Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan praktik pembelajaran commons di Kantor Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Yogyakarta. Konsep dari pembelajaran bersama mendorong perpustakaan menjadi lebih interaktif, ruang kolaboratif dan berpusat pada pengguna. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif penelitian dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kantor Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Yogyakarta telah menerapkan praktik learning commons dalam memberikan layanan dan fasilitas yang mendukung proses pembelajaran penggunanya. Namun, ada beberapa aspek yang masih perlu ditingkatkan seperti peningkatan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan lain dan mengembangkan program-program yang ada lebih berorientasi pada kebutuhan pengguna.

Abstract

Perpustakaan Kelas lA Pengadilan Negeri Padang merupakan salah satu perpustakaan yang menyediakan informasi hukum yang akurat dan terkini. Namun, perpustakaan mengalami masalah dalam koleksi bukunya. Di antaranya adalah kurangnya variasi dan jumlah buku yang relevan serta terbatasnya pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk diakses oleh masyarakat umum. Hal ini mengakibatkan berbagai kesulitan dalam menggunakan dan mengakses informasi tentang proses peradilan. Oleh karena itu, perlu disusun strategi peningkatan koleksi buku di perpustakaan Pengadilan Negeri Padang kelas lA dengan Sistem Informasi modern untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan perpustakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pilihan praktis dalam pengembangan perpustakaan agar kebutuhan informasi hukum terpenuhi secara optimal. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan perpustakaan Kelas lA Pengadilan Negeri Padang dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan informasi hukum. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif adalah proses penelitian yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang fenomena manusia atau sosial yang dapat dijelaskan dengan kata-kata. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggunakan studi literatur atau studi literatur yang melibatkan analisis jurnal, buku, tesis dan sebagainya. Selanjutnya, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengamatan.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran di SMKN 2 Padang Panjang adalah rendahnya minat baca dan akses yang terbatas terhadap bahan ajar berbasis digital, yang menghambat efektivitas pembelajaran siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan implementasi aplikasi kubuku, sebuah platform perpustakaan digital yang menyediakan akses bahan ajar dan literasi secara online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas aplikasi Kubuku dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan siswa melalui program Pelatihan Kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Metode penelitian ini mencakup lima tahapan utama, yaitu (1) identifikasi kebutuhan peserta melalui survei awal, (2) penyusunan materi pelatihan berbasis aplikasi Kubuku, (3) pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Kubuku, (4) pemberian pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal peserta, dan (5) pemberian post-test untuk mengevaluasi hasil belajar setelah pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan nilai post-test dibandingkan pre-test. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa aplikasi Kubuku efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis digital. Namun, terdapat kelemahan, seperti variasi peningkatan antar peserta, yang menunjukkan perlunya penyesuaian metode pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan inklusivitas. Kesimpulannya, penerapan aplikasi Kubuku memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan akses literasi digital dan kompetensi siswa, serta dapat dioptimalkan lebih lanjut untuk keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Penelitian tersebut mendeskripsikan kompetensi literasi seorang pembawa berita atau presenter di salah satu stasiun televisi lokal Padang Tv. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dengan cara wawancara kepada informan, untuk melihat pengalaman perilaku informan. Data primer dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, juga observasi. Data sekunder dalam penelitian ini berasal dari jurnal, buku, atau skripsi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan juga penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitiannya adalah : (1) Sebelum siaran, (2) Selama siaran, dan (3) Setelah siaran berlangsung.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the socio-cultural dimensions of literacy practice in children at the Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Posko Ilmu Kota Padang. This research was using a descriptive qualitative method. Snowball sampling was used as the technique for determining informants, which is determining informants from a few to a lot according to directions from previous informants for the needs of researchers in providing complete and accurate information. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation, and documentation methods. This study uses source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the family environment in literacy practice at the Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Posko Ilmu Kota Padang influences literacy practices carried out by children caused by the way parents educate their children, family economic conditions, and parents' attention, (2 ) the community environment in literacy practices at the Taman Bacaan Masyarakat Posko Ilmu Kota Padang influences literacy practices carried out by children caused by children's activities in the community, social friends, mass media, and forms of community life.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the information seeking behavior of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The research instrument is a questionnaire. The instrument test uses validity and reliability tests. Data were analyzed using the mean to calculate the average value of each statement and calculate the grand mean to calculate the average of each indicator and variable. The results showed: (1) very high category initiation, high category exploration, high category monitoring, high category categorizing, high category sifting, high category resource selection, high category collection, and very high ending category. (2) the teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin look for information using the internet rather than going to the library. (3) there are statements with low average scores on exploration, monitoring, categorizing, and collection.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of information on the TikTok Shop application as a means of online buying and selling among students of the Information and Library Science Department, Padang State University. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive methods. The population of this study was 655 students with a sample of 87 respondents. Sampling uses a purposive sampling technique, namely sampling based on certain characteristics. The results of this research show that the use of product information got an average score of 3.07 in the good category, the use of price information got an average score of 2.99 in the good category, the use of transaction information got an average score of 3.18 in the good category and User experience obtained an average score of 3.03 in the good category. Thus, the use of information on the TikTok Shop application in online buying and selling by students of the Department of Information Science and Libraries at Padang State University is said to be good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine deficiencies or gaps that occur in the Andalas University Library reference services, so that improvements can be made according to targets. This research uses the DEM (Discrepancy Evaluation Model) model or what is called the gap evaluation model which focuses on three stages, namely input, process and output. This approach uses quantitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews. This research data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to readers who used reference services. The population in this study were 264 users of Andalas University library reference services from January 2022 to August 2022. The samples in this study were taken using a non-probability sampling design with the Accidental Sampling technique so that a sample of 73 people was obtained. The results of research regarding the evaluation of reference services at the Andalas University Library are described as follows: First, the Librarian dimension obtained an average of 2.70. Second, the Collection dimension which obtained an average of 2.39. Third, the catalog dimension obtained an average of 2.85. Fourth, the Library Reference Service dimension which obtained an average of 2.47. Fifth, the Information Retrieval Service dimension which obtained an average of 2.87. Sixth, the Visitor Data dimension obtained an average of 2.94. Seventh, the Collection dimension obtained an average of 2.93. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the evaluation of reference services at the Andalas University Library obtained an overall average score of 2.73. This score is in the good interval class, namely 2.50-3.24, which means that reference services have been implemented well at the Andalas University Library.

