Abstract

Mahasiswa adalah orang yang sedang menjalani proses pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi berkembangan sangat pesat. Mahasiswa juga dituntut untuk mengikuti berkembangan tersebut dalam proses pendidikannya. Stres mahasiswa dapat disebabkan oleh faktor akademik dan non-akademik, seperti faktor persoalan dalam keluarga, faktor ekonomi, faktor tempat sosial dan lain-lain. Jika mahasiswa tidak dapat mengatasi stresnya dengan baik, hal ini akan mengakibatkan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajarnya. Stres merupakan suatu tekanan yang terasa pada diri seorang manusia. Stres pada seseorang mungkin disebabkan adanya konflik antara harapan dan kenyataan yang diinginkan seseorang, baik berupa jasmani maupun rohani. Pengumpulan data tingkat stres pada mahasiswa PSKPS FK ULM dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner MSSQ (Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire) dan data nilai ujian blok mahasiswa PSKPS FK ULM. Penelitian ini merupakan studi cross-sectional. Metode penarikan sampael pada penelitian ini adalah stratified total sampling. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji non-parametrik Spearman’s dengan nilai signifikansi p<0,01. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 141 orang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan mahasiswa yang mengalami tingkat stres ringan sebanyak 16%, tingkat stres sedang sebanyak 50%, tingkat stres berat sebanyak 31% dan stres sangat berat sebanyak 3%. Mahasiswa dengan nilai lulus ujian blok sebanyak 57% dan yang tidak lulus 43%. Berdasarkan uji Spearman’s didapatkan r = -0,251. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang lemah antara tingkat stres dan nilai ujian blok mahasiswa PSKPS FK ULM.

Abstract

In social life, we can observe that children are less fond of foods made from vegetables. The Proportion of Consumption of Fruits/Vegetables Per Day of the Week in Population Age 5 Years According to the Characteristics of South Kalimantan Province, Riskesdas 2018, 34.56% of children aged 5-9 years do not consume vegetables and fruit. Also, for children aged 10-14 years, as much as 27.68% do not consume fruits and vegetables. This figure is high compared to other age groups. When the service was carried out, the average Pretest score was 8.21, which means that the students had a fairly good knowledge of healthy living education, and the average Post-Test was 8.5. Based on this value, there is an increase in the average knowledge of students after being given counselling. It is known that respondents' pre-test and post-test scores are generally not distributed because the significant value is less than 0.05 (Pre-test Sig Value = 0.001 <0.05 and Post-test Sig Value = 0.001 <0.05). So that the test is carried out with the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, it is known that the value of Sig (0.001) <0.05, namely Ho, is rejected, which means that there is a significant difference between the knowledge of the respondents before and after being given educational materials about the benefits of green mustard in preventing non-communicable diseases.  ---  Dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat dapat kita mengamati, bahwa anak-anak kurang menggemari makanan yang berbahan sayur. Proporsi Konsumsi Buah/Sayur Per Hari Dalam Seminggu Pada Penduduk Umur ≥ 5 Tahun menurut Karakteristik Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, Riskesdas 2018, terdapat 34,56% anak usia 5-9 tahun yang tidak mengkomsumsi sayur dan buah. Dan juga anak usia 10-14 tahun sebanyak 27,68% tidak mengkomsumsi buah dan sayur. Angka yang tinggi disbanding kelompok umur lainnya. Saat dilaksanakan pengabdian didapatkan nilai rata-rata Pretest sebesar 8,21 yang artinya siswa siswa memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup baik mengenai edukasi hidup sehat, kemudian rata-rata Pos-ttest adalah sebesar 8,5. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut terdapat peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan siswa setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Diketahui bahwa baik nilai pre-test maupun post-test responden tidak berdistribusi normal karena nilai signifikan yang kurang dari 0,05 (Nilai Sig Pre test = 0,001 < 0,05 dan Nilai Sig Post test = 0,001 < 0,05). Sehingga pengujian dilakukan dengan Uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan hasil dari Uji Wilcoxon diketahui bahwa nilai Sig (0,001) < 0,05 yaitu Ho ditolak yang artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan responden pada saat sebelum dan sesudah diberikan materi edukasi mengenai manfaat sawi hijau dalam mencegah penyakit tidak menular.

