Abstract

The Baturapa Village community uses mangroves to fulfill their various needs (fuel wood, house construction materials, color dyes and synthetic flower-making raw materials). This utilization must be carried out in a controlled manner to preserve the sustainability of the mangrove ecosystem. This study aims to determine the extent and the current structure of the mangrove community in Baturapa Village. The research was conducted in the mangrove area of Baturapa Village, Lolak District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi Province in March 2019.The method used was the line transect method to see the mangrove community structure including density, frequency, species dominance and Important Value Index (INP) and diversity index (H’). Mangrove area was calculated using Google earth pro and ArcGis 10.4 software. The outcomes of the calculation of the area of mangrove in the village of Baturapa are 37.4 hectares. The results of the identification of mangroves in the coastal area of Baturapa Village, Lolak District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, have 11 species, with 111 total individuals. Of the 3 line transects, the highest species density is Rhizophora stylosa, 800 trees / ha (line transect III) with relative density ( KR) 57.1%, while T\the highest frequency of species is Rhizophora stylosa with a value of 1.0 with a relative frequency (FR) of 50% (line transect III). The highest species dominance is Rhizophora mucronata with a value of 4.6 where relative dominance (DR) is 53.4% (line transect II). Furthermore, the highest species value index (INP) is Rhizophora stylosa with a value of 118.6 (line transect III). Line transect I has the highest diversity index (H;) with a value of 1.99. A value of 1.99 (H’) greater than 1 and smaller 3.3 means that productivity is sufficient, ecosystem conditions are quite balanced and ecological pressure is moderate.Keywords: Baturapa Village, mangrove area, density, frequency, dominance, index important value, mangrove diversity indexABSTRAKMasyarakat Desa Baturapa memanfaatan mangrove untuk memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan hidupnya (kayu bakar, bahan pembangunan rumah,pewarna jarin dan bahan baku pembuatan bunga sintetis). Pemanfaatan ini harus dilakukan secara terkendali untuk menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui luasan dan struktur komunitas mangrove saat ini di Desa Baturapa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan mangrove Desa Baturapa, Kecamatan Lolak, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara pada bulan maret 2019. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode line transect untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas mangrove meliputi kerapatan, frekuensi, domimasi spesies serta Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) dan Indeks keaneragaman (H’). Menghitung luas mangrove menggunakan sofware Google earth pro  dan ArcGis 10,4.  Hasil perhitungan luas mangrove  di desa Baturapa  37,4 Hektar. Hasil identifikasi mangrove di wilayah pesisir Desa Baturapa Kecamatan  Lolak Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow terdapat  11 spesies,  dengan total individu sebanyak 111.  Dari ke-3 line transect, kerapatan spesies tertinggi dimiliki Rhizophora stylosa, 800 pohon/ha (line transect III) dengan kerapatan relatif (KR) 57,1 %. Frekuensi spesies tertinggi adalah  Rhizophora stylosa  dengan nilai 1,0 dengan frekuensi relatif (FR) 50% (line transect III). Dominasi spesies tertinggi adalah Rhizophora mucronata dengan nilai 4,6 dimana dominasi relatif (DR) 53,4% (line transect II).  Selanjutnya Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) spesies paling tinggi yaitu Rhizophora stylosa dengan nilai 118,6 (line transect III). Line transect  I memiliki  indeks keanekaragaman (H’)  tertinggi dengan nilai 1,99.  Nilai 1,99 (H’) lebih besar 1 dan lebih kecil 3,3 ini berarti produktivitas cukup, kondisi ekosistem cukup seimbang dan tekanan ekologi sedang. Kata kunci : Desa Baturapa, luas mangrove, kerapatan, frekuensi, dominasi, Indeks                     nilai penting,Indeks keaneragaman mangrove

