Abstract

The learning paradigm that places students as subjects can provide opportunities for them to be physically and mentally active in the learning process. This research aims to analyze students’ learning experience in constructivist learning. This research is important for developing learning methods that align with the needs of contemporary education and enhancing the quality of learning in Madrasah Aliyah. This research employs a qualitative research method using a case study approach. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data underwent analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that constructivistic learning provides various learning experiences for students, including increased active participation, development of critical thinking skills, making flexible decisions from various perspectives, being involved in designing learning, constructing knowledge, and learning collaboratively. This research puts forward new knowledge about constructivistic learning in the context of SKI subject in Madrasah Aliyah, showing its significance in deepening practical understanding. It makes a valuable contribution to Islamic education literature by offering new perspectives relevant for curriculum development and learning practices. Future research steps could include further evaluation of the effectiveness of constructivistic implementation and its applicability in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of the role of teachers of Islamic Religious Education in shaping a moderate attitude amidst the diversity of students, so that a tolerant, harmonious learning environment is created in accordance with the values of rahmatan lil ’alamin. The study aims to identify the steps of teachers’ strategies in Islamic Religious Education in instilling the values of religious moderation among students at SMA Negeri 1 Mataram. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case-study design. The subjects of the study are teachers of Islamic Religious Education and students of SMA Negeri 1 Mataram. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Theoretically, this research is expected to enrich the body of scientific knowledge and serve as a reference for future researchers in developing inclusive and moderate education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation of the in-depth learning curriculum in the teaching of faith and morals at MTs Qurrota A'yun. The research focuses on the background of the innovation, the curriculum model and design, planning, implementation, evaluation, and its advantages and limitations. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal of curriculum, faith and morals teacher, and students. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and analytically, linking it to theory and current research findings. The results indicate that the curriculum innovation emerged from collaboration between various parties committed to strengthening students' faith and morals. The learning design uses a mindful, meaningful, and joyful approach integrated with daily life. In planning and implementation, teachers undergo regular preparation and training, as well as provide mentoring to students. Evaluation is carried out continuously through daily journals (students' books) and observation of attitudes. The implementation of the in-depth learning approach has proven relevant and effective in developing contextual and adaptive faith and morals education in the global era. Abstract

This article aims to formulate a collaborative theory of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) that can systematically and sustainably strengthen religious moderation in educational institutions. In the context of Indonesia's religious and cultural diversity, religious moderation is essential for fostering a harmonious and just society. This study employs a literature review method with a theoretical approach, analyzing concepts such as wasathiyyah, moderate Islamic values, and educational policies. The findings reveal that the implementation of religious moderation in education can be achieved through integrating tolerance values into the curriculum, optimizing inclusive teaching methods, teacher training, and evaluating students’ attitudes. The proposed collaborative IRE framework emphasizes the integration of Islamic, national, and socio-cultural values, while promoting key principles such as honesty, openness, compassion, and flexibility. Consequently, educational institutions serve as strategic spaces for shaping a generation that is moderate, tolerant, and capable of living peacefully in diversity.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam pada jenjang pendidikan dasar memerlukan inovasi yang mampu menghadirkan materi secara kontekstual serta menanamkan nilai karakter Islami. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan inovasi pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual pada mata pelajaran SKI di MI Ihyaussunnah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Responden penelitian terdiri dari dua guru SKI sebagai informan utama dan satu kepala madrasah sebagai informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui penggunaan storytelling, media visual, diskusi interaktif, dan proyek sederhana yang terintegrasi dengan nilai karakter. Guru berperan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran adaptif, sedangkan kepala madrasah mendukung melalui supervisi akademik. Model pembelajaran yang diterapkan bersifat integratif dan kontekstual, dengan evaluasi autentik pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Implementasi inovasi ini meningkatkan minat belajar, partisipasi, dan pemahaman nilai historis Islam pada siswa.

Abstract

Pancasila education is often delivered through textual and didactic approaches, which tend to limit active student engagement. This study aims to analyze how Kahoot-based gamification facilitates the internalization of Pancasila values among students of the Arabic Language Education Department at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Therefore, this study employs a qualitative case study design to explore students' learning experiences during gamified instruction. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that Kahoot gamification successfully creates a more interactive, competitive, and collaborative learning environment. Students demonstrated increased intrinsic motivation, marked by spontaneous reactions, increased focus, and consistent engagement throughout the activity. Their understanding of Pancasila values improved through application-based questions that encouraged them to connect concepts with real-life contexts. Gamification also fostered digital civic engagement, reflected in students' sportsmanship, honesty, and adherence to game rules. The lecturer's role as a facilitator was crucial in balancing enjoyment with meaningful value reflection. Although some technical challenges occurred, such as unstable internet connections, these issues did not significantly hinder the learning process.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the urgency of transforming Akidah Akhlak learning in response to the challenges of intolerance, moral degradation, and environmental crises. Previous studies have generally treated religious moderation and ecological awareness as separate domains, resulting in limited curriculum innovations that integrate both perspectives. This study aims to analyze curriculum innovation in Akidah Akhlak learning at MAN 4 Bantul and its contribution to character development through religious moderation and ecological awareness. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Research participants consisted of the vice principal for curriculum affairs, Akidah Akhlak teachers, and students at MAN 4 Bantul. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations conducted over one week for two hours each day, and analysis of curriculum documents and instructional materials. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. Data analysis was carried out interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that curriculum innovation was implemented through the integration of religious moderation values, the application of project-based learning, and the strengthening of ecological dimensions in both classroom learning and madrasah culture. The study further suggests that Akidah Akhlak learning not only internalized the values of tolerance, anti-extremism, and respect for diversity, but also fostered environmental responsibility through waste management activities, school greening programs, and religious reflection based on ecological awareness. The integration of moderation- and ecology-based learning contributed to increased student engagement and supported the development of tolerant attitudes, critical thinking, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. This study recommends a more systematic strengthening of Akidah Akhlak curriculum policies based on religious moderation and ecological awareness in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of religious literacy and the emergence of a character crisis among students, reflecting a discrepancy between the values taught in schools and students’ actual behavior. The study aims to analyze the implementation of Qur’anic Reading and Writing (Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an/BTQ) learning in character formation, examine its impact on students’ behavioral changes, and identify the gap between values and practices within the school environment. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers and students as research informants. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the validity of the findings was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that BTQ learning not only enhances students’ ability to read the Qur’an but also serves as a medium for the internalization of character education through habituation, exemplary conduct, and motivational reinforcement. The implementation of BTQ learning contributes to the improvement of students’ religiosity, discipline, and social attitudes. However, these changes have not been evenly manifested among all students, indicating the persistence of a gap between the values conveyed in learning and students’ actual behavior. This discrepancy is influenced by internal factors, external factors, and the existing learning system. The study concludes that BTQ learning plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character; nevertheless, greater emphasis on evaluation aspects and instructional strategies is required to optimize the internalization of values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Tulung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi lapangan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan peserta didik, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dilakukan melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang variatif seperti audio visual, problem based learning, dan inkuiri yang mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, berdiskusi, serta memahami makna materi secara lebih mendalam. Pembelajaran tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek kognitif, tetapi juga menekankan pada penguatan nilai-nilai karakter seperti kepedulian sosial, toleransi, dan pengamalan ajaran Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya pada materi zakat, penyembelihan kurban, dan akikah. Selain itu, guru juga berperan aktif dalam memberikan motivasi serta teladan agar peserta didik mampu menginternalisasi nilai-nilai keislaman secara praktis. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan deep learning mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, keterlibatan belajar, serta pembentukan karakter religius dan sosial peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam.
