Abstract

Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention is a suitable place to study. The mission of this research is to identify and explain the impact of leadership style, work culture, and discipline on employee productivity. The information in this study was collected through filling out a questionnaire. This research involved 80 participants. Descriptive and quantitative statistics are used to process the data obtained. Multiple regression analysis is used to assess the impact of independent variables on dependent variables, test models and hypotheses. Before analysis, validity and reliability were also checked. Regression analysis shows that employee performance is influenced directly or indirectly by leadership style, work culture and work discipline. In addition, these findings indicate that leadership style, work culture, and work discipline jointly influence employee performance. This shows that to improve employee performance, a good leadership style, positive work culture, and strong work discipline are very important.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction in the retail sector. The background of this study stems from the importance of service quality in improving customer satisfaction, which ultimately influences loyalty and purchasing decisions. In an increasingly competitive retail environment, customer satisfaction plays a pivotal role in shaping consumer behavior. The method used in this study is a survey with a quantitative approach, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 customer respondents across several retail stores. The collected data were analyzed using regression analysis techniques to test the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction variables. The findings of this study indicate that service quality significantly influences customer satisfaction, with service speed and staff friendliness identified as the most dominant factors. These results highlight the essential role of service quality in driving customer satisfaction and suggest that retail businesses should prioritize enhancing these aspects of service to meet customer expectations. The implication of these findings is the importance for retail companies to continually improve service quality as a strategic approach to retain customers and increase their satisfaction. This study contributes to the development of service theory, providing insights into the dynamics between service quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, it offers practical recommendations for managers in the retail sector, emphasizing the need for a customer-focused approach to enhance competitive advantage in the market.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru perhotelan di SMK Jayawisata Semarang dalam bidang pemasaran digital dan service excellence berbasis teknologi, yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh industri perhotelan di era digital. Pemilihan topik ini penting karena sektor perhotelan di Indonesia menghadapi kesenjangan keterampilan digital, yang menghambat pengembangan tenaga kerja yang terampil. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah pelatihan literasi digital, workshop pemasaran digital, dan pengembangan modul pembelajaran terintegrasi. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kompetensi digital guru, dengan skor literasi digital meningkat 85,7% (dari 4,2 menjadi 7,8), serta pemahaman digital marketing meningkat dari 3,5 menjadi 7,9. Sebanyak 88% guru berhasil mengintegrasikan minimal satu alat digital dalam pembelajaran mereka. Program ini berhasil menghasilkan modul pembelajaran terintegrasi "DigitalHotel" dan satu rancangan kampanye digital marketing yang komprehensif. Program ini sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan tenaga kerja yang siap menghadapi kebutuhan industri perhotelan yang semakin berbasis teknologi, serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi di SMK Jayawisata Semarang.

Abstract

Through the application of the SWOT theory, this study examines the leadership concept that Maximus portrays in the movie Gladiator (2000). The objective of this study is to determine the factors that influence the leadership of the primary protagonist, specifically focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The research methodology used in this study is a comprehensive examination of Maximus' behaviors and attributes as depicted in the film. The findings of the analysis indicate that Maximus possesses notable attributes in the realm of moral leadership and courage, which significantly contribute to his achievements within the film. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that he possesses certain limitations, including a tendency for uncertainty and vulnerability. Moreover, Maximus draws on the chances presented by the establishment of friendships and the provision of support from other characters, ultimately enabling him to accomplish his objectives. The principal sources of danger arise from the protagonist's antagonists within the narrative. In summary, the leadership philosophy shown by Maximus in the film Gladiator can be seen as embodying the fundamental elements of the SWOT analysis framework. The findings of this analysis contribute to our comprehension of leadership dynamics within the framework of a cinematic story and offer valuable perspectives on the use of SWOT theory in the examination of fictional personas. The results mentioned above hold significance for comprehending leadership principles within the realm of popular culture and in the context of ordinary society.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of service quality and the implementation of Sharia principles on guest satisfaction at Hotel Namira Syariah in Pekalongan. The population of this study consists of guests who have stayed at Hotel Namira Syariah Pekalongan, with a sample size of 96 respondents. Data collection was done through questionnaires, and the analysis includes validity, reliability, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results of this study indicate that service quality has a positive impact on guest satisfaction, and the implementation of Sharia principles also has a positive influence on guest satisfaction. The F-test shows that service quality and the implementation of Sharia principles have a simultaneous and significant impact on guest satisfaction at Hotel Namira Syariah Pekalongan. In the multiple linear regression analysis, the variable of service quality has a more dominant influence on guest satisfaction (the dependent variable) with a coefficient of 0.351. The findings of this study suggest that to enhance guest satisfaction at Hotel Namira Syariah Pekalongan, there is a need for improvements in both service quality and the implementation of Sharia principles.

Abstract

This study identified 1) the obstacles faced in managing village funds for community welfare in Semowo Village, Pabelan District, Semarang Regency. 2) Management of village funds for community welfare in Semowo Village, Pabelan District, Semarang Regency. This research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sources for this research consisted of 5 village officials in the Semowo Village area, Pabelan District, as well as village government officials. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that program accountability is a part that is very much needed to measure the achievement of goals or results achieved by the government regarding the implementation of Village funds, besides that whether the government has other alternative programs that can provide maximum results and minimal costs.

Abstract

Jembrak In this era of globalization, service is the main key in building positive relationships between service providers and consumers. One of the critical aspects in providing services is attitude or Service Attitude, namely the attitude shown by individuals or organizations in providing services to the community. Service Attitude is not just about providing services, but also creating positive experiences and added value for the communities served. In this context, research and in-depth understanding of Service Attitude becomes very important. Ethics is a branch of philosophy that considers concepts such as morality, values, and human actions. This includes consideration of what is right and wrong, both in relationships between individuals and in social and professional contexts, improving Human Resources (HR) for employees at Kotta Hotel Semarang.
