Abstract

This research aims to describe the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation Program at the Archives and Library Office of Padang Pariaman Regency based on connectivity, content, and human aspects. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. There are 2 informants in this study consisting of 1 first expert librarian and 1 young expert librarian. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques were carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the Social Inclusion-Based Library Transformation Program is based on three aspects, namely. (1) Connectivity aspect: infrastructure facilities for people with disabilities; efforts to reach out to users have not been carried out effectively; and the OPAC library material search system that does not function properly. (2) Content Aspect, there is no collection for people with disabilities; and library socialization to the community has not been carried out thoroughly. (3) Human Aspect: the community is less responsive; budget limitations; and the partnership network with various parties is not yet widespread. The efforts made by the Office of Archives and Libraries of Padang Pariaman Regency in overcoming obstacles are to establish partnerships with village library managers.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the Twenty Days with Your Book   program works and to describe its benefits in increasing the reading ability of members at UKM PPIPM UNP. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Interviews, observation and documentation were research instruments used to collect data involving seven informants consisting of the person in charge of the program and participants who took part in the Twenty Days with Your Book   program. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Twenty Days with Your Book   program has been carried out in accordance with planning starting from the program concept which has been designed and implemented well, the program targets are right on target, the program implementation indicators have been achieved because they exceed 60% of their targets, the realization procedures have been carried out well. , the selection of reading materials is appropriate but needs improvement, and the evaluation process is carried out well. The benefits they felt based on changes in behavior after participating in the program showed positive changes that were visible in the way they set goals for reading, the process of selecting reading materials, increased reading comprehension, and more efficient use of time. Then the benefits they felt related to their reading ability showed a visible development in the way they drew conclusions after reading, the way they found the main points of the paragraphs and the participants' increased understanding of the reading.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how e-libraries benefit from digital literacy. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi with a sample of 93 respondents. The sampling technique in this research used random sampling technique. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire as the main data. Apart from that, data collection techniques are carried out through observation and documentation. To find out the correlation value between variable X and variable Y, the Product Moment correlation formula from Karl Pearson is used with the help of the SPSS application program. The results of this research show firstly, students of SMAN 1 Bukittnggi use E-library to search for reference materials. Second, students of SMAN 1 Bukittnggi understand how to use the E-library by utilizing the features provided by the E-library. Third, students of SMAN 1 Bukittnggi utilize the features provided by the E-library to search for information. Fourth, all types of information available on the E-library can be accessed freely by students of SMAN 1 Bukittnggi. The correlation test uses the Pearson formula with the help of the SPSS version 23 application program, which produces a correlation coefficient of 0.323. So it can be concluded that the correlation value of digital literacy skills with students' use of e-libraries is in the medium category. Hypothesis testing results show Fcount > Ftable, which means the alternative hypothesis Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected. So from this analysis it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between digital literacy skills (variable X) and the use of e-libraries (variable Y) by students at SMA Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. Based on testing the coefficient of determination through a simple linear regression test, it has a value of 10.5%, this shows that the influence of digital literacy skills on e-library use is 10.5% and the remaining 89.5% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe sensors in the book ecosystem in Padang City. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The technique for determining informants is purposive sampling, namely a method of identifying informants with certain considerations. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. This research uses data dependability. The results of this research show that (1) forms of censorship practices in Padang City. In this research it was found that there were 3 forms of censorship practices carried out, namely; Costitutive censorship, regulative censorship, independent censorship. (2) the influence of censorship in the book ecosystem in the city of Padang. In this research, it was found that writers, illustrators, publishers and bookstores believe that the practice of censorship (censorship) can reduce the intelligence of the people of a nation because they are always surrounded by fear in producing books.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran di SMKN 2 Padang Panjang adalah rendahnya minat baca dan akses yang terbatas terhadap bahan ajar berbasis digital, yang menghambat efektivitas pembelajaran siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan implementasi aplikasi kubuku, sebuah platform perpustakaan digital yang menyediakan akses bahan ajar dan literasi secara online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas aplikasi Kubuku dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan siswa melalui program Pelatihan Kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Metode penelitian ini mencakup lima tahapan utama, yaitu (1) identifikasi kebutuhan peserta melalui survei awal, (2) penyusunan materi pelatihan berbasis aplikasi Kubuku, (3) pelaksanaan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Kubuku, (4) pemberian pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal peserta, dan (5) pemberian post-test untuk mengevaluasi hasil belajar setelah pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta, yang ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan nilai post-test dibandingkan pre-test. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa aplikasi Kubuku efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis digital. Namun, terdapat kelemahan, seperti variasi peningkatan antar peserta, yang menunjukkan perlunya penyesuaian metode pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan inklusivitas. Kesimpulannya, penerapan aplikasi Kubuku memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan akses literasi digital dan kompetensi siswa, serta dapat dioptimalkan lebih lanjut untuk keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan literasi informasi dengan gaya hidup sehat mahasiswa Perpustakaan dan Ilmu Informasi Universitas Negeri Padang. Literasi informasi diukur berdasarkan kerangka The Six Frames for Information Literacy Education, sementara gaya hidup sehat dianalisis menggunakan instrumen Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP) II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan objek kajian mahasiswa Perpustakaan dan Ilmu Informasi Universitas Negeri Padang angkatan 2021, 2022, dan 2023 yang telah mengambil mata kuliah literasi informasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert 4-poin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat literasi informasi mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, demikian pula dengan gaya hidup sehat yang juga berada pada kategori sedang. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kedua variabel dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,597 (p < 0,001) pada taraf signifikansi 0,01 (2-tailed). Nilai R-square (R²) sebesar 0,356 mengindikasikan bahwa sekitar 35,6% variasi dalam gaya hidup sehat dapat dijelaskan oleh literasi informasi, sementara 64,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi informasi dapat menjadi salah satu strategi dalam mendorong gaya hidup sehat di kalangan mahasiswa, serta merekomendasikan pengintegrasian literasi informasi kesehatan dalam kurikulum pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui kualitas layanan sirkulasi mandiri di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatra Barat. Menggunakan teori wijaya 2011 dengan metode Servqual dirancang untuk mengukur kualitas layanan berdasarkan perbandingan antara ekspektasi pemustaka dan realitas pengalaman layanan yang mereka terima. Dengan menggunakan lima indikator. Indikator ini mencakup bukti fisik (tangible) dapat digunakan untuk menilai kondisi fisik kotak pengembalian dan fasilitas lainnya, keandalan (reliability) dan daya tanggap (responsiveness) dapat membantu mengevaluasi kecepatan dan ketepatan proses pengembalian buku, dimensi jaminan (assurance) memberikan gambaran tentang jaminan keamanan koleksi yang dikembalikan, dimensi kepedulian (emphaty) kemampuan untuk memahami kebutuhan dan harapan pemustaka serta memberikan perhatian yang sesuai terhadap pencalaman mereka. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Varibel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitas layanan. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah  199 orang. Sampel berjumlah 115 orang responden pemustaka di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang menggunakan layanan sirkulasi mandiri. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner berupa google form. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian , diketahui bahwa bukti fisik (tangibles) telah memenuhi kebutuhan mereka memiliki skor rata-rata yang tinggi, yaitu 3,71. Keandalan (reliability) memiliki skor rata-rata yang tinggi yaitu, 3,91. Daya tanggap (responsivenenes) memiliki skor rata-rata yang baik, yaitu 3,77. Jaminan (assurance) memiliki skor rata-rata yang baik, yaitu 3,79. Kepedulian (empathy) berada pada kategori baik dengan perolehan skor rata-rata 3,75.

