planning counseling for couples of reproductive age. These measures were expected to support well-planned pregnancies and reduce the risk of abortion

Abstract

Providing anticipatory guidance is a crucial step for parents in understanding the various risks that arise during each phase of a child’s growth and development. A lack of understanding in this area often makes it difficult for mothers to respond to the challenges of their toddlers’ growth and development. This study aims to improve mothers’ knowledge and change their attitudes and behaviors regarding the provision of guidance and advice on health issues at each stage of their children’s development. The methods used in this program included health education and intensive training on anticipatory guidance strategies. Participants were mothers of toddlers in the service area of the relevant community health center. Evaluation was conducted by comparing mothers’ knowledge levels before and after the intervention. The results showed that the majority of participants—50%—had a high level of education. The post-intervention evaluation revealed a 20% increase in the knowledge scores of mothers of toddlers compared to before the intervention. This indicates that the education and training methods were highly effective in improving parents’ understanding of the importance of anticipatory guidance. In conclusion, improving mothers’ knowledge is a key factor in improving parenting behaviors. It is hoped that this activity can serve as a sustainable step toward minimizing child development issues through the active role of parents within the family environment.

Abstract

Anxiety is a psychological response commonly experienced by primigravida pregnant women as they prepare for their first childbirth. The mother’s age is one of the factors that influence her emotional maturity and level of anxiety. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age and anxiety levels among primigravid mothers at Reksowaluyo Hospital in Mojokerto. This study employed a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 40 primigravid mothers selected using total sampling. The research instrument was an anxiety level questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results showed that the majority of respondents experienced mild anxiety, namely 27 respondents (67.5%). Statistical analysis revealed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.568 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.01).There is a significant, positive, and strong relationship between age and anxiety levels among primigravida mothers. As the age of mothers within the healthy reproductive period increases, anxiety levels tend to rise, indicating that factors such as cognitive maturity and expectations play a role in mothers’ perception of anxiety. It is recommended that healthcare providers provide personalized education and psychological support to help mothers adaptively manage their anxiety in preparation for childbirth
