Abstract

Sampah adalah bahan padat yang dibuang dari berbagai aktivitas manusia, seperti pasar, rumah tangga, industri, restoran, perkantoran, dan kegiatan lainnya. Dalam era modern saat sekarang, persoalan sampah semakin kompleks dan urgensi penanganannya sebagai tantangan global dan semakin mendesak. Secara umum kondisi fisik Sungai Gunung Nago Kelurahan Lambung Bukit memiliki kesamaan dengan daerah lainnya, namun yang menjadi perhatian pemerintah desa dan penduduk sekitar saat ini adalah sampah yang berada di aliran sungai. Kondisi sungai sekarang sudah jauh berbeda dengan zaman dulu. Di beberapa tempat sudah ada banyak sampah yang berserakan akibat banyak pengunjung dan masyarakat yang membuang sampah sembarangan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan dengan membersihkan sampah di Bantaran Sungai Gunung Nago Kelurahan Lambung Bukit Kota Padang. Kedepannya diharapkan disekitar Sungai adanya infrastruktur seperti tong sampah lebih banyak sebagai TPS. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu Tanggal 12 Januari 2025 dimulai pukul 09.00 WIB. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Bantaran Aliran Sungai Gunung Nago Kelurahan Lambung Bukit ini dapat dikatakan berjalan sukses. Bantaran Sungai yang tadinya banyak sampah, setelah kegiatan PkM menjadi bersih. Masyarakat dan pengunjung wisata sungai juga tergerak hatinya untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan bersih-bersih. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan ini masyarakat dan pengunjung wisata yang terlibat menerapkan hidup bersih dengan membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Sungai merupakan ekosistem yang perlu dijaga keberadaannya karena menunjang kehidupan masyarakat disekitarnya.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mempromosikan kreativitas dan semangat kewirausahaan mahasiswa PGSD UNU Sumbar dengan memanfaatkan melon untuk menghasilkan minuman jeli inovatif yang memiliki nilai ekonomi. Melon dipilih karena mudah ditemukan, mengandung nutrisi yang baik, dan memiliki potensi untuk diolah menjadi minuman menarik yang diminati masyarakat. Metode kegiatan meliputi pelatihan produksi minuman jeli melon, pendampingan proses produksi, dan latihan praktik oleh mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu mengolah melon menjadi minuman jeli kreatif yang memiliki rasa yang baik dan layak sebagai peluang usaha. Selain meningkatkan keterampilan siswa di bidang kewirausahaan, kegiatan ini juga memberikan pengalaman praktis dalam menciptakan produk inovatif berbasis pangan lokal. Dengan kegiatan ini, diharapkan siswa dapat mengembangkan ide bisnis mandiri dan meningkatkan pemanfaatan buah lokal menjadi produk dengan nilai jual tinggi.

Abstract

AbstractTechnology Information students need the material in English subject that relate with their department. However, most of the lecturers used the materials in general English in working fields. Thus, in this research the writer did it to know the students’ need. In this research, the samples are the students in the technology informatics computer department. There is one class which is 28 students. The writer took all students through technology informatics computer sampling is total sampling. The instrument that writer used to take the data is questionnaires through close – ended questions. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative research. Then, the findings reveal that, in terms of necessities, students require English materials that are simple, relevant to IT contexts, and easy to understand. Regarding lacks, students have limited vocabulary, which hinders their ability to comprehend reading texts. Concerning wants, students express a strong desire to improve their speaking fluency; however, classroom instruction rarely provides sufficient opportunities for speaking practice. The results suggest that English teachers should design and implement learning materials that are contextually relevant to the IT and emphasize communicative activities to enhance students’ speaking competence.

