Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the use of Cooperative Script model in linear algebra teaching and learning at base of  vector space chapter which is viewed by students mathematical reasoning skill. The type of this research is experimental research. The design of experimental research is pre experimental research. Because of the aim of this study is to determine whether Cooperative Script model can effect in students mathematical reasoning skill or not, so this study uses one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study is all of Mathematics Educations’ students in UPY and the sample are class in A1 and A2. Sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. The instrument used questions in pretest and posttest test which are to know the scores of students’ mathematical reasoning skill at beginning and the end of teaching and learning process. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics analysis and inferential statistics analysis. Descriptive statistics analysis is used to know the mean, mode, and variance of scores. Inferential statistics analysis used normality test and t test. The results showed that the scores which obtaned after learn linear algebra using cooperative script model such as the highest score is 97.90, the lowest score is 48.33, the average score is 78.08, and the standard deviation 13.83. The result of normality test on pretest and posttest score with chi-square test showed that c2 htung < c2 table. This result showed that the all of data in pretest and postest scores are normally distributed with 95% confidence level. The result of t-test showed that H0 is rejected with 95% confidence level. Thus, it can be infered that there is a significant increase in students mathematical reasoning skills before and after learn with cooperative script model. 83% categorization of students’ mathematical reasoning skill at high and moderat category indicated that cooperative script model effective in terms of students mathematical reasoning skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar English Mathematics melalui e-learning terhadap pemahaman geometri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan desain Pre-test and Post-test Group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah English Mathematics pada tahun akademik 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari empat kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah salah satu kelasnya yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui tes pemahaman geometri yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah tindakan. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji t one sample. Banyak kemudahan yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan e-learning diantaranya bahan ajar dapat diunggah sebelum pembelajaran di kelas, diskusi dapat dilakukan tak terbatas waktu dan ruang dan kuis online dapat dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar English Mathematics materi Geometri melalui e-learning efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman geometri mahasiswa. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, English Mathematics, pemahaman geometri   ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effectivenes of learning material through e-learning in terms of student’s comprehension of geometry. This study is quasy experimental research with Pre-test and Post-test Group design. The population is all the Mathematics Education students who taked English Mathematics course in academic year 2016/2017. The sample consists of one class that is selected using random sampling. Data is collected by comprehension test of Geometry before and after treatment. Hypothesis test is anylized by t test one sample. There are some conveniences obtained using e-learning such as material learning can be uploaded before learning in the class, discussion can be done not limited by space and time, and online quiz can be done to know the student’s understanding. The result show that learning material of English Mathematics for Geometry theory through e-learning was effective in terms of student’s comprehension of Geometry. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperloh deskripsi pengaruh model penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi luas permukaan dan volume kubus. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang mengacu pada desain Intac-Group Comparison. Populasi  dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII SMP N 11 Yogyakarta yaitu kelas VIII terdiri dari empat kelas. Dalam penentuan pemilihan sampel ini, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling sehingga sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen (kelas yang diberikan perlakuan) sedangkan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol (kelas yang tidak diberikan perlakuan). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperloh deskripsi pengaruh model penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi luas permukaan dan volume kubus. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dan rancangan yang digunakan oleh peneliti mengacu pada desain penelian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta maka pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi luas permukaan dan volume balok, yaitu: (1) mengorientasikan siswa pada masalah, (2) mengorganisasikan siswa dalam belajar, (3) mem-bimbing penyelidikan individual maupun kelompok, (4) mempresentasikan hasil kegiatan dan (5) mengevaluasi keberhasilan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Belakangan ini banyak siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama terkait hasil belajar di sekolah kurang. Hal tersebut dikarenakan motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah, penggunaan model pembelajaran dalam proses belajar itu penting bagi siswa. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan model pembelajaran STAD terkait hasil belajar siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama serta usaha meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian yang diambil ialah penelitian kuantitatif yang berupa pre- experimental design dengan jenis One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VIII SMP N 3 Kasihan 2022/2023. Sebanyak 30 siswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Menurut Hasil analisis yang diperoleh hasil thitung sebesar 10,127 dan koefisien tersebut signifikan pada 5% dan dk = 28 sehingga didapat t tabel sebesar 2,048 maka thitung > t tabel, serta 30 siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah mengikuti tes (posttest) dengan nilai rata-rata 80,67 yang sebelumnya nilai rata-rata sebesar 78,63 (pretest). Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, diketahui model pembelajaran STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sehingga diharapkan dapat diterapkan saat proses kegiatan mengajar berlangsung.

