Abstract

The agricultural sector in Indonesia includes various subsectors, one of which is medicinal plants. Sukoharjo Regency is one of the areas in Central Java Province that has high potential for cultivating medicinal plants, one of which is lempuyang. Lempuyang is used by some farmers and the community by selling it directly to consumers or processing it into processed products. Lempuyang cultivation has quite promising value, however obstacles in farming are also experienced by lempuyang farmers in Sukoharjo Regency, namely the relatively low income of farmers. This research aims to determine the marketing channels for lempuyang commodities in Sukoharjo Regency. This research uses descriptive analysis methods. Sampling of farmers used a probability sampling system and sample determination was carried out using the proportional sampling method using Lemeshow calculations with the results of 96 respondents. Sampling of producers, traders and consumers uses a purposive method with certain criteria. Based on research that has been carried out, it can be seen that there are four marketing channels for lempuyang in Sukoharjo Regency, namely channels I: Farmers-Traders-Consumers, channels II: Farmers-Collectors¬-Traders-Consumers, channels III: Farmers-Collectors¬-Semi-finished materials industry- Traders-Consumers, and channels IV: Farmers-Collectors¬-Fixed materials industry-Traders-Consumers. It is hoped that this research will enable farmers to achieve marketing efficiency and find out which channels provide the highest profits.

Abstract

The diversification of the Kampung Lele business through catfish chips products aims to increase the income of farmers and absorb the relatively large fresh catfish sizes, namely 1 kg containing 3, 4, 5 that are not sold. In reality, catfish chips products face obstacles in marketing because there is no team that connects the sale of catfish chips products outside Java and people do not buy catfish chips every day, so it has not been able to increase the income of catfish farmers in Kampung Lele Boyolali. The purpose of this study is to determine the market potential of catfish chips in Kampung Lele Boyolali. The analytical methods used were Return on Investment (ROI) and marketing margin analysis. The ROI analysis showed an efficiency of 79%, and a marketing margin of Rp 12,000 per three catfish chip variants. Therefore, catfish chip production in Kampung Lele Boyolali has the potential to be further developed with a market development strategy that accommodates and is appropriate for the future.

Abstract

A healthy vegetable cultivation system using hydroponic techniques is a solution to the challenges of urban farmers, as an innovation and increase in the efficiency of the agricultural industry to meet global challenges. Vale Farm Hydroponics is an agricultural business on urban land or urban farming through a hydroponic farming system that carries the farm to table business concept, where it is possible for consumers to get a variety of good quality hydroponic vegetables directly from farmers and producers. This study uses a qualitative analysis method. Research data was obtained through interviews with 30 ValeFarm Hydroponic consumers. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire containing questions about consumer behavior and demand for hydroponic vegetables. The results of the research show that consumer behavior is divided into four stages, namely the introduction stage, the evaluation stage is influenced by various factors, such as emotional factors, rational factors, and environmental factors and the post-purchase stage. The factors that affect demand are prices of other goods, consumer income and consumer predictions about the future. The research results showed that the demand for hydroponic vegetables at Vale Farm Hydroponics was 381 kg/month.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting cow's milk productivity in Boyolali District, which is known as the largest milk producer in Central Java. Despite high production levels, milk productivity per cow in this area is still low, reaching an average of 6 liters per day. Factors analyzed include cow breed, forage feed cost, concentrate feed cost, and frequency of vitamin administration. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression. The results showed that forage feed cost and concentrate feed cost had a significant influence on milk productivity with a significance value, namely the cost of forage feed is 0.003 smaller than 0.005 and the cost of concentrate feed has a significance value of 0.007 smaller than 0.05and milk productivity was influenced by 21% by the variables studied, while 79% was influenced by other factors not explained in this study. This study is expected to provide insight for farmers and other stakeholders to improve milk productivity through better feed management and utilization of more economical feed alternatives.

Abstract

Wonogiri Regency, located in Central Java Province, is the main center of ginger production in Indonesia with total production reaching 6,851,216 kg in 2019. Ginger, which consists of three main types: elephant ginger, emprit ginger, and red ginger, has high economic value as food ingredients, beverages, spices, and herbal medicines. This study aims to analyze the technical efficiency of ginger farming in Wonogiri Regency. The method used is technical efficiency analysis with the Technical Efficiency Level (TER) indicator, which shows that ginger farming in this area is not yet technically efficient. Factors affecting efficiency include seed quality, rhizome health, and farm environmental conditions. The results indicate the need for improvements in the use of production inputs to increase the efficiency and productivity of ginger farming, which in turn can increase farmers' income and support the sustainability of the ginger industry in Wonogiri Regency.
