Abstract

The quality of friendship is a bond of relationship that is formed and has various aspects of support, conflict, and qualitative aspects of friendship that can determine how a friendly relationship can run well as it should and be able to resolve various conflicts faced. The high and low quality of friendship can be influenced by phubbing behavior. The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between phubbing behavior and the quality of friendship in Pekanbaru. This study uses quantitative methods with Pearson product moment analysis. The total sample in this study amounted to 348 respondents who were taken using quota sampling technique. Based on the results of research conducted that there is a negative relationship between phubbing behavior and the quality of adolescent friendship in Pekanbaru City with a significant value of 0.115 and a correlation coefficient of -0.463, meaning that the higher the phubbing behavior, the lower the quality of friendship, while on the contrary the lower the quality of friendship. the higher the phubbing behavior of adolescents in Pekanbaru. Therefore, the phubbing behavior of adolescent in Pekanbaru has a relationship with the quality of friendship.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berjudul “Sosialisasi Strategi Personal Branding melalui Media Sosial bagi Siswa SMAN 2 Tandun” bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai pentingnya membangun citra diri positif di era digital. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Tandun, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, Provinsi Riau, dengan metode penyampaian materi, diskusi, serta tanya jawab. Materi mencakup konsep personal branding, pengelolaan jejak digital, etika bermedia sosial, dan strategi pemanfaatan media sosial secara bijak serta produktif untuk mendukung pengembangan diri. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam mengidentifikasi potensi diri, menentukan pesan yang ingin ditampilkan di ruang digital, dan memahami dampak unggahan terhadap reputasi pribadi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman siswa dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai sarana membangun karakter digital yang positif, aman, dan bertanggung jawab. Peningkatan ini terlihat dari kemampuan siswa menjelaskan kembali prinsip personal branding, menyadari pentingnya konsistensi identitas, serta menunjukkan sikap lebih selektif dalam berinteraksi dan membagikan konten. Kegiatan ini diharapkan berkontribusi pada kesiapan siswa menghadapi tantangan masa depan melalui pemanfaatan media sosial untuk tujuan edukatif, kreatif, dan pengembangan karier.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of intelligence adversity and work commitment to cyberloafing behavior of  lecturer at the Asean Economic Community (MEA)’s era. So, this research beneficial to the development of theoretical science of industrial and organizational psychology about work behavior, as well as suggestions to keep the factors that make lecturer can avoid unproductive work habits that was cyberloafing, given the importance of the role of the faculty. This study used a quantitative method by spreading questionnaires to lecturers consisting of adversity intelligence scale,  work commitment scale, and cyberloafing behavior scale that researchers collated by self, and analyzed statistically to discussed the cyberloafing behavior of lecturers. According to Lim (2002) cyberloafing an employee volunteer activities in the office, in using the internet access that has no correlation in the work. The result of this research showed that there is correlation between adversity intelligence and work commitment with cyberloafing behavior based on p value = 0,042 hence acceptable hypothesis, and contribution of adversity intelligence and work commitment equal to 19% to cyberloafing behavior. It is expected to be a suggestion for Higher Education to improve the quality of lecturer in facing MEA.