Abstract

Pembinaan sekolah penggerak oleh pengawas sekolah adalah kewajiban yang harus dilakukan untuk dapat menjalankan progam sekolah penggerak dengan baik. Namun pengimplementasikan konsep kurikulum Merdeka terkadang terdapat permasalahan yang mengharuskan kepala sekolah untuk menyelesaikan dengan sumber daya sekolah yang dimilikinya. Hal ini tentunya memerlukan pembinaan dari pengawas sekolah sehingga diharapkan kehadiran pengawas sekolah tersebut merupakan Pembina yang mampu memberdayakan kepala sekolah untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuannya. Oleh karenanya, dilakukan pengabdian untuk mendampingi pengawas sekolah agar lebih meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam memberdayakan kepala sekolah melalui kegiatan coaching. Tahapan pengabdian dilakukan dalam tiga langkah yaitu, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan rencana tindak lanjut. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pengawas telah menunjukkan kemampuan dalam mendengarkan secara aktif, mengajukan pertanyaan yang berbobot, dan memberdayakan kepala sekolah. pun demikian pengalaman kepemimpinan seorang kepala sekolah Di samping itu, pengawas sekolah telah mampu melakukan coaching dengan berbagai metode yaitu alur TIRTA, kalibrasi, maupun refleksi.

Abstract

Didactic transposition is the process of transferring knowledge from scientific sources to experts, which is then used by teachers in the learning process in educational units. This study aims to describe the use of didactic transposition as a means of student learning and mathematics learning that facilitates students' statistical literacy. This type of research is qualitative research with the summative content analysis method. The data source used comes from literature studies indexed by Scopus, both journals and international conference proceedings. The data analysis technique uses four stages, namely: selecting, comparing, combining, and sorting until relevant meanings are found in knowledge related to didactic transposition and statistical literacy. The results of the study of the literature of relevant Scopus-indexed journals stated that the use of didactic transposition as a means of learning for students that facilitates their statistical literacy can increase enthusiasm in learning mathematics and have an impact on the ease of students understanding what is conveyed by the teacher.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of the flipped classroom model and creative mathematics activities and games on mathematics achievement. Two equivalent 4th-grade students from a public school in Kırıkkale, Turkey, were randomly selected to create experimental and control groups. The experimental group consisted of 25 students, while the control group consisted of 27 students. Before the application, a mathematics achievement test prepared by the curriculum was applied to both groups, while Mathematics game videos following the curriculum were ready for the experimental group. Then, application studies were carried out with the experimental group for 4 weeks. Meanwhile, no intervention was made in the control group, and their traditional teaching continued. At the end of 4 weeks, the mathematics achievement test was re-administered to both groups, and the results were compared. While the difference between the experimental group's pre- and posttest mean scores is 16,68, the difference between the control group's pre and posttest mean scores is 6,37. As a result, it was concluded that creative games and activities combined with the flipped classroom model increased mathematics achievement. The study recommended designing creative activities with the flipped classroom model to increase success in other courses, such as mathematics.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah seringkali dihadapkan pada tantangan signifikan, termasuk kejenuhan siswa dan kurangnya antusiasme belajar, yang dapat menghambat pencapaian hasil belajar optimal. Salah satu akar masalahnya adalah keterbatasan guru dalam mengintegrasikan pengetahuan sosial emosional (PSE) dan mengembangkan kompetensi sosial emosional (KSE) dalam praktik pembelajaran sehari-hari, yang esensial untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang suportif dan menarik. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini berfokus pada upaya memberdayakan guru melalui Kombel (Komunitas Belajar) Puspa Bangsa di SMA N 1 Pundong, dengan judul "Inspirasi Kreativitas Kombel Puspa Bangsa: Penguatan Pengetahuan Sosial Emosional (PSE) dan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE) dalam Pembelajaran bagi Guru SMA". Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali guru dengan pemahaman dan keterampilan PSE serta KSE, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas interaksi di kelas, mengurangi kejenuhan siswa, dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar yang positif. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi asesmen kebutuhan guru, lokakarya intensif, pendampingan implementasi, dan fasilitasi berbagi praktik terbaik di antara anggota Kombel. Luaran yang diharapkan mencakup peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam mengelola emosi dan membangun hubungan positif, serta terciptanya suasana pembelajaran yang lebih inklusif dan memotivasi.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming education rapidly. However, awareness of AI and its utilization varies significantly across professional fields and educational levels. This study investigated pre-service teachers' attitudes towards and use of AI in teaching and learning activities in Nigeria. A descriptive survey method was employed involving 96 pre-service teachers from a private college of education in Kwara State who were selected via simple random sampling. Data were collected using the Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Attitudes and Utilization of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching-Learning Activities Questionnaire (PSETAUAIQ), which demonstrated strong reliability (index = 0.77). The findings were insightful: Pre-service teachers consistently expressed positive attitudes towards integrating AI into their teaching, and the study revealed a high level of AI utilization among them. Crucially, analysis confirmed no significant difference in attitudes or AI utilization based on gender. Based on these results, it is strongly recommended that pre-service teachers receive comprehensive ethical training to ensure the responsible and effective use of AI tools in their future classrooms.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, there are many developments and reforms in the field of education. The demands of 21st-century skills encourage teachers to innovate in learning. This aims to provide the best service for students and also as an effort to optimize the potential possessed by students. For this reason, teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Garut tried to improve their knowledge and insights about innovative learning. This community service aims to provide training on how to design innovative learning for teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Garut. Implementing this community service activity uses lecture and practice methods using concrete and interactive learning media (ICT-based). The service team visiting SMP Negeri 6 Garut carried out the lecture method, which provided material on innovative learning and the use of technology in learning. This community service results in teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Garut understanding the concept of innovative learning and making innovations in learning.