Abstract

Abstract: Information management in the learning process is influenced by learning style. Practical activities can support understanding of learning theory, for example anatomy practicum. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between learning styles, especially the VARK method, and anatomy practicum exam scores in medical students. This research uses an analytical observational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was PSKPS FKIK ULM medical student class of 2022. Learning styles were obtained using the VARK questionnaire and collecting anatomy practical exam scores. Statistical analysis of the chi-square test in SPSS software to test the relationship between categorical variables. The results showed that among the 159 participants, 35.2% had a unimodal learning style and 64.8% had a multimodal learning style. As many as 96.2% of participants had a kinesthetic learning style, while 3.8% did not. The overall pass rate for the anatomy practicum exam was above 50%, with the highest pass rates observed among samples with multimodal and kinesthetic learning styles. Hypothesis testing using the Fisher test showed that there was a significant relationship between kinesthetic learning style and anatomy practical exam scores (p=0.008). In conclusion, this study shows a relationship between kinesthetic learning style and anatomy practical exam scores in medical students. Keywords: learning style, VARK, anatomy practicum, academic performance. Abstrak: Pengelolaan informasi pada proses pembelajaran dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar. Kegiatan praktikum dapat menunjang pemahaman teori pembelajaran, misalnya praktikum anatomi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya belajar, khususnya metode VARK, dan nilai ujian praktikum anatomi pada mahasiswa kedokteran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampelnya adalah mahasiswa kedokteran PSKPS FKIK ULM angkatan 2022. Gaya belajar didapatkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner VARK dan pengumpulan nilai ujian praktikum anatomi. Analisis statistik uji chi-square pada software SPSS untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel kategorikal. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa di antara 159 peserta, 35,2% memiliki gaya belajar unimodal dan 64,8% memiliki gaya belajar multimodal. Sebanyak 96,2% peserta memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik, sedangkan 3,8% tidak. Tingkat kelulusan keseluruhan untuk ujian praktikum anatomi di atas 50%, dengan tingkat kelulusan tertinggi diamati di antara sampel yang memiliki gaya belajar multimodal dan gaya belajar dengan kinestetik. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji fisher menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar kinestetik dengan nilai ujian praktikum anatomi (p=0,008). Kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan antara gaya belajar kinestetik dan nilai ujian praktikum anatomi pada mahasiswa kedokteran. Kata-kata kunci: gaya belajar, VARK, praktikum antomi, capaian prestasi

Abstract

Abstract: Learning style has an important role in the learning process. Student learning achievement can be seen in the Grade Point Average (GPA). The main objective of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between learning style and GPA. This study used an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional research design. To determine student learning styles carried out by filling The VARK Questionnaire. The results are divided into 2 categories. Categorized as unimodal if one of the four learning styles is dominant, either visual, auditory, reading/writing, or kinesthetic and categorized as multimodal if having more than one learning styles. Student GPA data was obtained from the medical education unit of PSKPS FKIK ULM. The number of samples in this study was 215. The distribution of this research sample is unimodal learning style (49.3%) and multimodal learning style (50.7%) then for student GPA for < 2.75 (18.1%) and ≥ 2.75 (81.9%). Based on the chi-square test, obtained p = 0.011. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between learning styles and student GPA. Keywords: learning style, VARK, Grade Point Average, learning achievement, the VARK questionnaire. Abstrak : Gaya belajar mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Prestasi belajar mahasiswa dilihat dalam Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan IPK. Menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian potong lintang (cross-sectional). Penentuan gaya belajar mahasiswa dilakukan dengan mengisi The VARK Questionnaire. Hasil pengisian terbagi menjadi 2 kategori. Dikategorikan sebagai gaya belajar unimodal jika salah satu dari keempat gaya belajar yang dominan yaitu visual, auditori, reading/writing, atau kinestetik dan multimodal jika memiliki lebih dari satu gaya belajar. Data IPK mahasiswa didapatkan dari medical education unit PSKPS FKIK ULM. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 215. Sebaran sampel penelitian ini adalah gaya belajar unimodal (49,3%) dan gaya belajar multimodal (50,7%) kemudian untuk IPK mahasiswa adalah IPK < 2,75 (18,1%) dan IPK ≥ 2,75 (81,9%). Berdasarkan uji chi-square, didapatkan p = 0,011. Kesimpulannya adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan IPK mahasiswa. Kata-kata kunci: gaya belajar, VARK, Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, prestasi belajar, kuesioner gaya belajar VARK.