Abstract

Silage is prepared by adding the probiotic into the material of bones and flesh of waste from the market.  Silage is used as element substituted with fish meal as feed for tilapia with initial weight of 19.14 to 24.86 grams and a length of 3-5 cm.  There are three types of feed using silage replacing fish meal as much as 10% (treatment A), 20% (treatment B) and 30% (treatment C) and a control used commercial feed (treatment D).  The results obtained are feed in treatment D gives very significant results to the three other feed (A, B and C) in the case of weight, rate of growth and feed efficiency; but in a further test of Duncan, statistical results showed that feed C and D more efficient than feed A.Keywords: low cost artificial feed, silage, growth, tilapia ABSTRAKSilase dipersiapkan melalui penambahan probiotik ke dalam bahan tulang dan daging dari bahan-bahan yang tidak terpakai yang diambil dari pasar.  Silase ini digunakan sebagai elemen yang disubsitusikan dengan tepung ikan untuk diberikan sebagai pakan pada ikan nila dengan berat awal 19,14-24,86 gr dan panjang 3-5 cm.  Ada tiga jenis pakan dengan menggunakan silase menggantikan tepung ikan sebanyak 10 (perlakuan A), 20 (perlakuan B) dan 30% (perlakuan C) dan sebagai kontrol digunakan pakan komersial (perlakuan D). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pakan uji pada perlakuan D sangat memberikan hasil berbeda yang sangat nyata dengan ketiga pakan lainnya (A, B dan C) dalam hal pertumbuhan berat, laju pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pakan; namun pada uji lanjut Duncan, hasil statistik menunjukkan bahwa pakan C dan pakan D lebih efisien dibandingkan pakan A.Kata kunci: akuakultur, pakan buatan murah, silase, pertumbuhan, ikan nila

Abstract

The purposes of the morphometrics of seagrass Thalassia hemprichii study (based on samples taken from the coast of Bahoi Village, Likupang Barat Sub-district, North MInahasa District) were as follow: (1) to know the environmental conditions (temperature, salinity, pH, substrate) on the coastal area of Bahoi Village, (2) to describe the morphometrics of seagrass T. hemprichii,  and (3) to compare the morphometric of seagrass Thalassia hemprichii based on sampling stations. Data were collected using a survey method, to sample the seagrass T. hemprichii in three locations. As many as 30 individuals at each study location, were then measured using a digital caliper. The results of the measurement analyzed statistically show that the value was not significantly different. There is no significant difference in the size of the seagrass growth due to environmental conditions or environmental parameters that exist at these 3 stations and supposedly are still within the safe limits for seagrass growth. This evidence was gained based on the results of the ANOVA test (one way ANOVA) which was not significantly different.Keyword : Morphometrics; Thalassia hemprichii; Seagrass; Bahoi Village; Coast ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian ini adalah mengetahui morfometrik Lamun Thalassia hemprichii berdasarkan sampel yang diambil di Pesisir Pantai Desa Bahoi Kecamatan Likupang Barat. yaitu : (1) Mengetahui kondisi lingkungan perairan lamun (suhu, salinitas, pH, substrat) di Pesisir Pantai Desa Bahoi, (2) Mendeskripsikan morfometrik dari lamun Thalassia hemprichii, (3) Membandingkan morfometrik lamun Thalassia hemprichii berdasarkan stasiun pengambilan sampel. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakaan metode survei jelajah, dengan menggunakan Global Positioning System (GPS) dan dilanjutkan dengan pengambilan sampel Lamun Thalassia hemprichii sebanyak 30 individu pada setiap lokasi penelitian,   kemudian  diukur dengan menggunakan caliper digital. Hasil yang analisis diperoleh berdasarkan nilai statistik Thalassia hemprichii di Pesisr Pantai Desa Bahoi adalah tidak berbeda nyata. Tidak adanya perbedaan yang nyata dari ukuran pertumbuhan  lamun tersebut  disebabkan oleh kondisi lingkungan atau parameter lingkungan yang ada  pada ke 3 stasiun ini masih dalam batas yang aman bagi pertumbuhan Lamun. Abstract

