Abstract

bstract: This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. thepurpose of this research is to describe Japanese listening teaching methods at LPKJapan Training Center Pekanbaru. the results of this research provide practicalguidance for the development of instructor training programs at LPK Training CenterPekanbaru. Instructors need to be trained to use a variety of teaching methods and tocreate an interactive and supportive learning environment. This training should includetechniques to increase learner engagement, provide constructive feedback, and usetechnology effectively in learning. Thus, LPK Training Center Pekanbaru can continueto improve the quality of Japanese listening teaching and ensure learners get an optimallearning experience. So, it can be concluded that the listening teaching methods carriedout by instructors who teach at LPK Japan Training Center Pekanbaru are quite varied,consisting of audiolingual methods, communicative approach methods, and task-basedlearning methods..Keywords: Listen to, LPK, Japan Training Center

Abstract

Abstract: This study is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to determine the use of independent learning strategies by class of 2022 students when learning hiragana letters. The population and sample in this study are all students from the class of 2022, totaling 38 students. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of 26 statements. Based on the result of the questionnaire analysis, it is known that Barbara Bourke’s use of learning strategies includes 14 strategies, namely association strategies, story strategies, frequency strategies, experience strategies, visual strategies, self-monitoring strategies, compensation strategies, sequence strategies, physical/emotional response strategies, sound strategies, writing sequence strategies, learning planning strategies, learning evaluation strategies, and collaborating strategies with other people.Key Words: Learning Strategies, Hiragana, Japanese

Abstract

Reading anxiety is an emotional and physical symptom that appears when reading. Foreign language reading anxiety has a negative effect on cognitive processes and behavior because in language classes between physical, cognitive, and behavioral anxiety are symptoms that influence each other. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of reading anxiety of students of the Japanese language education study program at Riau University. Respondents in this study were 35 students of the class of 2021 Japanese Language Education Study Program at Riau University. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire using the FLRAS instrument (Saito, 1999). The results showed that as many as 7 students or 20% had low reading anxiety levels, 22 students or 63% had medium levels of anxiety, and 6 students or 17% had high anxiety levels.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is because there are difficulties inlearning Japanese. This study aims to analyze the difficulties in mastering Japanesevocabulary of 11th grade students who take Japanese language interests at SMA N 1Tilatang Kamang. This study uses a quantitative method with a vocabulary testinstrument. The results of the study showed that the average test results of students were below the KKM, where 70.42% of students had incomplete scores with 13 students in the sufficient range and 7 students in the less than perfect range. And 8 students whohad scores above the KKM with good scores. Factors that influence student learningoutcomes are reviewed in terms of the use of media and methods to raise students'interest and enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, the researcher suggests furtherresearch to overcome this problem.Key Words: Learning Outcomes, Japanese Vacubulary, Japanese Language

Abstract

Abstract: This study analyzes students' perceptions of the use of digital flashcardmedia and paper flashcard in mastering Japanese vocabulary. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there are differences in students' perceptions at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru towards the use of digital flashcard media and paper flashcard in mastering Japanese vocabulary. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis method with 27 respondents of class XI IPA 4 SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. Data were obtained through a Likert-based closed questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that overall students' perceptions of digital flashcard were in the positive category while students' perceptions of paper flashcard were in the moderate category. This study concludes that students' perceptions state that the use of digital flashcard media and paper flashcard in helping to master Japanese vocabulary is a fairly good choice and has a good impact on helping students' mastery of Japanese vocabulary, although both digital flashcard media and paper flashcard media have their own advantages and disadvantages.Keywords: Perception, Vocabulary, Japanese, Flashcard, SMAN 9 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to create a comic containing an explanation of thedemonstrative words kore, sore and are. The material for the demonstrative words kore,sore, are is one of the materials that must understand the concept of its use. Therefore, acomic was created that explains the material of the demonstrative words kore, sore, areby providing many examples of their use in everyday life. Comics are a visualcommunication medium that uses images arranged in a storyline to convey informationin an interesting and easy to understand way. This research method is the MultimediaDevelopment Life Cycle (MDLC) method which has 6 stages, namely conceptualizing,designing, collecting materials, manufacturing, testing and distribution. However, thisresearch is limited to the manufacturing stage. In this research, the stages of makingcomics are explained from start to finish. Abstract

Abstract: This study analyzes students' perceptions of using the Obenkyoapplication as a learning medium for Hiragana. This application was chosen because ofits interactive features, such as writing exercises, character recognition, and evaluationtests. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with 32 students ofClass XI Culinary at SMK Tigama Pekanbaru as respondents. Data were collectedthrough a Likert-based questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showedthat students responded positively to the application, with the highest average score onthe flexibility of time and location indicator (3.50). This study concludes that theObenkyo application is effective as a learning medium for Hiragana, despite limitationsin device accessibility and application language guides.Key Words: Students' perception, learning media, Obenkyo application, Hiragana

