Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the variables of Organizational Culture and Competence that can have an impact on Employee Performance through the Motivation of the Library and Archives Office of East Java Province. Researchers here apply quantitative research and descriptive methods as research methods, and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and questionnaires which are disseminated to respondents via the Google form. The population of this study uses the East Java Library and Archive Service Employees. The research sample used non-probability sampling from a purposive sampling approach of 54 employees. This study analyzes using PLS. The results of the study prove that Organizational Culture influences employee performance, Competence does not affect Employee Performance, Culture has an impact on Motivation, Competence has an impact on Motivation, Motivation has an impact on Employee Performance, Motivation can mediate Organizational Culture on Employee Performance, and Motivation cannot mediate Competency on Employee Performance at the Library and Archives Service of East Java Province.

Abstract

This study examines the role of student activities in supporting the development of children in orphanages. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involved in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, focusing on academic, emotional, and social aspects. Through brief visits, students conducted various activities such as education, ice-breaking, and the development of a mini-library. The findings show that student activities can enhance children's learning motivation, cognitive skills, and self-confidence. Additionally, these activities also strengthen empathy and social communication skills. Despite the significant positive impact, the limited duration of the visits poses a challenge in creating long-term changes. Therefore, this study recommends increasing the frequency of activities, developing long-distance mentoring programs, and collaborating with local educational institutions. These suggestions are expected to enhance the effectiveness of student programs in supporting the development of orphanage children and promoting social awareness among students.

Abstract

Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) merupakan gerakan sosial yang melibatkan berbagai elemen secara kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan membaca siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah melalui pojok baca di SDN 88 Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan guru, siswa, dan pihak sekolah yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan pojok baca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan GLS telah dilakukan oleh sekolah dan guru, namun masih terdapat berbagai kendala yang menghambat pelaksanaan optimal. Kendala utama terletak pada kurangnya koordinasi antara pihak sekolah dan guru serta minimnya persiapan yang dilakukan, yang menyebabkan implementasi pojok baca kurang efektif. Selain itu, evaluasi kegiatan juga belum maksimal karena belum ada mekanisme yang terstruktur untuk menilai dampak kegiatan terhadap peningkatan minat dan keterampilan membaca siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya perbaikan dalam koordinasi, perencanaan, dan pelaksanaan untuk memastikan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dapat berjalan secara efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study explores the use of online loans (pinjol) in West Kalimantan through a survey of 11 respondents. Most users are young women aged 20–25 (72.7%) with monthly incomes between IDR 1–3 million (54.5%). The main reasons for borrowing are for consumptive needs (54.5%) and emergencies (27.3%), with SPayLater being the most used platform (81.8%). Reported negative impacts include debt burdens (36.4%), psychological stress (54.5%), and strained social relationships (36.4%). Although 63.6% claim to read the terms and conditions, risk understanding remains low. Furthermore, 63.6% of respondents would not recommend using online loans except in urgent situations. From the perspective of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, online lending (pinjol) fails to preserve wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl), life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), intellect (ḥifẓ al-‘aql), lineage (ḥifẓ al-nasl), and even religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), as it involves elements of riba and exploitative practices. These findings highlight the need for stronger regulations, improved financial literacy, and tighter oversight of illegal lending services. However, these findings remain descriptive in nature and cannot be generalized due to the very limited number of respondents.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam sistem pendidikan global, termasuk dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Sistem pembelajaran daring (online) memberikan fleksibilitas dalam proses belajar, namun juga menuntut strategi yang tepat agar pembelajar pemula dapat memahami materi secara efektif. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pembelajaran bahasa Arab daring yang sesuai bagi pemula. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran efektif mencakup perencanaan materi yang sesuai tingkat kemampuan, penggunaan media digital interaktif, penerapan pendekatan komunikatif, serta sistem evaluasi yang relevan dengan konteks digital. Strategi ini penting untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pemula dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara online.

Abstract

nt This study, entitled “Kalām Amr: The Literal and Figurative Meanings”, investigates the linguistic and rhetorical dimensions of Kalām Amr—imperative speech in Arabic—as discussed in the field of ‘Ilm al-Balāghah. The issue is significant because the Qur’an, as the pinnacle of Arabic eloquence, employs Kalām Amr not only to express commands but also to convey deeper meanings such as advice, threat, or supplication. Previous research has tended to focus on grammatical or syntactical elements, leaving a conceptual gap in exploring semantic variations and contextual interpretation between ḥaqīqī (literal) and majāzīy (figurative) meanings. This study aims to fill that gap by analyzing the contextual shifts in meaning and communicative purposes behind imperative forms in Qur’anic discourse Using a qualitative-descriptive and library-based method, this study examines classical and contemporary Arabic rhetorical works, including key texts such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical tafsir. The data was collected through a documentation study, where various written sources, including books, journal articles, and religious texts, were gathered and reviewed. Data analysis was performed using thematic and comparative approaches, focusing on the shifts in meaning and communicative purposes behind imperative forms in Qur’anic discourse. To ensure the validity of the findings, textual indicators (qarā’in) were identified and cross-checked with multiple sources to account for potential variations in interpretation. This triangulation method helped to validate the interpretations and strengthen the study's conclusions.The findings reveal that Kalām Amr extends beyond literal instruction, encompassing diverse rhetorical functions shaped by social, theological, and communicative contexts. The study concludes that understanding the distinction between ḥaqīqī and majāzīy meanings enriches the interpretative depth of Qur’anic language and enhances appreciation of its aesthetic and spiritual eloquence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the value of Sipakainge in Bugis local wisdom as a strategy for marine tourism conservation in Parepare City through an Islamic economics approach. Sipakainge, which means mutual reminding of goodness and social responsibility, is a moral value that plays a crucial role in maintaining harmony between humans and the environment. The declining cleanliness and conservation in Parepare's marine tourism areas, such as Paputo Beach, Mattirotasi, and Lumpue, indicate the need for a management approach based on cultural and Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques involving coastal communities, tourism managers, and traditional leaders. The findings reveal that the internalization of the Sipakainge value can build collective community awareness in preserving the marine and coastal environment as an implementation of the maslahah (public benefit) principle in Islamic economics. Furthermore, collaboration between the government, community, and tourism businesses based on the Sipakainge value can create sustainable, religious, and socially equitable marine tourism management. Thus, the integration of local wisdom and Islamic economic values forms a strategic foundation for maintaining the sustainability of Parepare's marine tourism while enhancing the welfare of the coastal community.