This study aims to know the community structure of mangrove and the environmental condition in South Tabulo coast. Mean temperature at station 1, 2, and 3 was 310C, and water salinity varied between 28-30 ‰. Water pH was averagely 7 in all stations. Substrate measurements were visually done and through touches. Stations 1 and 2 had sandy muddy substrates, while station 3 was muddy. Mangroves of tree criterion were found 122 individuals of 7 species, Avicennia lanata, A. marina, Rhizophora apiculata, R. mucronata, Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, and Ceriops tagal. Field observations showed that the highest species density was recorded in R. mucronata. The highest species frequency was found in S. alba, R. apiculata, and R. mucronata, while the highest species cover and importance value index were recorded in S. alba and R. apiculata dan R. mucronata. Based on diversity index, it was found that only 7 species were found in the study sites and it belonged to good condition. It indicates that the study sites are still in good ecological condition.Abstrak Keywords : Mangrove, community, Boalemo, diversity, importance value. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas mangrove serta kondisi lingkungan di Pantai Tabulo Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di Pantai Tabulo Selatan untuk pengukuran suhu pada stasiun 1, 2, dan 3 diperoleh hasil rata-rata 310C, dengan salinitas bervariasi antara 28-30 ‰. Pengukuran pH air pada semua stasiun pengamatan diperoleh hasil rata-rata 7. Pengamatan substrat dilakukan secara visual dengan cara meraba tekstur substrat pada setiap stasiun, dan substrat yang terdapat di lokasi penelitian pada stasiun 1 dan 2 adalah lumpur berpasir, pada stasiun 3 berlumpur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada semua stasiun dengan kriteria pohon telah ditemukan 122 individu dari 7 spesies yang ditemukan yaitu Avicennia lanata, Avicennia marina, Rhizophora apiculata, R. mucronata, Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza dan Ceriops tagal. Berdasarkan pengamatana lapangan, kerapatan spesies tertinggi dimiliki oleh spesies Rhizophora mucronata, frekuensi spesies tertinggi dimiliki spesies S. alba, R. apiculata dan Rhizophora mucronata, penutupan spesies dan indeks nilai penting didapati spesies Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora apiculata dan R. mucronata.. Berdasarkan indeks keanekaragaman dapat dilihat bahwa hanya ada 7 spesies yang didapatkan pada lokasi penelitian dan termasuk dalam kriteria keanekaragaman baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa di lokasi penelitian masih dalam kondisi ekologis yang cukup baik.Kata kunci : Mangrove, komunitas, Boalemo, keanekaragaman, nilai penting.

KONDISI EKOLOGI DAN PEMANFAATAN SUMBERDAYA MANGROVE DI DESA TAROHAN SELATAN KECAMATAN BEO SELATAN KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN TALAUD1 Rivay Ontorael2, Adnan S Wantasen3, Ari B Rondonuwu3 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the ecological condition of mangrove forests, and the use/utilization of mangrove forests. The method used is method of survey and interview cruising. Ecological data retrieval is done by making transects kuadrant shaped by the size of 25x25 cm by 3 pieces lengthwise parallel to the coastline of South Tarohan Village. Respondents to the data carried by a purposive sampling interview respondents who have been determined. The results showed that the highest density is owned by Sonneratia alba and the highest frequency is owned by species Sonneratia Alba its index value is also important because it is owned by Sonneratia Alba. Sonneratia Alba is a type of mangrove, Sonneratia which have a dominant role in the mangrove forest ecosystem. Environmental conditions of coastal waters of South Tarohan village has a good environment and support the survival of mangrove forests and biota in the vicinity. South Tarohan Villagers were already aware of and understand the benefits of mangrove forests, it can not guarantee the preservation of mangrove forests because most people still use mangrove wood for household needs for fuel wood.   Keywords : Mangrove, ecological   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi ekologi hutan mangrove, serta penggunaan/pemanfaatan hutan mangrove. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survey jelajah dan wawancara. Pengambilan data ekologi dilakukan dengan membuat transek berbentuk kuadrant dengan ukuran 25x25 m sebanyak 3 buah  memenjang sejajar garis pantai Desa Tarohan Selatan. Untuk data responden dilakukan dengan wawancara secara purposive sampling yaitu responden yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kerapatan jenis tertinggi di miliki oleh Sonneratia alba dan Frekuensi Jenis tertinggi di miliki oleh Sonneratia alba beserta Indeks Nilai Penting juga di miliki oleh Sonneratia alba karena Sonneratia alba merupakan jenis mangrove yang memiliki peranan dominan dalam ekosisten hutan mangrove. Kondisi lingkungan perairan pesisir Desa Tarohan Selatan memiliki lingkungan yang baik dan mendukung kelangsungan hidup dari hutan mangrove dan biota yang ada di sekitarnya. Masyarakat Desa Tarohan Selatan ternyata sudah mengetahui dan memahami manfaat hutan mangrove, hal ini tidak dapat menjamin kelestarian hutan mangrove karena masih sebagian besar masyarakat menggunakan kayu bakau sebagai kebutuhan rumah tangga untuk kayubakar kayu bakar. Abstract

