Abstract

Abstract: This study sought to determine the results of the questionnaire and interview students regarding the application of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. This study also aims to determine students' responses about the game Mystery Bag that is, a positive thing that obtained by the students, and the constraints faced by the students to the application of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. The response is in the form of fun or learn Japanese after the implementation of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese. The population in this study is a class XI student of SMK Accounting Kansai Pekanbaru many as 25 people. Qualitative descriptive methods used in this study so that in this study only explain, describe, and explain the data obtained. From the analysis of the data can be obtained in the form of positive things: 1) based on results of a questionnaire, 92% of respondents replied that students feel to learn Japanese to be more enjoyable after the implementation of the game Mystery Bag in learning Japanese, 80% of students felt helped by the implementation of the game Mystery Bag can make it easier to memorize vocabulary and increase vocabulary has not been studied, 88% of students can be motivated to learn Japanese with the game Mystery Bag, 100% of students preferred learning Japanese with the game Mystery Bag, and 84% of students agree when the game Mystery Bag applied in learning Japanese. 2) the constraints faced by students when the application of the game Mystery Bag is the pronunciation of the difficult vocabulary, the lack of cohesion in the team and the implementation time of less research time. This study can be used as a learning strategy in Japanese. Based on research results that have been obtained, it is expected to further research to better take into account the timing of the game well.Keywords: vocabulary, positives constraints, game mystery bag

Abstract

Abstrak: The purpose of this research is to discover communication strategy used by japanese learners. This research divided the learners onto two groups, Elementary level learners and intermediate level learners. On this research, student on 4th semesters are elementary level learners while 6th semesters students are intermediate level learners; each group will be taken 10 people as object which make 20 people in total. Data collected using roleplay as a form of conversation As results this research found that elementary level learners tend to use intralingual strategy asking for help and intralingual make new world strategy; intermediate level learners tend to use intralingual restructuritation strategy. Generally speaking, intralingual strategy often used by both groups followed by form reduction strategy. One of the reason why that happened is, even though student already understood the language most of them practice their japanse as a tool to communication. This makes the student to feel nervous or doubt what kind of words or grammar they should use next.keywords: communication, strategy, intermediat, elementary, learners, japanese

Abstract

Abstract : This study discusses the writing of Indonesian vocabulary into Japanese katakana are motivated by the many tourists who come to Indonesia, which easily can get information - Indonesian tourism information available on websites today. Website - the website is presented in Japanese, which provides a wide range of offers and explanation of the tourist attractions, cultural, and others - others regarding Indonesia. Issues addressed in this study is how the writing vocabulary Indonesian into Japanese katakana which has a [n] caudate / ng / [η] and which has stemmed over the sounds of the letters h / h / [ħ] In this study, the method used is deskripftif. Data collection techniques will be studied and the data processing starting from finding and collecting websites that offer and explain the nature, culture, and the food contained in Indonesia by using a variety of languages in particular, the websites that use Japanese. Then look for the vocabulary of Indonesian origin, either using the local language and the national language of Indonesia itself by using the technique of choice directly through the discourse contained in this website that has been read and analyzed. The results of this study indicate that the use of writing vocabulary Indonesian into katakana Japanese who have a [n] caudate / ng / [η] and which has the sound of the letter h stemmed on / h / [ħ] influenced by the sound of the Indonesian who later will be adjusted to the sound contained in the Japanese language itself.Keywords : vocabulary, katakana, Japanese

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the use wasei-eigo contained in the book Japanese language intermediate level for foreign learners/chuukyuu. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between gairaigo and wasei-eigo and how to classify wasei-eigo according Shibasaki Tamaoka and Takatori Yuki. This study used qualitative descriptive method. The object of research is the following text books Minna no Nihongo Chuukyuu I and Dekiru Nihongo. From the result of research, author found there are four kinds of wasei-eigo, they are wasei-eigo wich changing the meaning, wasei-eigo which shortening of the word, wasei-eigo which combination of some of the morpheme and wasei-eigo not originating from the English original. In this study there is also a wasei-eigo which changes the meaning as well as shortening the word. The use wasei-eigo most commonly found in the book Japanese language intermediate level for foreign learners/chuukyuu are wasei-eigo which changing the meaning and wasei-eigo which shortening the word. This is because when a foreign language is adapted in Japan, it does not just change the pronunciation, but the word itself could change in meaning and in function.Key Word: Gairaigo, Wasei-eigo, Chuukyuu, Intermediate