Abstract

Pelatihan  ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan efektivitas pembelajaran kreativitas menggunakan pembuatan kerajinan dengan benang wol bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode pelatihan didesain untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kreatif siswa dalam menghasilkan karya seni dengan menggunakan benang wol. Pelatihan ini melibatkan siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil kegiatan  menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan pembelajaran kreativitas dengan pembuatan kerajinan benang wol mengalami kemahiran dalam melakukan praktek kerajinan. Penilaian dilakukan melalui observasi guru, penilaian proyek kerajinan. Temuan ini mendukung efektivitas pelatihan pembelajaran kreativitas dengan menggunakan benang wol sebagai media dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kreatif siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Implikasi pengabdian  ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan metode pembelajaran kreativitas yang lebih luas di lingkungan sekolah  dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the composting process from banana peel waste using EM4 activator and cow dung. In addition, the water content, C, N, phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and C/N ratio in the resulting compost were also examined. The composting system was made in three forms of treatment, namely banana peel with a mixture of cow dung in a ratio of 5:1, and banana peel with EM4 in a ratio of 5:1, and banana peel with cow dung and EM4 in a ratio of 5:1:1. The three treatments were measured in a time span of seven days, fourteen days, and twenty-one days. The parameters measured were temperature, water content, pH, Carbon, Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorus content. And compared to the standards set by SNI number 19-7-30-2004. The results obtained in the first twenty days with the addition of cow dung and EM4 showed that the use of cow dung and EM4 activators can effectively accelerate the composting rate compared to compost without activators and compost with a mixture of cow dung alone, where the compost with the addition on the twentieth day has formed, marked by a C/N ratio of 21.32% has met the standards set by SNI. The nutrient content of kepok banana peels generally meets the standards set by SNI 19-7030-2004. The nutrient content of patchouli compost using EM4 activator in the first twenty-one days was C-organic 19.82%, 20.37%, 21.32% (meeting the standard), N 0.98%, 1.05%, 1.12% (meeting the SNI standard), Potassium 0.83%, 1.04%, 1.23% (meeting the SNI), Phospor 0.109%, 0.125%, 0.132% (meeting the SNI standard), C/N ratio 20.22%, 19.4%, 19.03% (meeting the SNI standard).

Abstract

Mangosteen peel waste (Garcinia Mangostana L) is mixed with coffee grounds (Coffea Sp) to make compost, aiming to return organic matter to the soil and increase fertility. This study looks at the effectiveness of EM4 activator and dry leaves in composting mangosteen peel waste. There are two treatments: mangosteen peel, coffee grounds (KA), mangosteen peel, coffee grounds, dry leaves, EM4 (KADE). As a result, the addition of EM4 and dry leaves increases the composting speed in 31 days, using a C/N ratio reaching 4,79%, according to SNI stndards. The nutrient content in the compost also meets SNI 19-7030-2004 standards, using analysis providing levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic C, and water content thatare suitable for use. The study is recommended to beapplied to several types of plants in appropriate soil pH conditions. It is also recommended to make compost from mangosteen peel in the form of organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Water is a basic human need in everyday life. Humans use water for daily needs such as drinking, bathing, washing, and so on. Poor quality air will result in a bad environment that will affect human health and safety .Sumber Agung Village has a population of 2,773 people based on infographic data from Sumber Agung Village, consisting of 895 heads of families, with details of 1,411 men and 1,362 women The water source in Sumber Agung Village is PAM water PAM water is an abbreviation of Drinking Water Company, which refers to clean water distributed by drinking water companies to the community through a network of pipes, and has gone through a series of processing processes to ensure its quality is safe and for consumption Experts), stated that PAM air comes from various sources such as rivers, lakes, or groundwater which then go through processing processes such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection before being distributed can be related to several important factors, such as the condition of the air source, the potential for contamination, and its impact on public health. This study aims to analyze the drinking water quality in Sumber Agung Village based on physical parameters. Color: Drinking water should be clear and colorless. Turbidity: Drinking water should not be cloudy, indicating the presence of suspended particles such as mud. Temperature: The ideal drinking water temperature is between 18°C and 22°C. Chemical parameters: pH: The acidity or alkalinity of drinking water should be in the range of 65-85. Biological parameters: Pathogenic bacteria: Drinking water should be free from harmful bacteria such as E. coli and Coliform, according to Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023 concerning Drinking Water Quality Standards.

Abstract

Agam Regency has significant aquatic resource potential; however, various issues such as declining water environmental quality, insufficiently controlled reso urce exploitation, and low community involvement in conservation activities pose challenges to achieving sustainable water resource management. This study aims to develop a water conservation model for Agam Regency through community empowerment (Bado and Zulkifli, 2021), based on local wisdom as an effort to improve the economic well-being of fishers. The research method employed is a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and the distribution of questionnaires to fishing communities, traditional leaders, local government officials, and other relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted descriptively, participatively, and using a model development approach. The research results show that the local wisdom still practiced by the community has great potential to serve as a foundation for the management and conservation of aquatic resources. Lakoy et al. (2021) stated that the development of the conservation model was carried out through strengthening community institutions, enhancing fishers' capacity, implementing customary-based regulations, diversifying productive economic enterprises, and fostering collaboration among communities, the government, and related institutions. The resulting model places the community as the primary actor in the management of aquatic resources while continuing to take ecological, social, cultural, and economic aspects into consideration. The implementation of this model is expected to help ensure the sustainability of aquatic resources, increase public awareness of conservation, strengthen local institutions, and sustainably improve the income and welfare of fishers.
