Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi Busur dan Juring Lingkaran berdasarkan Tahapan Kesalahan Kastolan (konseptual, prosedural, dan teknis). Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh indikasi adanya kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika, terutama terkait ketidakmampuan menerapkan langkah-langkah pengerjaan seperti menuliskan rumus dan satuan dengan benar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas XII SMA Veteran 1 Sukoharjo yang sedang mempelajari materi tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami semua jenis kesalahan Kastolan dengan proporsi yang bervariasi: kesalahan prosedural sebesar 71,4%; kesalahan teknis sebesar 14,3%; dan kesalahan konseptual sebesar 10,7%. Kesimpulannya, kesalahan yang paling banyak dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan prosedural dengan persentase dominan (71,4%). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kesulitan utama siswa terletak pada ketidakruntutan atau ketidakmampuan memanipulasi langkah-langkah penyelesaian soal. Secara umum, kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal busur dan juring lingkaran disebabkan oleh kurangnya ketelitian dalam pengerjaan dan kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam konsep serta mengoperasikan bilangan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Weru Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen sederhana. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Weru Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang terbagi menjadi 9 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan cara cluster random sampling subjek penelitian terdiri 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 30 siswa dan kelas VIII F sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 32 siswa, materi pembahasan dalam penelitian ini adalah teorema pythagoras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda, dengan kata lain ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Weru tahun ajaran 2018/2019 Kabupaten Sukoharjo.

Abstract

The partner in this Community Service Program is the Mandala Bhakti Health Vocational School, Pharmacy Department, located at Jalan Singosari Utara II, Nusukan Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. Iron deficiency is a common nutritional problem, especially among adolescents. Scrap iron waste from machine shops has the potential to be used as a source of ferrous sulfate for the manufacture of iron supplements. This activity aims to develop iron supplement tablets from ferrous sulfate synthesized from iron scrap, ensure their safety through heavy metal testing, and enhance pharmaceutical entrepreneurship knowledge (pharmaceutical entrepreneurship) among vocational high school students. A total of 20 vocational high school students were involved in training that covered ferrous sulfate synthesis, tablet formulation, and product marketing strategies. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as heavy metal contamination analysis (Pb, Cu, Cd). The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, with an average pre-test score of 70 and a post-test score of 100. Heavy metal analysis showed no contamination (Pb: 0 ppm, Cu: 0 ppm, Cd: 0 ppm), making the tablets safe for use. This activity proved effective in enhancing students' knowledge and skills, and demonstrated that industrial waste can be utilized to produce valuable pharmaceutical products. The program supports the development of research-based and environmentally friendly pharmaceutical entrepreneurship among the younger generation.

Abstract

Zinc waste is a type of waste that comes from the use or production of zinc metal. Zinc waste is widely used in the production of paint, ceramics, glass, lamps, and pesticides. Zinc waste is very dangerous if not properly processed/utilized. If disposed of in large quantities into waterways, zinc waste can cause environmental pollution. Zinc waste is actually needed in water, but only in very small amounts. If the zinc content in water exceeds the specified threshold, it will be dangerous and toxic to living organisms. Excess zinc waste will damage the aquatic and soil ecosystems, which will certainly also have an impact on the health of living creatures and pose health risks to humans, such as digestive disorders and damage to certain organs. To reduce the amount of zinc waste, it is necessary to synthesize zinc waste into zinc sulfate. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sulfuric acid concentration on the yield and purity of zinc sulfate from zinc waste. The synthesis process includes pre-treatment, which is carried out by reducing the size of the zinc waste, then soaking the zinc waste in hydrochloric acid (HCl) to dissolve the oxide layer contained in it, cleaning the zinc surface of crusts, and separating the zinc from its mixture. Then, the synthesis process is carried out using a sulfuric acid (H2SO4) solution with varying concentrations (20%, 30%, 35%, and 45%) with heating at a temperature of 75-80° C and stirring at a speed of 300-350 rpm. Filtration is then carried out, and the filtrate obtained is heated until the solution becomes saturated, followed by a crystallization process. It is cooled to room temperature, and zinc sulfate crystals are obtained. In this study, white zinc sulfate heptahydrate (ZnSO4.7H2O) was obtained using a 45% sulfuric acid (H2SO4) solution, yielding a weight of zinc sulfate heptahydrate (ZnSO4.7H2O) of 3.1729 grams, a ZnSO4.7H2O concentration of 52.80% and the purity level of ZnSO4.7H2O was 96.28%.

Abstract

The goal of this community dedication program is to enhance the quality of scientific articles written in SD N.2 Bangsri Purwantoro Wonogiri, with the aim of publishing them in the indexed journal Sinta. The main problems faced were the lack of knowledge of teachers about the quality of scientific articles, the importance of scientific work in IPTEK's growth, and the significance of the author's reputation in indexed journals. The dedication methods used include training, workshops, seminars, and mentoring. Training and workshops are held on a regular basis with the involvement of experts and practitioners of scientific writing. Seminars and discussions feature relevant case studies to enhance the understanding of participants. Program performance evaluation is carried out through periodic monitoring, qualitative and quantitative assessments, as well as results analysis. Program sustainability strategies include sustainable capacity development, mentoring and support, collaboration and networking, and program evaluation and adaptation. The results of this program showed an improvement in the knowledge and skills of teachers in writing scientific articles, as well as an increase in the number of articles submitted and received by Sinta-indexed journals. In conclusion, the program has improved the quality of writing scientific articles in SD N.2 Bangsri Purwantoro Wonogiri and has made a positive contribution to the development of IPTEK in the school environment. Thus, the program is expected to be a model for other schools in improving the quality of scientific articles and publications in indexed journals.