Abstract

Cultural studies explores not only various concepts of cultures, tagging, representation, pop cultural, but also ideology, hegemony, text, active audience, subjectivity, discuss issues of subjectivity, identity, ethnicity, and subcultural. This article shows that ijime is a process for Japanese teenagers to became survive for their struggle and pain. Tsukuru is a main character in Murakami’s novel stumbling into her meaningless existence as a human and social community. The social construction of the "uchi and soto”in community system of Japan are not able to eradicate ijime, more ever practice of ijime is thought to be a processes of independence or maturity for a person.

Abstract

Abstract:This research aimed at finding out variation of word form of ganbare expression which is used by Japanese society. The subject in this research was ganbare expression used in Japanese conversation sentences from Japanese dramas called Ichi Rittoru No Namida and Nihonjin No Shiranai Nihongo.The method of this research is literature method and descriptive method.The result shows that in social factor, the ganbare expressionis used from various professions. The ganbare expression used by people around adolescent to adult, when the listener around adolescent to elder. The ganbare expressioncan be used by male or female. Next in situation factor, the ganbare expression often appears in informal conversation.Keywords: Ganbare, Form, Social Factor, Situation Factor

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes and explains the application of Story Photo media in Sakubun I Learning Based on the Japan Foundation Standard Can-Do A1 in the Japanese language education students of FKIP Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine empirically the presence or absence of the influence of the use of Story Photo media on the first sakubun learning based on JF Standard Can-do A1 and to find out whether there were significant differences in the learning outcomes of Level I students after using Story Photo media in Sakubun learning. In this study the authors used weak experimental or weak experiments. This study did not use a comparison group, so it was only carried out in the same class. The test results were processed using SPSS Version 16. The test results in the pretest and posttest of the experimental class had increased, the average pretest score of students was 10.42 while the posttest was 18.39. Thus, the Essay Photo media is effective in improving the learning outcomes of 2018 FKIP Japanese language education students.Key Words: Photo Essay Media, Japan Foundation Standard, Can-Do A1

Abstract

Abstract: The topic discussed in the paper is about the type of declarative illocutionary speech acts based on theories from Searle (1969) and Leech (1993) that found in drama Beautiful Rain. This research attempts to describe kinds of Japanese language declarative illocutionary speech act drama Beautiful Rain and describe the characteristic of declarative illocutionary speech act. The kind of this research is qualitative descriptive research and to find description of character’s speech in drama Beautiful Rain. The method of collecting the data used in this research is uninvolved conversation observation technique. Those method used to find the complete data of declarative illocutionary speech act. The result of this research finds 48 speech consist thing eight kind declarative illocutionary speech act: 14 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘decision’, 8 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘validity’, 4 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘naming’, 5 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘canceling’, 8 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘prohibitive’, 2 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘forgiving’, 3 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘helping’, and 4 declarative illocutionary speech act ‘permitting’. The analysis also find the specific characteristic of declarative illocutionary speech act: performative declarative speech, physical a declarative speech, and each declarative speech has the significant meaning based on the context.Key Words: Japanese Language Declarative Illocutionary Speech Act, Type of DeclarativeIllocutionary, Pragmatic Meaning

Abstract

Absrtact: This study examines the use of Aizuchi in the Ichigo Marshmallow anime. The formulation of the problem analyzed includes the functions and types of aizuchi used in conversations in the Ichigo Marshmallow anime, and examines the equivalence of aizuchi translation in Marshmallow anime. The translation methods used for this research are free translation methods and adaptation translation methods. The results found from the research are after watching the anime Ichigo Marshmallow episodes 1-5, there are 93 words of aizuchi. The most common form of aizuchi is 86 words aizuchishi, and the most functions found are hearing or kiite iru to iu shingou as many as 53 words. The translation methods used by translators are free translation methods and adaptation translation methods. Translators use both methods because both methods produce the translation that is most equivalent to Indonesian. The most frequently occurring translation procedures are the equivalency procedure, the borrowing procedure, and the transposition procedure.Key Words: Aizuchi, Sentence Conversation, the equivalence of translation
