Abstract

Menarche is the first menstruation that usually occurs between the ages of 10 and 16 years, or in early adolescence in the middle of puberty, just before the reproductive period begins. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between knowledge about Menarch and the anxiety level of early teenage girls in the working area of the Pumpkin Beach Public Health Center. 2023. This research uses analytical descriptive research which aims to systematically and factually describe the facts and relationships between communicating variables by collecting data, processing, analyzing and interpreting data in statistical hypothesis testing. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire and analysis of the results of the chi-square statistical test concluded that p-value = 0.003 or <0.05, so a significant relationship was found between the level of knowledge. with the level of anxiety of teenagers in facing menarche in the work area of the Pumpkin Beach Community Health Center in 2023

Abstract

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a condition of excessive nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, which can lead to dehydration, weight loss, potassium deficiency (hypokalemia), and serious metabolic disorders. If left untreated, this condition can trigger complications such as ketosis, liver dysfunction, and even death. The exact cause is unknown, but several predisposing factors, such as multiple pregnancies, hydatidiform moles, psychological conditions (such as stress, fear of pregnancy), and a decreased immune system in pregnant women, are believed to play a role (Maryunani, 2018). Persistent nausea and vomiting cause the body to use carbohydrate and fat reserves for energy, which produces toxic metabolites. As a result, body tissues receive fewer nutrients and oxygen. Furthermore, potassium loss through vomiting and urine can contribute to hypokalemia and worsen vomiting. According to Maryunani (2019), this condition occurs more frequently in 60–80% of primiparous pregnant women and 40–60% of multiparous pregnant women during the first trimester. This study used an analytical method with a cross-sectional approach to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women towards the occurrence of hyperemesis gravidarum. The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge (p = 0.015) and attitudes of pregnant women (p = 0.006) towards the occurrence of hyperemesis gravidarum. It is hoped that health workers, especially in Community Health Centers, will be more active in providing education to pregnant women regarding the prevention of hyperemesis gravidarum. Pregnant women are also expected to regularly check their pregnancies and seek appropriate information to maintain their health during pregnancy.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2017 contraceptive use has increased in many parts of the world, especially in Asia and Latin America and is lowest in Sub-Saharan Africa. Globally, users of modern contraception have increased significantly from 35% in 1970 to 63% in 2017. The 2019 Indonesia Health Profile data shows that most active family planning participants choose injections and pills as contraceptives and are even very dominant (more than 80 %) compared to other methods; inject (63.7%), Pill (17.0%), Implant (7.4%), IUD/IUD (7.4%), Condom (1.2%), MOW (Women's Operative Method) (2 .7%), MOP (Male Operative Method) (0.5%). (RI Ministry of Health, 2020). The side effect of hormonal contraception is disruption of menstruation. The main side effects of DMPA (Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) contraception and implants are menstrual disorders in the form of amenorrhea, spotting, changes in cycles, frequency, length of menstruation and amount of blood loss. The side effects of a contraceptive method are a factor that needs to be considered in determining the decision to continue using the contraceptive method (Hartanto, 2013). The type of research used in this research is analytic with a cross sectional approach. Cross sectional is a research approach that emphasizes the time of measurement/observation of independent variable data and depends only once at a time. The research sampling technique is total sampling. This research will be conducted at the Pratama Vina Clinic, Medan Baru District, Medan City in 2023. The results of the chi-squere test d. There is a significant relationship between the type of hormonal contraception and menstrual disorders in women of childbearing age at the Pratama Vina Clinic, Medan Baru District, Medan City, in 2023 (p= 0.013) and there is a significant relationship between the length of use of hormonal contraception and menstrual disorders in women of childbearing age at the Pratama Vina Clinic, Medan Baru District, Medan City in 2023 (p=0.031).

Abstract

The still high population growth is one of the polemics that occurs in Indonesia, so that Indonesia is still called a developing country. Therefore, the government's effort to suppress population growth is by establishing the Family Planning Family Planning program. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of 3-month birth control injections on increasing body weight at the Family Planning Extension Center in Parpaudangan Village, North Labuhan Batu in 2023. This research is quantitative with a case control research design carried out at the Parpaudangan Family Planning Extension Center. The population in this study was 35 mothers who came to visit the family planning extension center. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. In this research, the instruments used were primary data and secondary data as well as bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test with a confidence level of 95%. In conclusion, the statistical test results show an OR (Odds Ratio) of 2.310 with calculated X2 (2.089) < X2 Table (3.841) or p (0.148) > α (0.050) and CI (0.872; 6.118). The results of this research show that 3-month contraceptive injections are not a significant factor as the main cause of weight gain, but acceptors of 3-month contraceptive injections are likely to experience weight gain 2 times greater than non-acceptors of 3-month contraceptives, at the Parpaudangan village family planning extension center in 2023 .