Mangrove forest vegetation contained in Basaan The village has an important role, both ecologically and economically for the community. The mangrove ecosystem's ability to maintain its ecological function depends on factors - environmental contributing factors, namely the quality of the environment and substrate conditions. The purpose of the study was to measure the quality of environmental factors and substrate waters around mangrove and describe the environmental capacity of water at mangrove ecosystem. The method of research by sampling at two locations: station A and station B by taking water samples in which the chemical and physical parameters of the test carried out in the Laboratory of Water archipelago and substrate samples which were tested in Laborarotium Soil Fertility, Faculty of Agriculture Unsrat Manado. The test results showed that the water temperature is 310C and TSS levels <1 (station A) and 44 (station B), pH 7.3; salinity 32; NH3 0.26 (A), 0.05 (B); PO4 0.122 (A ), 0.013 (B); H2S < 0.02; DO 10.10 (A), 8.95 (B). For the test results is the basic substrate pH H2O 7.6 (station A) and 7.5 (station B) neutral category; pH KCl 5.1 (A) and 5.4 (B) neutral category, N 0.44 (A ), 0.34 (B) medium category; P2O5 1.98 (A) and 15.35 (B) medium category; organic C-5.83 (A) and 3.98 (B) high category; K2O 2, 27 (A) and 23.48 (B) medium category. Conditions coastal waters village Basaan I still quite good because of the support and the dukungya still need attention orthoposphat parameter whose value is higher than the standard.   Keywords : water quality, substrate base, carrying capacity

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution and abundance of reef fish families chaetodontidae in coral reef waters of Para Island Sub District Tatoareng. This study was conducted at 4 stations. Data collected was done using visual census on the 50-meter transect line at 5 meters depth. In addition to revealing the number of species and abundance of individuals chaetodontidae, data analysis aimed to determine number of species, individual abundance, and the community index. Based on the identification, obtained 27 species from 3 genera and 217 number of individuals.  The highest number of species found at station Para 1.  7 species are always found in all observation stations, Chaetodon kleinii, C. punctatofasciatus, C. lunulatus, C. trifascialis, C. vagabundus, Heniochus varius, H. chrysostomus. The species with the largest number of individuals that is Chaetodon kleinii (45 individuals). Chaetodontidae fish species diversity index ranged between 2.207-2.866. Dominance Index are categorized low in the range of 0.078-0.122.  Similarity index are categorized high in the range of 0.922-0.971. Keywords : coral fishes, chaetodontidae, coral reef, Para Island

Abstract

In fact the use or the use of resources and territory or coastal area showed a significant rate. Yet on the other hand the availability of space and resources are in a dilemma because the rate is followed by the use of more that do not consider the sustainability of the resource. It is crucial to increase with increasing population. One of the consequences or impact most noticeably is the damage to the environment, both natural environment in general and specifically the environment of coastal areas. From various studies and concern, for while the environmental damage that occurs in the context of use (exploitation) of natural resources because of: 1) Lack of or perhaps the lack of an integrated approach to the planning and management of resources that are in the coastal region; 2) Lack of adequate information and data to be used as a reference in the management; 3) Lack of community involvement in the management of local government may hoarse coastal power. Management of small -scale coastal resources is an activity in the village / urban neighborhoods implemented as an effort of institutional capacity building and community, improving the quality of the environment, as well as socio-economic improvement of the quality of society by using technology appropriate management of coastal areas for the community. These activities are grouped into 3 categories: 1. Capacity building society in the management of coastal and marine resources through training and mentoring, 2. Environmental improvement activities that influence the activities in improving welfare, 3. The development of alternative employment Keywords : Coastal resources , utilization strategy and management activities ABSTRAK Pada kenyataannya pemanfaatan atau penggunaan sumberdaya dan wilayah atau ruang pesisir menunjukkan laju yang signifikan. Padahal di sisi lain ketersediaan ruang dan sumber daya tersebut berada dalam laju yang dilematis karena diikuti toleh pemanfaatan lebih yang tidak mempertimbangkan keberlanjutan dan kelestarian sumber tersebut. Hal ini bertambah krusial dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk. Salah satu akibat atau dampak yang paling terasa adalah kerusakan lingkungan, baik lingkungan alam secara umum maupun lingkungan wilayah pesisir secara khusus. Dari berbagai kajian dan kepedulian, untuk sementara kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi dalam konteks pemanfaatan (eksploitasi) sumber daya alam oleh karena : 1)Kurangnya atau mungkin tidak adanya suatu pendekatan yang terpadu dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaan sumber daya yang berada dalam kawasan pesisir; 2)Kurangnya informasi dan data yang layak untuk dijadikan acuan dalam pengelolaan; 3)Kurangnya keterlibatan masyarakat dan mungkin pemerintah daerah dalam pengelolaan sember daya pesisir. Untuk berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan tersebut di atas, maka perlu diterapkan strategi pemanfaatan dalam batas-batas ramah lingkungan, melindungi dan mengkonservasi wilayah tertentu, merehabilitasi wilayah yang rusak, serta  meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat pesisir untuk melestarikan ekosistem pesisir,  yang terintegrasi dalam strategi pengelolaan wilayah pesisir terpadu. Pengelolaan sumberdaya wilayah pesisir skala kecil adalah suatu kegiatan pada tingkat desa/kelurahan yang dilaksanakan sebagai upaya dari kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan dan masyarakat, peningkatan kualitas lingkungan, serta peningkatan kualitas sosial ekonomi masyarakat dengan menggunakan teknologi pengelolaan wilayah pesisir tepat guna bagi masyarakat.  Kegiatan ini dikelompokkan menjadi 3 kategori yaitu: 1.Kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sumberdaya pesisir dan laut melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan, 2.Kegiatan perbaikan lingkungan yang mempengaruhi kegiatan dalam peningkatan kesejahteraan, 3.Kegiatan pengembangan mata pencaharian alternatif.   Kata kunci : Sumberdaya pesisir, strategi pemanfaatan dan kegiatan pengelolaan 1Staf pengajar Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Sam Ratulangi

