Abstract

In general, in cattle farming, individual identification is often done using text numbers on the cattle's ears, which is considered efficient. However, field observations reveal limitations of this technique, particularly in terms of data redundancy and new registration validation. Sometimes, errors can occur when cattle identity numbers are exchanged between the farm and the livestock market. Therefore, an intelligent biometric identification system attached to each cattle, such as the pattern on the muzzle, similar to human fingerprints, is needed. In this study, we collected and published primary cattle muzzle data as a dataset in a cloud repository. We also implemented the use of muzzle image data with a convolutional neural network algorithm in TensorFlow as a step for further development. The recognition implementation using the MobileNetV2 architecture resulted in an 83% accuracy rate for 30 individual cattle classes out of a total of 210 primary dataset divided into training and testing data.

Abstract

WiFi is a term used for wireless network devices (WLAN) based on IEEE 802.11 standard. Access Point is a WLAN device that is used as a transmitter or receiver. One of the parameters that can determine the performance of a WiFi is the coverage area of an access point. Placement it is not appropriate with environmental conditions will cause some of an area that is not covered or a blankspot area. In this research, the position of the access point was optimized using a genetic algorithm based on position and coverage area. Total coverage area is obtained by determining the union coverage area of all access points which appropriate with the range that is determined using indoor propagation model. From the research results, the most optimal number of access points is 5 access points. The existing condition with 5 access points has a coverage area of 75,27%, while optimization using 5 access points has a coverage area of 96,64%. The optimization can increase the coverage area by 21,38% and reduce the blank spot area to 3,36%.

Abstract

Increasing security on vehicles, including electric bicycles, is an important concern to prevent criminal acts such as theft. The security system developed in this study uses a fingerprint sensor to ensure that only registered users can operate electric bicycles. By scanning and verifying fingerprints, the system ensures that only fingerprints registered in the database can start the vehicle. E-bike technology, which combines the concept of a conventional bicycle with the addition of an electric motor and battery as a driver, was chosen as the object of research. The implementation of this system involves an Arduino Uno device, fingerprint sensor, buzzer, and relay to regulate vehicle access. Arduino Uno functions as a control center that regulates the process of verifying identity and activating electric bicycles, while the buzzer acts as a sound notification tool in the system. This system is expected to be able to improve vehicle security and provide a practical solution in vehicle access based on biometric authentication.

Abstract

Permintaan industri terhadap produk berbahan tanaman mint begitu besar sehingga banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang mencoba menanam tanaman mint di pekarangan rumahnya. Kelembaban optimum dari tanaman mint antara 70% - 80% dan suhu 20oC - 30oC. Daun mint tidak dapat tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik apabila pengairan tidak dilakukan dengan tepat. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dibuatlah sebuah alat monitoring dan penyiraman otomatis menggunakan ESP32 berbasis IoT-LoRa. Alat yang dirancang untuk mengetahui suhu dan kelembaban tanah, serta penyiraman otomatis pada tanaman mint. Sensor yang digunakan yaitu sensor DHT22 dan soil moisture yang terhubung dengan masing-masing node sensor. Peneliti membuat alat monitoring dengan 3 node sensor dan LoRa gateway.  Sistem ini memanfaatkan perangkat monitoring, aplikasi android, dan database firebase. Akurasi yang dihasilkan dari sensor soil moisture cukup baik dengan pengujian dilakukan pada tanah basah. Nilai rata-rata kesalahan yaitu 1.525%. Selain itu, sensor DHT22 juga menunjukkan tingkat akurasi yang baik ketika diuji pada pagi, siang, dan malam hari. Rata-rata kesalahan pengukuran suhu yaitu 2.334oC dan kelembabannya yaitu 1.872%. Jangkauan komunikasi antara node sensor dan LoRa gateway setelah pengujian diperoleh jarak maksimumnya adalah 350 meter dengan nilai rata-rata RSSI sebesar -119 dBm pada area Line of Sight (LOS).

Abstract

Di era digital yang semakin berkembang, teknologi Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) seperti LoRa menjadi solusi utama untuk komunikasi nirkabel jarak jauh berdaya rendah. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan statistik routing multi-hop pada jaringan LoRa dan menganalisis pengaruh jarak antar node terhadap kinerja jaringan, seperti Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) dan kekuatan sinyal (RSSI). Pengujian ini menggunakan metode uji coba yang telah dilakukan di jalur bypass yakni dengan menempatkan node 1 pada jarak 100 meter dari node 2 dan node 3 yang bertindak sebagai node perantara juga berada pada jarak 100 dari node 4 yang berfungsi sebagai receiver akhir. Jarak antar node kemudian diperpanjang dari 100 meter hingga 500 meter. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan jarak antar node dari 100 hingga 500 meter menurunkan kualitas komunikasi secara signifikan, dengan PDR turun dari 95% menjadi 45% dan error rate meningkat hingga 55%. Selain itu, jarak yang lebih jauh mempengaruhi kekuatan dan sinyal transmisi data, diperburuk oleh interferensi dan hambatan fisik. Strategi mitigasi seperti routing multi-hop dan jalur alternatif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan jangkauan, stabilitas, dan keberlanjutan komunikasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era requires the younger generation to have strong technological literacy to face future challenges. The Arduino programming training and socialization program at SMPN 6 Mataram is designed to enhance students' understanding of basic programming and electronics concepts through a practical approach. This training involves students in developing mini-projects using Arduino, such as simple robots and automation systems. The program consists of five stages: preparation, introduction, theory training, practice, and evaluation and follow-up. The evaluation results show that the three participant groups achieved relatively equal results, with the highest score in Group 1 (34%) and 33% for Groups 2 and 3. Minor differences between groups indicate the need for additional approaches to equalize understanding. This program is expected to serve as a model for technological literacy learning that can be implemented in other schools, enabling students to acquire relevant technological skills for the future