Abstract

The writing of this article is motivated by the absence of a collection on traditional musical instruments in the library of SD Negeri 33 Rawang Barat, Padang City. This project aims to describe: (1) the process of creating an information repackaging of various Minangkabau traditional musical instruments as a library collection for SD Negeri 33 Rawang Barat; and (2) the trial results of the information repackaging of various Minangkabau traditional musical instruments as a library collection for SD Negeri 33 Rawang Barat. This final project was carried out using a descriptive method, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and literature study. Based on the completion of this final project, the following results were obtained. First, the creation of the information repackaging can be carried out in six stages: (1) determining the knowledge or specific topic based on the target users; (2) identifying users’ needs through interviews, questionnaires, or observation; (3) selecting a packaging format that suits the users’ needs and interests; and (4) determining the channel for information dissemination. Second, the trial of the information repackaging product as a school library collection was conducted using trial questionnaires divided into two parts: (1) the information aspect trial questionnaire obtained a score of 100% with an “Excellent” rating (A); and (2) the physical aspect trial questionnaire obtained a score of 95.83% with an “Excellent” rating (A). Overall, the final result shows that the appearance of the information repackaging about various Minangkabau traditional musical instruments in the library of SD Negeri 33 Rawang Barat, Padang has been successfully implemented with excellent results.

Abstract

This research aims to design a Thematic Literacy Program as a strategy to introduce parliamentary concepts to young children at the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Library, addressing the challenges of incidental, unstructured, and non-parliament-specific literacy visit materials. The program seeks to enhance basic literacy while systematically and interactively introducing parliamentary concepts. The Backward Design method was employed, involving: (1) identifying learning outcomes, (2) determining assessment evidence, and (3) designing interactive activities such as storytelling and role-playing. Additionally, the Design Thinking approach was used to develop an educational game, Gigih si Garuda: Adventure in the World of Parliament, through empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. Results from a limited trial on May 7, 2025, and community testing showed positive responses to the game’s design and mechanics, proving its effectiveness as a national education tool, reinforcing the library’s role as a democratic knowledge hub.

Abstract

Penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyusunan panduan program bercerita guna menumbuhkan kecintaan laut pada anak di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, yaitu mendeskripsikan suatu objek terkait tempat dan kondisi. Metode pengembangan produk yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang terdiri atas 5 tahapan yaitu: Analisis ( Analysis ), Desain ( Design ), Pengembangan ( Development ), Implementasi ( Implementasi ), dan Evaluasi ( Evaluate ). Namun tahapan yang digunakan hanya sampai pada tahapan implementasi karena tahapan evaluasi berada di luar tanggung jawab penulis. Berdasarkan penulisan tugas akhir yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan tahapan pembuatan program storytelling untuk menumbuhkan kecintaan pada laut di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan bagian menjadi empat tahapan menyesuaikan metode ADDIE yang digunakan. Tahapan pertama, analisis dengan mengidentifikasi penyebab, penentuan tema, dan pra-perencanaan program storytelling agar tujuan dapat tercapai sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Tahapan kedua, desain produk dengan menentukan media yang digunakan serta penjabaran tahapan pembuatan produk Program Storytelling untuk Menumbuhkan Kecintaan pada Laut di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Adapun tahapan pembuatan produk yaitu (1) pengumpulan bahan; (2) mendesain buku Program Storytelling untuk Menumbuhkan Kecintaan Laut di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Tahapan ketiga, pengembangan produk dengan melibatkan pendapat validator. Validasi dinilai dari dua aspek yaitu aspek informasi produk dan aspek desain produk. Setelah dilakukan penyempurnaan melalui pendapat validator, produk dinyatakan sangat layak untuk digunakan di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Tahapan Keempat, presentasi dan pengimplementasian produk di Perpustakaan Archivelago Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan.
