Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze and describe the application of effective and correct scientific article writing principles within the context of reporting accounting research findings. The importance of adhering to these principles lies in enhancing the quality, credibility, and readability of articles for acceptance in reputable scientific publications. Specifically, this research focuses on the standard article structure (Title, Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion), citation and referencing techniques, and the appropriate writing style for the accounting discipline. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach. Primary data were collected through an in-depth literature review of various journal writing guidelines, published accounting scientific articles, and research methodology textbooks. Subsequently, a comparative analysis was conducted on the adherence to writing principles in a sample of published accounting articles. The results of this study are expected to serve as a practical guide for accounting researchers and students in composing their scholarly works.

Abstract

Perempuan sering dianggap lemah dan selalu bergantung pada orang lain dalam kehidupan, anggapan tersebut membentuk isu kesetaraan gender dan ketidakadilan terhadap perempuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat kajian feminisme eksistensialis Simone De Beauvoir pada novel “Cewek!!!” karya Esti Kinasih, secara jelas untuk menemukan bentuk-bentuk eksistensi yang dilakukan tokoh perempuan pada novel tersebut. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif deskrtif, dimana sumber utama data penelitian ini ialah novel “Cewek!!!” karya Esti Kinasih. Adapun hasil analisis ini ditemukan berbagai bentuk eksistensi tiga tokoh perempuan dalam novel tersebut yaitu dalam aspek intelektual, kemandirian, dan keberanian. Abstract

This study explores the portrayal of women's existence in the 2023 series  Gadis Kretek through the lens of Simone de Beauvoir's existentialist feminism. The narrative follows Dasiyah, a woman striving for autonomy and self-determination within the patriarchal constraints of the kretek industry and broader societal norms. Employing a descriptive-qualitative analysis, this research adopts an existentialist feminist framework to examine the series. Data   were   obtained   through   observation   of   the   series   and literature review relevant to the concept of women's existence in feminist theory. The analysis is conducted by examining how the female characters in Gadis Kretek are constructed in the narrative and how they  negotiate their existential freedom. The results show that Dasiyah experiences various forms of limitations due to the patriarchal social structure, but she also shows resistance by asserting her existence as a free and independent individual. Her struggle reflects de Beauvoir's idea of how women can escape from the status of the Other and achieve authentic existence.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of Indonesian language errors on the quality of academic writing among students of the Office Administration Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Medan. As future professionals, students are required not only to master administrative competencies but also to develop the ability to express ideas in clear and correct academic writing. Academic writing plays a vital role in higher education, as it reflects students’ logical thinking, systematic reasoning, and professional skills. However, preliminary observations indicate that many students still commit frequent errors in the use of Indonesian, including spelling, diction, sentence structure, and cohesion–coherence, all of which contribute to a decline in the overall quality of their academic texts. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected from 30 students selected through purposive sampling. Two research instruments were used: a questionnaire consisting of 15 items designed to measure students’ frequency of language errors, and a rubric-based assessment of their academic writing, which evaluated five aspects: spelling, diction, sentence structure, cohesion-coherence, and academic style. The findings revealed that most students (60%) fell into the moderate error category, while 13.3% belonged to the low-error category and 26.7% to the high-error category. The average score of academic writing quality was 51.4, showing considerable variation among individuals. Pearson’s correlation analysis indicated a very strong and significant negative relationship between language errors and academic writing quality (r = -0.88, p < 0.01). The results suggest that the higher the frequency of language errors, the lower the quality of students’ academic writing. Therefore, strengthening students’ mastery of Indonesian linguistic rules is essential in improving their academic performance. Structured training in academic writing and systematic feedback from lecturers are strongly recommended to enhance students’ competence.

Abstract

Penguasaan tata bahasa Indonesia sangat penting dalam penulisan laporan penelitian, khususnya bagi mahasiswa administrasi perkantoran, karena mereka dituntut untuk menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang jelas, terstruktur, dan profesional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana penguasaan tata bahasa digunakan dalam penyusunan laporan penelitian serta mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi mahasiswa selama proses tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi laporan penelitian mahasiswa. Data dianalisis secara tematik melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelemahan utama mahasiswa terletak pada struktur kalimat, konsistensi penggunaan bahasa baku, dan tanda baca. Semua kelemahan tersebut berdampak pada kejelasan dan kredibilitas laporan. Sebaliknya, terlihat bahwa kualitas tulisan mahasiswa meningkat dengan adanya bimbingan guru dan penggunaan referensi kebahasaan. Penelitian ini memperkuat pemahaman tentang pentingnya mengintegrasikan keterampilan menulis ilmiah dengan kemampuan tata bahasa, serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan kurikulum dan strategi pembelajaran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penguasaan tata bahasa yang baik sangat penting untuk menghasilkan laporan penelitian yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian selanjutnya disarankan melibatkan lebih banyak responden dan menggunakan metode triangulasi untuk memperkuat temuan penelitian.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to develop interactive e-learning content based on the H5P framework in Indonesian Language and Literature Artificial Intelligence lectures at the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Medan with the formulation of the problem of how the content development takes place and how the content is feasible. Methodology: This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model research procedure (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Main Findings: E-learning based on the H5P framework in Indonesian Language and Literature Artificial Intelligence lectures is very effective. Validation by media experts showed a very good assessment (89.58% for episode 1 and 97.91% for episode 2). Validation by material experts also showed similar results (93.18% for episode 1 and 97.72% for episode 2). The interactive content developed in the form of video podcasts was able to improve student understanding and engagement through interactive quizzes and simulations. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study develops interactive learning content based on H5P in a new context, namely the Artificial Intelligence course for Indonesian Language and Literature.
