Abstract

Inflation and unemployment are the two main problems in the economy, when inflation increases, the prices of goods and wages do not move at the same pace. high inflation and unemployment have a negative impact on the economy and stability of the country. He also stated that if inflation is high, unemployment will be low. This study uses a sample of inflation and unemployment rates in Bogor City in 2019-2021 based on the Central Statistics Agency. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the influence of low unemployment has a positive impact on the economy and workers, unemployment that is too low can push inflation up. But if the government takes steps to curb inflation, it could reduce unemployment and trigger a recession.

Abstract

Monoclonal antibodies (mAb) are known to be able to be produced from Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. It has become increasingly important throughout the years due to its efficiency and revolutionary treatment for various diseases such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, and so forth. This review examines several upstream and downstream processes involved in the production of mAb including CHO cell maintenance, cellular engineering of CHO, transfection of plasmids into CHO cells, clonal selection and screening, culture of rCHO cells, cell harvesting, purification, and polishing. Several challenges of the bioprocessing process include a lack of large up scaling for industrial purposes, high capital costs, as well as productivity inefficiencies. However, a solution proposed is for biopharmaceutical companies to research further into the downstream processing for a continuous, efficient, and productive process.

Abstract

In the face of the detrimental effect from the abundant waste, humans were left with no choice but to cycle them. Waste sorting, an important step to maximize the recyclables resources, is essential to be performed. To reinforce the waste sorting behavior, this study observed the impact of verbal prompt intervention. The experiment was done at a higher education institution, Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L), that integrates sustainability education into their curriculum. This study observed convenient sampling of one group, pre- and post- intervention. Volunteers stand by and notify wrong waste generators for one hour in the communal cafeteria for one month, after one week of baseline observation. The observation revealed a sufficient number of knowledge on waste sorting on the pre-intervention baseline (75%). The presence of the prolonged intervention increased the number of correct waste sorting to 89.68% in the fourth week of intervention. Nonetheless, a survey conducted to confirm the cause of change, disclosed that the community’s heightened proper waste behavior is independent of the direct reminder, but rather due to the presence of the notifying volunteer. Therefore the root of waste segregation behavior improvement was more than just from verbal reminder, but from the presence of the rangers that enforces the rules.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the regulation of criminal acts of corruption in the management of State funds based on Law No. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law No. 20 of 2001, analyzing the judge's considerations in District Court Decision Number 49/Pid.Sus-TPK/2018/PN.Jkt.Pst which is in line with the KUHAP and Law no. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law no. 20 of 2001, as well as evaluating the verdict given by the judge in District Court Decision Number 49/Pid.Sus-TPK/2018/PN.Jkt.Pst by Law no. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law no. 20 of 2001. The focus of the problem is the regulation of criminal acts of corruption in the State budget based on Law No. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law No. 20 of 2001, the judge's considerations in District Court Decision Number 49/Pid.Sus-TPK/2018/PN.Jkt.Pst which are in line with the KUHAP and Law no. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law no. 20 of 2001, as well as the verdict handed down by the judge in District Court Decision Number 49/Pid.Sus-TPK/2018/PN.Jkt.Pst by Law no. 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law no. 20 of 2001. This research uses criminal theory and prosecution theory. Data was collected through library search techniques and analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study concluded that the Panel thought that the Defendant was legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption by Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.

Abstract

As many as 70-80% of endometrial cancer cases are endometrial adenocarcinoma. Histopathological assessment is based on the degree of differentiation, into well-differentiated, moderate-differentiated, and poorly-differentiated. Management and prognosis differ between grades, so differential diagnosis in determining the degree of tumor differentiation is crucial for appropriate treatment decisions. Histopathological image analysis offers detailed diagnostic results, but manual analysis by a pathologist is very complicated, error-prone, quite tedious, and time-consuming. Therefore, an automatic diagnostic system is needed to assist pathologists in grading the tumor. This research aims to determine the degree of differentiation of endometrial adenocarcinoma based on histopathological images. The extreme learning machine (ELM) method performs image classification with gray level run long matrix (GLRLM) features and a combination of local binary pattern (LBP)-GLRLM features as input. Experimental results show that the ELM model can achieve satisfactory performance. Training accuracy, testing accuracy, and model precision with GLRLM features were 97.13%, 91.33%, and 80% and combined LBPGLRLM features were 91.03%, 71.33%, and 100%. Overall, the model created can determine the degree of tumor differentiation and is useful in providing a second opinion for pathologists.

Abstract

This study endeavors to explore the intricate connection between Human Resource Management (HRM) practices and Organizational Resilience, with a specific emphasis on dimensions such as leadership, innovation, employee performance, and system satisfaction. Employing a literature review methodology, a comprehensive understanding framework was constructed by examining insights from various prominent studies available in Scopus, ScienceDirect, and ResearchGate journals. The outcomes underscore the pivotal role of HRM in confronting unparalleled challenges, especially during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, it was discovered that the quality of systems, information, and services significantly influences user satisfaction within e-learning systems. Furthermore, the characteristics of boards, including board size, the proportion of independent commissioners, and board meeting frequency, exhibit an impact on CSR disclosure in the mining industry. The findings also illuminate the intricate nature of digital HRM transformation, emphasizing the necessity for a holistic approach that encompasses process reengineering, competency development, and organizational culture change. Practical implications emanating from the research involve refining marketing and service strategies based on factors that influence customer satisfaction. In the context of bolstering global competitiveness, the study highlights the pivotal role of knowledge management, emphasizing the imperative to concentrate on knowledge management strategies amidst intensifying global competition. Consequently, this research contributes profound insights, theoretical advancements, and invaluable practical recommendations for prospective research endeavors and HRM practitioners.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the carotenoid and moisture stability of spray-dried and freeze-dried red fruit oil with different wall materials during storage. Red fruit emulsion was prepared by mixing sodium caseinate, maltodextrin and whey protein isolate in different ratios (1:0 (MW1), 3:1 (MW2), 1:3 (MW3) and 0:1 (MW4)), water, and red fruit oil followed by spray or freeze drying. The result showed that the carotenoid content of all samples was stable, but the moisture content changed during storage. Freeze-dried samples showed higher carotenoid and moisture content compared to spray-dried samples throughout the storage.