Abstract

This research aims to describe read aloud strategies in increasing children's interest in reading, both at home and at school. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this research show three main findings: (1) the implementation of the read aloud strategy in increasing children's interest in reading involves the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation of the activity; (2) factors inhibiting read aloud practice in increasing children's interest in reading, both at school and at home, consisting of internal factors originating from teachers, parents and students themselves as well as external factors including the environment and children's learning media; and (3) the impact of implementing the read aloud strategy in increasing children's interest in reading, which not only succeeded in enriching their vocabulary but also aroused imagination and curiosity. Based on these three findings, it can be concluded that the application of read aloud effectively helps children understand story lines, language structures and new concepts more easily, thus making a positive contribution in increasing their interest in reading.

Abstract

This research aims to describe generation Z's information seeking patterns via social media among Kakao Webtoon fans. This research is qualitative research with a case study method. Determining informants in this research was carried out using a purposive sampling method. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation and documentation methods. Validation of data was carried out by triangulating sources and analyzing through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that in the initiation stage, generation Z feels the need for information due to encouragement or certain moments. In the selection stage, generation Z chooses social media and accounts that are considered relevant. Generation Z's exploration stage formulates the information they will seek and suits their needs, such as specific and interesting information. This information can be seen from the caption, official account, as well as seeing other people's responses to the post. In the collection stage, generation Z stores the information obtained using the bookmark, like, save and share links to save. The information that has been obtained is also shared via send DM, retweet, quote tweet, story and share link, which is found on social media. The presentation stage uses information for one's own benefit which is used for mutual discussion between fellow fans.