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Ludo Word Game(LWG) in improving Japanese vocabulary mastery in class XI students of SMK KansaiPekanbaru. Based on the results of the researcher's observations during the Japaneselanguage learning process, it shows that students tend to have poor concentration inlearning, and low vocabulary mastery, which results in low student completion rates.The type of research used in this study is quantitative in the form of True Experimentalwith the research design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data collectionwas carried out by distributing Pre-test Post-test, providing treatment, and conductingdata analysis. The sample in this study amounted to 54 respondents and was determinedbased on the Simple Random Sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, itshows that there is an increase in Japanese vocabulary mastery using Ludo Word Game(LWG) compared to students who were not given treatment with Ludo Word Game. Inaddition, students in the experimental class looked more enthusiastic and active inlearning Japanese. While in the control class that uses conventional learning methods,students looked less enthusiastic during Japanese language learning.Keywords: Effectiveness: Ludo Word Game: Vocabulary Master

Abstract

Abstrak Bagi siswa SMA yang mempelajari bahasa Jepang, penguasaan huruf Hiragana dianggap sebagai dasar yang sangat penting. Keterampilan ini memiliki signifikansi karena banyak kata-kata asli dalam bahasa Jepang, seperti nama tempat dan objek, ditulis dengan huruf Hiragana. Biasanya, pembelajaran Hiragana ditekankan sebelum mempelajari Katakana dan Kanji, terutama pada tahap awal pembelajaran di sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi eksperimental sebagai metodologi. Metode ini dipilih karena sesuai dengan karakteristik sampel penelitian, yang terdiri dari kelompok pembanding atau kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Penentuan kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol sudah ditetapkan sebelumnya dan tidak dipilih secara acak, mengikuti desain nonequivalent control group (Sugiyono, 2014). Berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan Mann-Whitney Test, nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan Power Point Powtoon memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan dalam menghafal huruf Hiragana. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pemanfaatan media Power Point Powtoon memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan dalam menghafal huruf Hiragana. Meskipun beberapa data tidak mengikuti distribusi normal, uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai signifikan, menegaskan bahwa dampak media tersebut cukup besar. Siswa yang menggunakan Powtoon menunjukkan peningkatan dalam mengartikulasikan huruf-huruf dan kemampuan menghafal huruf Hiragana. Top of Form Kata kunci: Hiragana, Power Point, Powtoon , Eksperimen. Abstract High school students studying Japanese are required to master the Hiragana script as a fundamental skill. This proficiency is crucial as native Japanese words, such as place names and objects, are written in Hiragana. Typically, the learning sequence prioritizes Hiragana before delving into Katakana and Kanji, especially in the early stages of high school. The research employed a quasi-experimental approach as its methodology. This method was chosen to align with the characteristics of the research sample, comprising a control group and an experimental group. The assignment of these groups was predetermined and not randomly selected, following a nonequivalent control group design (Sugiyono, 2014). Based on the findings from the Mann-Whitney Test, the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value was 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This indicates that the use of Power Point Powtoon has a significant impact on the ability of 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan to memorize Hiragana characters. In conclusion, this study suggests that the utilization of Power Point Powtoon positively influences the proficiency of 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan in memorizing Hiragana characters. Despite some data not following a normal distribution, the Mann-Whitney Test results show significant value, supporting the notion that the impact of the media is substantial. Students using Powtoon demonstrated improvement in articulating the characters and memorizing the Hiragana script. Keywords : Hiragana, Power Point, Powtoon , Experiment.

Abstract

Makanan cepat saji cukup diminati oleh semua kalangan di Indonesia. Di Kuantan Singingi, Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) belum memiliki ide kreatif untuk membuka peluang usaha dalam bidang makanan cepat saji. Oleh karena itu perlu diadakannya pelatihan pembuatan makanan cepat saji berupa onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang) sebagai alternatif ide yang dapat dikembangkan dalam Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM). Pelatihan pembuatan onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang) dipilih karena bahan baku pembuatan onigiri adalah nasi. Subyek sasaran ibu-ibu PKK penggerak UMKM di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 orang ibu-ibu PKK penggerak UMKM. Materi pengenalan meliputi  definisi, jenis makanan cepat saji, dan sejarah onigiri. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi. Metode sosialisasi digunakan saat memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta pengabdian mengenai varian makanan cepat saji berupa onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang). Setelah sosialisasi dilaksanakan maka dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan membuat onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang) isi abon ikan patin. Pada akhir kegiatan dilaksanakan evaluasi kegiatan dengan angket sebagai instrument pengukuran keberhasilan kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis angket disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil dilaksanakan karena sebanyak 90% dari 20 peserta memahami penjelasan mengenai makanan cepat saji dan merasa terbantu dengan ide pembuatan makanan cepat saji berupa onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang) yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai UMKM. Sebanyak 85% dari 20 peserta berhasil membuat onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang) isi abon patin sesuai dengan yang diajarkan dan 85% dari 20 peserta juga menyatakan mempelajari cara membuat onigiri adalah menarik Meskipun 45% dari 20 peserta masih ragu membuka usaha baru berkaitan dengan makanan cepat saji berupa onigiri (nasi kepal Jepang).