Abstract

The tilapia rearing process requires optimal water temperature quality for good growth. The optimal water temperature for tilapia rearing is 26°C - 32°C. Temperatures that are too low or too high can cause growth disorders and even death in tilapia. Manual monitoring of tilapia rearing pond water temperature by the pond owner is often inefficient because it requires regular visits. Based on this problem, this research aims to design an automatic tilapia water temperature monitoring system using Internet of Things (IoT) technology that can work automatically and in real-time. The data used in this research is collected through the reading of the pond water temperature by the DS18B20 temperature sensor installed in the tilapia rearing pond. This monitoring system is designed using ESP32 as the main microcontroller, DS18B20 temperature sensor, heater, relay, and LCD. The results showed that the system succeeded in maintaining the optimal water temperature for tilapia. When the water temperature is below 26°C the heater will automatically turn on to warm the pool water temperature and the heater will automatically turn off when the temperature is above 30°C. The average temperature monitored in this study is 28.90 ° C, with successful notifications sent via telegram bot every five minutes and real-time pond water temperature data via LCD.

Abstract

In recent years, it noted that the number of requests for blood from hospitals in West Lombok and Mataram exceeded the bloodstock in the PMI Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) in West Lombok Regency. The blood requests need predicting so there is no shortage of bloodstock. The model of the Backpropagation artificial neural network method is used to estimate the number of short-term blood requests. Predictive performance is analyzed based on the accuracy value based on the Absolute Maximum Percent Error (MAPE). The use of backpropagation neural networks can help respond to emergencies faster and predict more accurately. Accuracy rate prediction results for some type of blood component are: Whole Blood Bank Blood Hospital (WB BDRS) of 22%, BDRS Packet Red Cell blood of 78%, Thrombocyte Concentrate BDRS blood of 84 %, Fresh Frozen Plasma BDRS blood of 80%, WB NON-BDRS blood of 18%, PRC NON-BDRS blood of 66%, TC NON-BDRS blood of 55%, and FFP NON-BDRS blood of 47%. Based on these results, the JST backpropagation method can be used to predict TC BDRS blood and FFP BDRS blood with a good category.

Abstract

Indonesia as an agricultural country has quite large agricultural potential and can contribute to the national economy. As an agricultural country, it means that the majority of the population in Indonesia depends on the agricultural sector for their livelihood. One of the government's calls to improve the performance of the agricultural sector is to encourage the younger generation, especially those at the Vocational High School (SMK) level, to get to know, study, and apply IoT products to support the Smart Farming concept. This call has encountered obstacles caused by SMK PP teachers, especially those who have competencies in food crop agribusiness, horticulture, plantations and seeds who do not understand agricultural technology. To overcome these obstacles, it is necessary to hold training and introduction to IoT-based technology that is implemented in the agricultural sector. The training provided begins with the concept of smart drip irrigation using IoT which is utilized in hydroponic plants. In the process of manually controlling water, farmers use watering time intervals without paying attention to soil moisture so that water supply is inefficient. With Internet Of Things (IoT) technology, automation of watering can be carried out so that the expected soil moisture can be maintained, without excessive water waste. The training was conducted by giving a lecture on the implementation of IoT in smart drip irrigation, followed by the introduction and assembly of IoT-based smart drip irrigation modules. The training conducted has provided new knowledge and understanding for students and teachers of SMK PP Negeri Mataram about the importance of technology such as IoT in managing agriculture. They hope that training like this can be continued and is expected to become one of the subjects in the SMK PP Negeri Mataram curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of internet service quality from three 4G providers (Telkomsel, XL, and Tri) on player performance in the Honor Of Kings game in three different modes, namely Custom, Skin Visualization, and Ranked. Measurements were made using Quality Of Service parameters such as throughput, packet loss, and delay with the help of Wireshark software and processed using statistical methods by calculating the average Quality Of Service parameters from each provider by playing the Honor Of Kings game in Custom, Skin Visualization, and Ranked modes. The average of the results showed that Telkomsel consistently recorded the best performance with the highest throughput (7.59 Kbps in custom mode, 7.27 Kbps in visual skin, and 6.84 Kbps in Ranked mode), the lowest packet loss (0.94%, 1.21%, and 1.43%), and the fastest delay (55 ms in Custom mode, 59 ms in Visual Skin, and 63 ms in Ranked mode). This study concludes that the choice of internet provider has a significant impact on the comfort and performance of playing online games, with Telkomsel as the optimal choice to support competitive and visual activities in Honor Of Kings. This finding can be a reference for players in choosing internet services that suit gameplay needs.
