Abstract

Abstract: the purpose of this research was to find out whether the use of two stay two stray cooperative learning can improve students comprehension in Japanese adjective of the Japanese language student level I FKIP University of Riau. The research was experimental research which used the matching only posttest control group  design. The object of this research is a Japanese student level I Riau University consisting of 45 samples of the research. Data collection technigue used this research was test and questioner.  Post-test to find out students comprehension in Japanese adjective after two stay two stray cooperative learning was learning process. The result of  post-test were statistically analyted using to formula manually to know the improvement of students’ comprehension after two stay two stray cooperative learning was learning process Based on statistically analyzing data using t formula it was found that <(0.65 1,68) it means that there was not significant difference between students’ who taught by and students two stay two stray cooperative learning was learning process who taught by did not use that learning process. . questioner to find out students respondens and reason after two stay two stray cooperative learning was learning process. Based of questioner result, all of students attract to this learning method because student can improve the learning motivation of student, easly understand subject of learning and gain students memorize. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine how grammatical competence or knowledge of Japanese grammar in particular areas of syntax and semantics at third level students of academic year 2015/2016 and the factors that influence it. In this study, the method used is descriptive method with quantitative approach and data was collected through tests and questionnaires. Results of tests and questionnaires are calculated using a predetermined formula to determine the average and the percentage level of mastery the syntax and semantic aspects as well as the factors that influence it.Based on the calculation results of the test answers, it can be seen that the students have enough knowledge on the level of both the scope of competence of grammatical (syntactic-semantic) for elementary-secondary level. Counting results of the questionnaire answer indicate that there are several factors both internal factors and external factors are not functioning optimally in the process of learning Japanese grammatical.Keywords: grammatical competence, learning Japanese grammar (Bunpou).

Abstract

Abstract: This study sought to determine the results of the questionnaire and interview students regarding the application of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. This study also aims to determine students' responses about the game Mystery Bag that is, a positive thing that obtained by the students, and the constraints faced by the students to the application of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. The response is in the form of fun or learn Japanese after the implementation of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. The population in this study is a class XI student of SMK Accounting Kansai Pekanbaru many as 25 people. Qualitative descriptive methods used in this study so that in this study only explain, describe, and explain the data obtained. From the analysis of the data can be obtained in the form of positive things: 1) based on results of a questionnaire, 92% of respondents replied that students feel to learn Japanese to be more enjoyable after the implementation of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese, 80% of students felt helped by the implementation of the game Mystery Bag can make it easier to memorize vocabulary and increase vocabulary has not been studied, 88% of students can be motivated to learn Japanese with the game Mystery Bag, 100% of students preferred learning Japanese with the game Mystery Bag, and 84% of students agree when the game Mystery Bag applied in learning Japanese. 2) the constraints faced by students when the application of the game Mystery Bag is the pronunciation of the difficult vocabulary, the lack of cohesion in the team and the implementation time of less research time. This study can be used as a learning strategy in Japanese. Based on research results that have been obtained, it is expected to further research to better take into account the timing of the game well.Keywords: vocabulary, positives constraints, game mystery bag

Abstract

Abstract: Google Form is a system in the form of form templates that can be used for the purpose of obtaining user information. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of using Google Forms in Japanese online exams during the Covid-19 pandemic. Online exams are one of the alternatives used during the pandemic to avoid transmission of the corona virus. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to describe the level of effectiveness of the use of the Google Form application in the implementation of the Online exam at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. Sources of research data or respondents were 31 students of class 12 social studies 1 SMAN 9 Pekanbaru who took Japanese lessons and 3 teachers of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru who taught Japanese. From the results of the research analysis of the effectiveness of Google Forms in the Japanese online exam at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, the average value of all aspects is 80% with the effective category.Key Words: Google Form, Online Exam,Covid-19

Abstract

Abstract: Learning a foreign language is not an easy task to do including Japanese language. Kanji as one of the letters in Japanese find difficult to learn by the Japanese language learners. The difficulties include the memorizing, writing, and so forth. To facilitate the learning process, a learning media is needed in supporting the better understanding of the learners. This study explores a media called Quizlet and its purpose is exploring students’ responses toward Quizlet as a media to learn Kanji. This study use descriptive quantitative method with 32 students batch 2019 from Japanese Language Education Department in Universitas Riau as the respondents and the data is collected through a close-ended questionnaire. The result found that 48% students agree and 38% students strongly agree which show that the students approve the use of Quizlet as a media to learn Kanji. Therefore, Quizlet can be used as the learning media for Kanji in the future since it facilitates the students in their learning process of KanjiKey Words: Response, Quizlet, Kanji, Learning media