Abstract

This study was carried out in mangrove forest of Bahoi, Likupang district, North Minahasa regency. It was aimed at knowing the ecological condition of the mangrove forest. Study stations were selected by determining representatives from each zonation and site condition. Results showed that mangrove species in Bahoi was dominated by Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, B. cylindrical, and Sonneratia alba, with the highest density in station 1 shown by Rhizophora apiculata, 0.65 ind/m2, then station 2 and 3 by  R. Mucronata, 0.93 and 0,63 ind/m2, respectively.  The highest total density was recorded in station 2, 1.85 ind/40 m2, then station 1, 1.78 ind/40 m2, and station 3, 1.35 ind/40 m2, respectively. As conclusion, the ecological condition of mangrove ecosystem in Bahoi was categorized as good, and aware to be beneficial for the local community in ecological function as abrasion prevention and living environment of the aquatic biota and in economic function from ecotourism aspect, so that it was right to be managed in the form of ecotourism management. Keywords : Mangrove,  Profile, Bahoi Village ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kawasan mangrove desa Bahoi, Kecamatan Likupang, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara.  Tujuan penelitian, untuk mengetahui kondisi ekologis ekosistem mangrove. Penentuan lokasi stasiun pengamatan dilakukan dengan menentukan perwakilan dari setiap zonasi dan kondisi lokasi sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi jenis mangrove di desa Bahoi didominasi oleh Rhizophora mucronata, R. apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, B. cylindrical, dan Sonneratia alba, dengan kerapatan jenis tertinggi di stasiun 1 diperlihatkan oleh  Rhizophora apiculata (0,65 ind/m2), kemudian pada stasiun 2 dan 3 oleh  R. mucronata (0,93; 0,63 ind/m2).  Kerapatan total tertinggi ditemukan pada stasiun 2, 1.85 ind/40 m2, diikuti oleh stasiun 1 (1.78 ind/40 m2), dan stasiun 3 (1.35 ind/40 m2). Sebagai kesimpulan, kondisi ekologi ekosistem mangrove di Desa Bahoi dikategorikan baik, dan  disadari bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dalam fungsi ekologis sebagai pencegah abrasi dan  tempat hidup biota perairan, serta fungsi ekonomisnya dalam aspek ekowisata, sehingga tepat untuk dikelola dengan bentuk pengelolaan ekowisata.   1 Staf Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara 2 Staf Pengajar Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Unsrat

Abstract

Echinoderms community of intertidal zone in Tasik Ria beach, Mokupa village, Tombariri Sub-district, Minahasa Regency was studied to reveal its structure. Methods implemented to study the community were density, relative density, diversity, dominance and evenness focusing on echinoderms species. Those methods including species abundance and diversity introduced by Shannon-Wiener (‘H). Results from 10 species identified with total of 193 individuals were recorded in the study.  In general, the result showed that the area still has good condition as a habitat for echinoderm communities.   Keywords: Community, diversity, dominance   A B S T R A K   Komunitas Echinodermata di zona intertidal rataan terumbu di daerah Tasik Ria Desa Mokupa Kecamatan Tombariri, Kabupaten Minahasa, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, dianalisis untuk memahami struktur komunitas organisme Echinodermata, menggunakan analisis tentang kepadatan, kepadatan relatif,  keanekaragaman, dominasi, dan kemerataan spesies.  Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kelimpahan dan keragaman spesies termasuk keragaman Shannon-Wiener spesies (H') masing-masing. Hasilnya mencatat 10 spesies dan total 193 individu.