Abstract

Abstract: Block exams are held at the end of each block with the aim of evaluating learning outcomes. Learning style is one of the factors that influences a person's learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the correlation between learning styles and the block exam scores of PSKPS FKIK ULM students class of 2020. This research uses observational analysis methods and a cross-sectional design. Subjects in the study were selected using a total sampling technique according to the research exclusion and inclusion criteria. Primary data was taken using the VARK questionnaire and secondary data was obtained from students' block exam scores. The data analysis used was the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that the block value for complaints related to the musculoskeletal system was 27%, for the block for complaints related to the hemopoietic and lymphoreticular systems it was 48%, and for the block complaints related to the urogenital system was 35.5%. The majority of students study using a multimodal learning style as much as 69.7%, while 30.3% use a unimodal learning style. From the results of the bivariate analysis, it was found that the p-value was > 0.05, so it was concluded that there was no correlation between learning style and the block exam scores of PSKPS FKIK students at Lambung Mangkurat University class of 2020. Keywords: learning style, VARK, block exam. Abstrak: Ujian blok diadakan di setiap akhir dari sebuah blok dengan tujuan evaluasi hasil belajar. Gaya belajar merupakan salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh pada hasil belajar seseorang. Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan mengetahui hubungan gaya belajar dengan nilai ujian blok mahasiswa PSKPS FKIK ULM angkatan 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis observasi dan desain cross-sectional. Subjek pada penelitian dipilih melalui teknik total sampling sesuai kriteria eksklusi dan inklusi penelitian. Data primer diambil menggunakan kuesioner the VARK dan data sekunder didapat dari nilai ujian blok mahasiswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil nilai Blok Keluhan Berkaitan dengan Sistem Muskuloskeletal adalah 27%, pada Blok Keluhan Berkaitan dengan Sistem Hemopoetik dan Limforetikuler adalah 48%, dan Blok Keluhan Berkaitan dengan Sistem Urogenital adalah 35,5%. Mahasiswa belajar mayoritas menggunakan gaya belajar multimodal sebanyak 69,7%, sementara gaya belajar unimodal sebanyak 30,3%. Dari hasil analisis bivariat didapatkan p-value > 0,05, sehingga disimpulkan tidak ada hubungan antara gaya belajar terhadap nilai ujian blok mahasiswa PSKPS FKIK Universitas Lambung Mangkurat angkatan 2020. Kata-kata kunci: gaya belajar, VARK, ujian blok

Abstract

Abstract: Learning style is a combination of various ways a person learns to obtain, organize and process the knowledge and information they obtain. Students must know the right learning style so that the learning process can be optimal and get the best results. The aim of the research is to analyze the correlation of learning styles with students' tutorial grades. This research uses analytical observation methods and a cross sectional design. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique. Data collection techniques include filling out The VARK Questionnaire and PBL’s score Complaints Block Relating to the Musculoskeletal System. The results showed that of the 152 samples, learning styles were unimodal (30.3%) and multimodal (69.7%). The average value of unimodal tutorials was 81.67 ± 1.19, while multimodal was 81.42 ± 1.30. The highest value is 83.88, while the lowest value is 77. Based on the Mann-Whitney test, the p-value results are 0.383>0.05, so it can be concluded that there is no difference in learning style and PBL. Keywords: learning style, VARK, Problem Based Learning Abstrak: Gaya belajar merupakan gabungan dari berbagai cara belajar seseorang untuk mendapatkan, mengatur, dan memproses pengetahuan dan informasi yang didapatkannya. Gaya belajar yang tepat harus diketahui oleh mahasiswa agar proses belajar dapat optimal dan mendapat hasil terbaik. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis korelasi gaya belajar terhadap nilai tutorial mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik obervasi dan desain cross sectional. Sampel dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pengisian The VARK Questionnaire dan data nilai tutorial (PBL) Blok Keluhan Berkaitan dengan Sistem Muskuloskeletal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 152 sampel, gaya belajar unimodal (30,3%) dan multimodal (69,7%). Rata-rata nilai tutorial unimodal 81,67±1,19, sedangkan multimodal 81,42±1,30. Nilai tertinggi adalah 83,88, sementara nilai terendah 77. Abstract

