Abstract

Introduction. Midwives must continue to carry out their duties in checking health of mothers and children and childbirth during COVID-19 pandemic, This condition makes them feel anxious. prevalence of anxiety for health workers during a pandemic is 44.7%. This study aims to analyze influence of factors that influence anxiety in midwives at Bungah Health Center during a covid-19 pandemic. Method. type of research is an analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. sample in this study were all midwives at Bungah Health Center as much as 32 respondents. variables in this study were age, education, knowledge, availability of PPE, and anxiety which were measured using Hamilton Anxiety Range Scale (HARS) questionnaire, and data were analyzed using binary logistic regression statistical tests. Result. results showed that 50% of midwives experienced anxiety. 68.75% of midwives are >35 years old. 84.37% of midwives have 3-years diploma, 59.37% of midwives have good knowledge, and 68.75% of midwives stated that PPE is complete. results of statistical tests showed that there was an influence between age and knowledge on anxiety of midwives with OR values 1.877 and 0.306, while education and availability of PPE did not have a significant effect on midwives anxiety. Conclusion. Age and knowledge have an effect on anxiety in midwives at Bungah Health Center, midwives with age> 35 years are at risk of experiencing anxiety by 1.87 times greater than with age <35 years, and midwives with good knowledge are at risk of experiencing anxiety by 0.3 times greater than with poor knowledge.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Rumah Sakit membutuhkan sumber daya manusia salah satunya yakni tenaga kebidanan. Bidan memiliki kerentanan tinggi terhadap kelelahan kerja disebabkan oleh jadwal kegiatan melayani pasien sesuai shift kerja, banyaknya jumlah pasien per hari, serta kondisi pasien yang berbeda. Kelelahan kerja disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, status gizi, masa kerja, antropometri, dan pendidikan. Sedangkan faktor eksternal meliputi beban kerja fisik dan beban kerja mental. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara masa kerja, status gizi, dan beban kerja mental dengan keluhan kelelahan kerja pada bidan di Rumah Sakit X Surabaya. Metode: Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 12 orang bidan. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner NASA-TLX dan IFRC. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji Spearman rho. Hasil: Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan hubungan yang signifikan diantara masa kerja (ρ = 0,028), status gizi (ρ = 0,015), dan beban kerja mental (ρ = 0,009) dengan keluhan kelelahan kerja pada bidan di Rumah Sakit X Surabaya. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikansi antara masa kerja, status gizi, dan beban kerja mental dengan keluhan kelelahan kerja pada bidan di Rumah Sakit X Surabaya.

Abstract

The prevalence of accidents in Indonesia from 2017 to 2021 has increased from 123,040 cases to 234,270 cases yearly.Individuals need to implement safety performance measures. One of the personal factors that affect safety performance is safety knowledge and safety motivation. This study aims to determine the relationship between safety knowledge and motivation with safety performance among construction workers of PT.X in Bandung Regency. This research was conducted during the PT X construction project at Bandung Regency. The research started in November 2022 and finished in January 2023. This study used a quantitative approach with observational analytics and a cross-sectional research design. The study population consists of 127 construction workers employed by PT X in Bandung Regency. The method used in this research is simple random sampling with a minimum sample size required for this study of 96 respondents. Analytics data used the chi-square test to analyze bivariate data with a significance value of 0,05. The independent variables in this study are safety knowledge and safety motivation, while the dependent variables are safety performance. The result of this research showed that there was a relationship between safety knowledge (0.00<0.05) and safety motivation (0.01<0.05) with safety performance. Increasing workers' knowledge of potential hazards, risks, and controls in the construction sector will motivate workers to behave safely in the work environment.   Keywords: Safety Knowledge, Safety Motivation, Safety Performance

Abstract

One of the factors that can influence workers' compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health program is the safety climate, namely workers' perceptions of managerial commitment related to work safety. Occupational safety climate includes 7 dimensions namely commitment and capability of safety management; empowering safety management; fairness of safety management; workers' commitment to work safety; worker safety priority and intolerance of hazard risks; learning, communication, and innovation; and confidence in the effectiveness of the safety system. So research is needed that aims to determine the conditions of the safety climate and occupational health and safety programs in the X building construction project in Surabaya. This descriptive study involved 30 finishing foremen selected by accidental sampling technique. Data was collected by filling out the NOSACQ-50 questionnaire to workers and interviewing HSE staff regarding the Occupational Health and Safety program at the X Building Construction Project in Surabaya. The results of the analysis showed that there were 4 dimensions that fall into the sufficient category and need improvement, 2 dimensions were in the good category and need a little improvement, and 1 dimension was in the less category and needs a big improvement. Efforts to improve can be made related to building worker participation, outreach related to safety, and program evaluation.Keywords: safety climate; management; occupational health and safety ABSTRAK Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan pekerja terhadap program Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja adalah iklim keselamatan, yaitu persepsi pekerja terhadap komitmen manajerial terkait keselamatan kerja. Iklim keselamatan kerja mencakup 7 dimensi yakni komitmen dan kemampuan manajemen keselamatan; pemberdayaan manajemen keselamatan; keadilan manajemen keselamatan; komitmen pekerja tehadap keselamatan kerja; prioritas keselamatan pekerja dan tidak ditoleranisnya risiko bahaya; pembelajaran, komunikasi, dan inovasi; serta kepercayaan terhadap keefektifan sistem keselamatan kerja. Maka diperlukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi iklim keselamatan dan program kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di proyek pembangunan gedung X di Surabaya. Studi deskriptif ini melibatkan 30 pekerja mandor finishing yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner NOSACQ-50 kepada pekerja dan wawancara kepada staff HSE terkait program Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja di Proyek Pembangunan Gedung X di Surabaya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 dimensi yang masuk ke dalam kategori cukup dan butuh peningkatan, 2 dimensi kategori baik dan butuh sedikit peningkatan, serta 1 dimensi kategori kurang dan butuh peningkatan yang besar. Upaya peningkatan dapat dilakukan terkait dengan membangun partisipasi pekerja, sosialisasi terkait keselamatan, dan evaluasi program.Kata kunci:  iklim keselamatan; manajemen; keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja

Abstract

One of the tasks of humans in the industrial world is moving and transporting materials at great risk of triggering Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). One production area with the potential for occupational disease hazards is the Assembly and Decoration area, which is a place for mixing colors. This area has a fairly high potential for occupational diseases in the form of MSDs because everyday workers always use manual product handling or what is known as lifting for 8 hours, hence workers often experience complaints of MSDs on the back, waist, shoulders, and arms. This research is a descriptive quantitative research type with analytical observational methods. This research is cross-sectional. The population in this study was 30 workers in the assembly and decoration area of ​​PT. X. Measurement of MSDs among workers in the Assembly and Decoration areas using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire and the RULA method. The results of measurements using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire show that workers in the Assembly and Decoration sections have the potential to experience MSDs problems. Apart from that, based on the results of RULA measurements on Assembly and Decoration workers, a total score of 5 was obtained. So it can be concluded that this work is in the medium category and action is needed soon.

Abstract

Working in confined spaces has high risks, such as inhaling hazardous substances, trapped, falling, falling objects, fires, and explosions. One work sector that uses a lot of confined spaces in its production process is the Steam Power Plant. In Indonesia, Paiton Steam Power Plant is one of the largest steam power plants, supplying electricity to the islands of Java and Bali. To reduce the risk of accident in confined spaces, the Indonesia government, through the Ministry of Manpower, has established the latest regulations on confined spaces, which must be implemented in all companies that use confined spaces. This research aims to evaluate the current procedure and regulation about confined spaces in one of the companies that operated Paiton Steam Power Plant with the latest regulations by the Indonesia Ministry of Manpower. By using descriptive qualitative with literature study instrument on documents, observations, and interviews with safety specialist and safety officers. The result is within 56 checklist point evaluation based on Indonesia Regulation, there are 7 points minor inconsistencies, and 1 point is major inconsistencies. The company has implemented the regulation really well and just need to do some adjustment in the future.

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased the demand for delivery services, primarily from online buyers and sellers. This surge elevates couriers' workload, leading to prolonged work hours and unstable conditions (extreme weather exposure, and inconsistent delivery targets), which contribute to stress. Persistent work stress negatively affects productivity, quality of life, and physical and mental health. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between workload and job stress in couriers, and determine the relationship between external and internal factors of work stress in couriers. Methods: This study employed a literature review method, utilizing national and international articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selected journal articles were from research published in the last five years (2020-2025) and were sourced from databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. The data search strategy applied the PICO method (Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcomes) using keywords combined with Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to refine or expand the search. Results: The results of data search through the screening stage found a total of seven articles, namely four national articles and three international articles. The results of the search for these seven articles prove that as many as 85.7% indicate a relationship between workload and work stress in couriers. Conclusions: Based on the comparative analysis of the number of articles found and selected, there is a relationship between workload and work stress in couriers. External factors of high work demands with long working hours can cause work stress which can interfere with workers' work.

Abstract

Background: The 2019 National Socio-Economic Survey showed that 92.1% of active smokers were workers. An increase in risky behaviour such as smoking can be a cause of stress in working individuals. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the strength of the relationship between smoking habits and occupational stress in board operators. Methods: This is a quantitative research design. The type of research used was observational with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using the total population of 52 people. The independent variable (smoking habit) was measured using the Penn State Nicotine Dependence Index and the dependent variable (work stress) was taken with the Workplace Stress Scale questionnaire. The strength of the relationship test was carried out with the contingency coefficient test to determine the strength of the relationship between variables. Results: 30 respondents (57.7%) do not smoke. While 30 respondents (57.7%) had work stress levels mostly in the moderate stress category. The results of the strong relationship showed c = 0.254 which means a weak relationship between smoking habits and occupational stress. Conclusion: Most of board operators do not have a smoking habit and experience moderate work stress and there is a weak relationship between smoking habits and work stress. Abstrak Latar Belakang: Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional 2019 menunjukkan sebanyak 92,1% perokok aktif berasal dari kalangan pekerja. Peningkatan perilaku berisiko seperti kebiasaan merokok dapat menjadi penyebab stres pada individu pekerja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kuat hubungan kebiasaan merokok dengan stres kerja pada operator board. Metode: Ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel menggunakan total populasi yaitu sebesar 52 orang. Variabel independen (kebiasaan merokok) diukur dengan menggunakan Penn State Nicotine Dependence Index dan variabel dependen (stres kerja) diambil dengan kuesioner Workplace Stress Scale. Uji kuat hubungan dilakukan dengan uji koefisien kontingensi untuk mengetahui kuat hubungan antar variabel. Hasil: 30 responden (57,7%) tidak merokok, sedangkan 30 responden (57,7%) tingkat stres kerja mayoritas dalam kategori stres sedang. Hasil kuat hubungan menunjukkan c = 0,254 yang memiliki makna hubungan lemah antara kebiasan merokok dengan stres kerja. Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar board operator tidak memiliki kebiasaan merokok dan mengalami stres kerja sedang serta terdapat hubungan lemah antara kebiasaan merokok dengan stres kerja.