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to determine the effectiveness of Kahoot in learning kanji for students the class 2021 of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University. In this study, researchers conducted research to find out wheather there was a significant difference in the reading comprehension ability of kanji students in class of 2021 before and after using learning media in the form of Kahoot. The type of research used is pre-experiment with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design pattern. The sample in this study consisted of 35 Japanese Language Education students class of 2021. The learning materials used for the pretest, treatment and posttestwere taken from the kanji lecturer manual, namely the どんどんつながる漢字練習帳book. The results of the research can be concluded that the Kahoot learning media iseffective as a kanji learning media.Keywords: Kahoot Media, Kanji, Experiment

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims todetermine students' perceptions of taking Japanese language lessons using the StudentCentered Learning model. Independent learning strategies by class of 2022 studentswhen learning hiragana letters. The population and sample in this research were classXI IPS 2 students, totaling 32 students. The instrument used in this research was aquestionnaire consisting of 20 statements. Based on the results of the analysis carriedout on questionnaires and assisted by interviews with several students, it was found thatthe students' perceptions of taking Japanese language lessons using the SCL modelwere positive which can be seen from the results of the questionnaire, namely that 12students had very positive perceptions with a percentage of 43.75%, as many as 18Other students had a positive perception with a percentage of 56.25%, and there wereno students who had less positive or negative responses. Apart from that, internalfactors which include interest and attention also had positive results based on students'perceptions, while for external factors there were 3 students who gave less positiveresponses for reasons that were acceptable and needed to be paid attention to in thefuture.Key Words: Student Perceptions, Student Centered Learning, Japanese

Abstract

Abstract: This study is a quantitative research analyzed using statistical anddescriptive methods. The aim of this research is to describe the perceptions of studentsin the Japanese Language Education program at Riau University towards the SakuraTips Podcast as a medium for basic listening learning. The data collection techniqueused in this research is a questionnaire. The sample consists of 16 students from the2021 cohort. Data analysis techniques include statistical and descriptive analysis of thequestionnaire results. The validity analysis of the questionnaire shows that out of 17questions, 13 are valid. The reliability test of the instrument also shows good results,with a reliability coefficient of 0.991, indicating high reliability. Overall, the results ofthis study indicate that the Sakura Tips Podcast has a positive impact on basic listeninglearning in the classroom.Key Words: Media, Podcast, Listening Learning

Abstract

Abstrak: Difficulty learning the meaning of kanji is a difficulty for students in learning the meaning of kanji. This study aims to determine the factors of student difficulties in learning the meaning of kanji. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods. This study uses a questionnaire to collect data sources. The respondents in this study were 36 students from the class of 2022 Japanese Language Education FKIP Universias Riau. The results of this study found that there are three factors that have quite an influence on the difficulty of learning the meaning of kanji in students, namely learning strategy factors, curriculum factors and environmental factors.Keywords: Kanji, Meaning, Difficulty.

Abstract

Abstract: High school students studying Japanese must master Hiragana as a basis for learning. This skill is very important because real Japanese words, such as names of places and things, are written in Hiragana. Hiragana is taught before katakana and kanji, especially in the early stages of learning in high school. Understanding Japanese characters becomes the main goal of teaching, facilitating Japanese language learning. Quasi-experimental was used by the researcher as the methodology in this study. This strategy was used because it suited the characteristics of the research sample, which consisted of a comparison group or control group and an experimental group. The determination of the experimental and control groups was predetermined and not based on random selection, in accordance with the nonequivalent control group design (Sugiyono, 2014). In accordance with the findings of the Mann-Whitney Test, the value of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. This shows that Power point powtoon has a significant influence on the ability of class X students of SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan in memorizing Hiragana letters. The conclusion of this study is that the use of Power point powtoon media has a positive effect on the ability of class X students of SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan in memorizing Hiragana letters. Although there are some data that are not normally distributed, the Mann-Whitney Test shows a significant value, supporting that the influence of the media is quite large. Students who used powtoon showed improvement in articulating the letters and the ability to memorize Hiragana letters.Key words: Power point, Powtoon, Experiment, Hiragana