Background: World Health Organization (2020) states that the number of smokers aged 15 years and over in the world is 991 million people. The highest number of smokers in ASEAN is in Indonesia (46.16%). Riskesdas South Kalimantan (2018) states that the prevalence of smokers in South Kalimantan is 24.42%. The highest prevalence of smoking in South Kalimantan Province in 2018 with a frequency of every day was in Kotabaru Regency at 27.37%, Hulu Sungai Tengah at 22.03%, and Banjar Regency at 20.88%. Aims: Explain and analyze the effect of pictorial health warnings on cigarette packaging on fear and intensity of smoking cessation in Kotabaru, Hulu Sungai Tengah, and Banjar districts. Method: The study used a cross-sectional design. Accidental sampling was used with a sample of 164 Kotabaru districts, 112 Hulu Sungai Tengah samples, and 224 Banjar samples. The research instrument was a modified questionnaire from WHO STEPwise and previous research which were then tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was univariate and bivariate analysis using linear regression analysis. Results: There was a relationship between pictorial health warnings on cigarette packaging with fear (p-value = 0.0001, r = 0.731) and smoking cessation intensity (p-value = 0.0001, r = 0.771). There is a positive influence between pictorial health warnings on cigarette packaging on fear by 53.4% and smoking cessation intensity by 59.4%. Conclusion: There is an influence between pictorial health warnings on cigarette packaging on fear and smoking cessation intensity in Kotabaru, Hulu Sungai Tengah, and Banjar districts.

Abstract

Stable angina pectoris (SAP) is an imbalance that occurs when myocardial oxygen need increases disproportionally, causing complaints of chest pain. Uncontrolled SAP can lead to a complication of heart failure (HF). Polypharmacy treatment frequently given to SAP patients with HF complications can be potentially detrimental for them. This study aims to determine the risk of adverse drug-drug interactions in SAP patients with HF complications prescribed polypharmacy. This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional approach using retrospective data from medical record data from 2020-2021 among hospitalized patients in cardiology ward Ulin General Hospital, Banjarmasin. Potential drug-drug interactions were determined using the Lexicomp tool from the UpToDate® site. Prevalence Odds Ratio (POR) and 95% Confidence Interval (95%CI) were determined using the Logistic Regression test at the 95% level of confidence. Twenty-four SAP patients with HF were recruited. According to its potential interactions, the most interactions were under category C (82.6%), followed by category B (11.3%) and category D (6.0%). Based on its level of severity, the most common was moderate (77.4%), followed by minor (13.0%) and major (9.5%). SAP patients with HF who were not prescribed polypharmacy had a lower risk of adverse drug-drug interactions by 64.7% compared to polypharmacy users, although it was not statistically difference (crude POR 0.353, 95% CI; 0.360-3.421; p-value = 0.369). This study shows that there is a tendency of lower risk of adverse drug-drug interactions in SAP patients with HF complication prescribed polypharmacy compared to those without polypharmacy, but the association is not statistically significant.

Abstract

Indonesia continues to face nutritional problems that impact the lost generation. The prevalence of stunting, based on data from the Provincial Health Office of South Kalimantan, has decreased from 34.13% (2021) to 31.12% (2022). Similarly, the prevalence of underweight has also decreased from 24.3% (2021) to 22.1% (2022). If nutrition status data is not presented in real-time, it will result in slow handling of nutrition cases. Therefore, the community service team offered assistance in creating a nutrition status dashboard using Google Studio. The target audience for this activity was the staff and nutrition program managers at the Provincial Health Office of South Kalimantan. The community service method used was training and evaluation through pre and post-tests related to the assistance in creating the nutrition status dashboard. The results of both pre-test and post-test scores of the respondents did not follow a normal distribution due to the p-value being less than 0.05. Consequently, the Wilcoxon test was used, which showed a significant difference between the respondents' knowledge before and after receiving the material on creating a nutrition status dashboard at the Provincial Health Office of South Kalimantan.

Abstract

Introduction: Low back pain can change the daily life and quality of life of the elderly. This study aims to determine the quality of life of elderly patients with and without low back pain at Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin. Methods: This study used an analytical observational approach with a cross‑sectional design. Sampling was through a purposive sampling approach according to the inclusion criteria. The study population was 100 patients aged 60 and over, half of the population with low back pain. The Indonesian versions of the WHOQoL‑BREF and SF‑36 questionnaires were used as a research instrument. Results: The results showed significant differences in the quality of life in the elderly patients with low back pain in 4 domains, namely physical functioning (p = 0.006), role limitations due to physical health (p = 0.023), social functioning (p = 0.009), and general health (p < 0.001), with median of each domain in order are 62,5 (0–100), 50 (0–100), 75 (0–100), and 50 (4–100). No significant differences in other domains in the WHOQoL-BREF and SF-36 questionnaire. Conclusion: Low back pain affects the life of elderly patients at Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin, which was different in 4 aspects, namely physical functioning, role limitations due to physical health, social functioning, and general health.
