Abstract

Burns are damage to the body's skin caused by heat trauma or cold trauma (frost bite). The community does not have optimal knowledge about burns, therefore the community does not have optimal knowledge about the first treatment of burns and the community does not have good skills in the first treatment of burns. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about burns, burn first handlers and provide training on first handlers of burns first handlers. The methods used are burn treatment, counseling on the first treatment of burns and training on burn management. The number of respondents was 15 people. From the results of the pretest conducted, it was found that the average respondent had less knowledge and skills in handling burns. Evidenced by the average value of repondents below 7, and only one respondent has a value of 7 which means that they have less knowledge in handling burns. This is likely because respondents already know little about burns. After respondents were given knowledge about burn management, as well as demonstrations related to burn management, there was an increase in knowledge in burn management, although some have not achieved scores in the good category, but all have shown increased knowledge and skills in burn management.

Writing becomes the most challenging skill for the students as it needs more time to develop and tend to raise problem to students. Therefore, project-based learning is offered to solve the problems in writing. Some experts believe that project-based learning (PBL) can provoke the students to get new knowledge through their own project. This research reports on the implementation of project-based learning in teaching writing. The objectives of the research are to know the implementation of project-based learning in elevating the students’ ability on writing and to know the students’ opinion of the implementation of project-based learning in teaching writing. Qualitative was used as a research method and classroom action research as a research design. The participants of the research were third semester students in one interview. Then, data were analyzed based on triangulation. As result, it was found that the implementation during the implementation of this method as they gave positive opinion toward the method used; they project give engaged the students in solving a real problem and answering it. In other word, this project could develop the students’ critical thinking and it could be a meaningful project for them.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension remains a growing global health concern, especially among the elderly and working-age populations, requiring holistic management strategies. Prolanis exercise, a community-based non-pharmacological approach, was introduced to help control blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Objective: This study evaluated its effectiveness at Tanjung Priok Health Center using a quantitative pretest-posttest design without a control group. Fifty-seven randomly selected participants engaged in two 30-minute exercise sessions over one month. Method: Blood pressure was measured before and after, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: Showed no significant differences in systolic or diastolic blood pressure (p-values: 0.763 and 0.071). Most respondents were elderly, female, and unemployed. The study's limitations include low intervention frequency and lack of analysis on psychosocial and cultural factors. Future studies should employ more intensive and culturally sensitive approaches to improve outcomes.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare services is a crucial factor in determining patient satisfaction, particularly in the context of the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) through the BPJS Health (Social Security Agency for Health). This study aims to describe the differences in healthcare service quality between BPJS and non-BPJS patients at Hospital X. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with SERVQUAL theory, data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation of the administrative service process. The results indicate a gap in service delivery, particularly in the dimensions of responsiveness and empathy. Non-BPJS patients tend to receive faster, friendlier, and more personalized service, while BPJS patients experience longer waiting times and less empathetic interactions with staff. These findings indicate that services at Hospital X do not fully reflect the principles of justice and equality. Improvements to the service system and staff competency are necessary to enhance the quality of care for all patients, regardless of insurance status.

Abstract

Densely populated residential areas are highly vulnerable to fire disasters due to both technical factors, such as inadequate electrical installations, and behavioral factors, including unsafe use of fire. In addressing these risks, the capacity of the community—both at the individual and collective levels—plays a critical role in determining preparedness through knowledge and awareness of fire hazards and their potential impacts. This study aimed to examine the contribution of community knowledge and awareness to fire disaster preparedness among residents of Kalibaru Subdistrict, North Jakarta. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed in this research. Using purposive sampling, 306 respondents were selected from an estimated population of 1,300 residents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires consisting of a fire knowledge questionnaire, a fire awareness questionnaire, and a fire disaster preparedness questionnaire, all of which had been tested for validity and reliability. The relationships among the study variables were analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation test. The results demonstrated significant positive correlations between the level of knowledge (r= 0,220, p < 0,001) and the level of awareness (r= 0,662, p < 0,001) with community preparedness for fire disasters. These findings indicate that improving community preparedness requires not only increasing knowledge through information dissemination but also strengthening public awareness to promote more adaptive behaviors toward fire risks. Therefore, community-based interventions that emphasize enhancing both knowledge and awareness are recommended as effective strategies for reducing the risk of fire disasters.

Abstract

Y, perempuan, 62 tahun) dilengkapi dua kasus resume (Ny. E dan Ny. S) sebagai pembanding. Asuhan diberikan melalui sepuluh kali kunjungan rumah (30 April–20 Mei 2026) mengikuti proses keperawatan keluarga Friedman dan kerangka SDKI–SIKI–SLKI, mencakup pengkajian lima tugas kesehatan keluarga sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Isometric handgrip exercise dilaksanakan pada enam sesi. Hasil. Tekanan darah Ny.
