Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical research related to explain the indicator of personality traits that consisted of self-efficacy and goal orientation toward accountant’s work performance and accountant’s outcome. This research study discuss about self-efficacy and goal orientation toward accountant’s work performance, using variables: self-efficacy, goal orientation, and work performance. This study focuses on accountants that work in Pontianak area at public accountant office or private business company. Data used are primary data that collected by survey questionnaires. Data are taken by using criteria (Convenience Sampling method). Data are analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis test that consisted of Coefficient of Determinants (R2), F-Test and T-Test (Partial) to find the relation of self-efficacy, goal orientation toward accountant’s work performance. The research’s result show self-efficacy has positive and strong relation to accountant’s work performance, where individuals who are high in self-efficacy will produce a better job outcome and they tend to be more confidence in doing the tasks. Meanwhile for goal orientation that divided into three items which are, learning goal orientation, performance-approach goal orientation, performance-avoidance goal orientation have no relationship with accountant’s work performance. This condition might be caused by the low understanding of accountant to implement and conduct this kind of personality trait in their work place. Keywords: self-efficacy, goal orientation, work performanceAkhtar, N. Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on report data from the Infection Prevention and Control Committee of X Hospital, the incidence of Health Care Associated Infection, namely Surgical Area Infection (SSI), increased in 2022 - 2024. The purpose of this study is to analyse the factors that influence the coordination function of the implementation of the IOP programme at IPCLN in Hospital Jakarta in 2024. This study used an analytical survey research design using a cross sectional approach, the population in this study were all IPCLNs at Hospital X Jakarta in 2024 amounting to 57 people and the sample used a total population which means that all IPCLNs at Hospital X Jakarta in 2024 amounting to 57 people were taken as research subjects. Univariate data analysis was carried out using the three box method, partial bivariate analysis using simple linear regression and simultaneous multivariate analysis using multiple linear regression using the help of the SPSS programme. The results of partial bivariate analysis obtained there is an influence of competence (p value = 0.000 < 0.05), there is an influence of supervision (p value = 0.000 < 0.05), there is an influence of the reward system (p value = 0.000 < 0.05) and there is an influence of awareness on the coordination function of the implementation of the PPI programme at IPCLN (p value = 0.000 < 0.05). The results of multivariate analysis simultaneously obtained there is an effect of competence, supervision, reward system and awareness simultaneously on the coordination function of the implementation of the IPI programme at IPCLN (p value = 0.000 < 0.05) and the most dominant supervision variable affects the coordination function (p value = 0.000 < 0.05). It is expected that IPCLN implementing nurses: improve skills in implementing PPI, take corrective action if the target results of PPI implementation are not in accordance with predetermined targets, give awards to nurses in each unit who excel in implementing PPI based on performance monitoring, openly accept other people's criticism in carrying out IPCLN functions in the field of PPI and try to comply with all applicable rules in carrying out implementation as IPCLN in the field of PPI. Keywords: Competence, Supervision, Reward, Awareness, Coordination Function

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the classification of obesity risk at an early stage using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), which is an important technique in machine learning. PCA is used to reduce the dimensionality of data, maintain important information without losing data, and has the advantage of reducing complexity which usually increases the risk of overfitting. The obesity dataset will be classified using algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting Linear, and XGBoost. Specifically, each algorithm is chosen because of its respective advantages: KNN for nonlinear data, SVM for high-dimensional data, and Random Forest and XGBoost for complex data patterns. Evaluation is carried out using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score to assess the performance of the algorithm. The results show that the Random Forest and XGBoost algorithms provide the best performance in terms of accuracy, especially when all dataset features are used without PCA reduction. This study is expected to be a consideration in determining the best algorithm for obesity classification, supporting early detection, and facilitating decision making in health analysis.

Abstract

Background: Career development for healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, is a crucial aspect of Human Resource Management (HRM) in hospitals. At X Sukabumi Hospital, only 1.8% of the 159 nurses successfully advanced in their careers, despite the majority having more than 10 years of experience. Objective: This study examines the impact of training and work environment on nurses' career development, with clinical competence as a mediating variable. Method: A quantitative associative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed, using a questionnaire for data collection. The sample consisted of 159 nurses, and data were analyzed using the Three-Box Method and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with PLS v.03, incorporating T-tests and F-tests. Result: findings reveal that training, work environment, and clinical competence significantly influence nurses' career development (F-statistic = 86.55 > F-table = 2.81). However, training alone does not directly impact career development (p-value = 0.309), while the work environment has a significant effect (p-value = 0.000). Both training and work environment significantly influence clinical competence (p-value = 0.000), which in turn positively affects career development (p-value = 0.009). Furthermore, clinical competence plays a key mediating role (p-value= 0.018). Conclusion: In conclusion, training and work environment influence nurses' career development through clinical competence at X Sukabumi Hospital

Abstract

"Put On" is the name of a character as well as the title of a comic that was once popular in Indonesia. Put On was published around 1931 by Kho Wan Gie in the mass media. The comic Put On showcases many aspects of Chinese Peranakan culture residing in Jakarta. The Chinese culture depicted in the comic includes language, daily habits, family structure, and the food consumed. In the comic, Put On is portrayed as a mischievous, naive, and childish character, despite being depicted as a large, middle-aged man. This research was conducted using qualitative methods in the form of multimodal analysis and narrative inquiry. Observations from the multimodal analysis method were carried out to examine the graphic narrative elements within the comic, while the narrative inquiry was conducted to gain insight into the reading experience of Put On. The aspects examined in the reading experience include character design (drawing style, physical appearance, and clothing style), language (body gestures and speech), and visualizations of social situations. The results of the research indicate that the Chinese Peranakan identity is not immediately apparent from the design and traits of Put On as the main character. However, it is through his interactions with other characters such as using distinctive language and his inhabit specifi social environments that the comic Put On successfully represents peranakan TiongHoa culture.

Abstract

Barriers to realizing accessibility for women and children in religious courts are still quite significant. Even after five years have passed since Supreme Court Regulation Number 3 of 2017 on Guidelines for Trying Women’s Cases in Conflict with the Law was published. The initial suspicion is that this is still an unresolved problem because law enforcement’s sensitivity to the needs of women and children has yet to be developed. Gender mainstreaming is then encouraged to overcome this. The problem that is the focus of discussion in this research is how to increase the accessibility of justice for women and children in religious courts. The aim is to elaborate and analyze the problem of how to increase the accessibility of justice for women and children in religious courts. The research method used is normative juridical, the research specification is descriptive analysis, and the data collection technique is library research. The research results show that most of the existing obstacles in access to justice and law for women and children after divorce still exist and still need to be resolved. The Supreme Court, as the supervisor of religious courts, has issued several regulations to overcome this problem. In fact, after several of these regulations were issued, difficulties with access to justice continued to occur, primarily related to the implementation of decisions/ executions. Gender mainstreaming by judges and religious court officials is needed to narrow the gap in access to justice and law for women and children after divorce. The urgency is because women and children are vulnerable parties, have limitations, and have extensive obstacles in accessing justice in court. Hence, they require support for convenience, priority access, simplification of business processes, and additional authority for judges in their positions (e.g., officio) when handling cases of women and children.
