Abstract

This research aims to examine the efforts of two elementary schools, namely Inpres Doyo Baru and Besum State Elementary Schools in Jayapura Regency, in implementing School Health Efforts. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with 12 informants, consisting of 10 key informants, 6 main informants, and 3 additional informants. The results of this study reveal that both schools integrate health education in the curriculum, especially in subjects sports physical Education and health and Scouts. A school environment that is free from bullying and violence, as well as the availability of clean and well-maintained toilets, also supports the creation of a healthy learning environment. Support from School Operational Assistance funds and active participation from various parties, including the government, non-government organizations and the community, are important factors in the smooth running of the School Health Business program. The efforts of the Inpres Doyo Baru and Besum State Elementary Schools in implementing School Health Efforts show their commitment to building a healthy and quality young generation.

Abstract

Good Drug Distribution Methods (CDOB) aim to ensure quality along the drug distribution route according to the requirements and purposes of use. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of CDOB in 22 Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (PBF) in Jayapura City. This quantitative descriptive research uses a questionnaire to assess 9 aspects of CDOB. The results showed that the quality management aspect: 77.3% PBF was qualified, organization, management, and personnel: 59.1% PBF was qualified, building and equipment: 22.7% PBF was qualified, operations: 40.9% PBF was qualified, self-inspection: 50% PBF was qualified, product complaints, returns, suspected counterfeiting, and drug recalls: 72.7% PBF was qualified, transportation: 90.9% PBF was qualified, documentation:  72.7% of PBFs are eligible.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation, social aspects, and environmental stressors of cannabis-using patients treated at the Abepura Regional Mental Hospital, Papua Province. This research is a qualitative study with Collaizi's research method. The research subjects were five ethnic Papuan patients who were admitted to the Abepura Regional Mental Hospital, Papua Province. The patient population was five men with an age range of 25-39 years. The research was conducted in December 2023-January 2024. The results of the study for the motivation of marijuana users are peer influence, and seeking recognition and sensation. The results for social aspects are low economic status and poor relationships with parents. The results of the study for environmental stressors are low self-acceptance and dissatisfaction due to unmet needs at home.

Abstract

The prevalence of stress experienced by Indonesian students is 36.7–71.6%. Academic stress also occurs in students in Papua. However, the causative factors have not been revealed. The aim of this study was to reveal the academic stress of medical students of Cenderawasih University and its related factors. The research used is cross-sectional, sampling technique uses purposive sampling, with a total sample of 188. The research was carried out in December 2023 at the Faculty of Medicine, Cenderawasih University, Jayapura. The result showed a significant and risky relationship with student academic stress are academic factors  (p-value 0.018) RP=2,704, and health conditions (p-value 0.021)  RP=5,143. All of these factors must be managed well by Medical education team management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Risk Attributes and risks of medication adherence in patients with pulmonary TB. Type of survey research designed by cross sectional. A sample of 81 people was taken using the purposive sampling technique. The results of the study were with the variable value of RA = -21%, RP=1(0.19-5.9), gender RA=18%, PR 1.7(0.9-3.3), education RA=-16%, PR =0.57. Work RA = 19%, RP = 2.12 (0.72-6.22). TB MDR RA =62%, RP=16 (5.2-48.4). Side effects  of RA Drug = 30%, PR = 2.5 (1.2-4.88), History of Comorbidities RA = 61%, PR = 3.6(2.02-6.6), duration of treatment RA = 50% PR = 3.8 (2-7). The variable that contributes the most to medication adherence is MDR TB status.
