Abstract

This community service  aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of a reasoning training program for optimizing the UTBK at SMAN 1 Parepare. The service involved 40 students from the twelfth grade who served as participants in the training program. The community service method used was quasi-experimental with a single-group pretest-posttest control design. The data analysis showed that the reasoning training program was effective in improving the UTBK results. There was a significant improvement in the average scores of the group that underwent the training compared to the control group. Additionally, the training program also assisted students in developing analytical and critical skills, which had a positive impact on their overall academic performance. This community service concludes that the implementation of the reasoning training program plays a crucial role in optimizing the UTBK at SMAN 1 Parepare. The results of this service contribute significantly to efforts to enhance student preparation for facing the UTBK and support their success in achieving better results in college admissions.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve students' quantitative abilities, especially in the SNBT test. The method of implementing this service used training, test simulations and discussions, as well as tips and strategies for solving quantitative ability questions. Assessment tools used during the activity included a pretest, posttest, and questionnaire. The analytical technique to assess the activity's success involved comparing the outcomes of the pre-test and post-test administered. The Results showed that there was an average increase in the scores of the participants' Quantitative Skills test. Overall, the average percentage increase in the participants' Quantitative Skills test scores was 13% from the pre-test scores. It can be concluded that the quantitative skills training provided positively enhanced the student's knowledge and skills, particularly in solving scholastic problems related to the Quantitative Skills test for the upcoming SNBT. Based on the survey, 53.1% of participants were highly satisfied with the conducted training activities and agree that such activities should be continued.

Abstract

This community service aimed to empower high school students by providing education on financial planning at Senior High School 5 Pare pare, South Sulawesi. The methods employed included interactive workshops, presentations, and hands-on activities designed to enhance students’ understanding of financial literacy, budgeting, and savings. Pre-test and post-test assessments were administered to measure the participants' financial literacy levels before and after the intervention. The results demonstrated a significant increase in students’ awareness and knowledge of managing personal finances, as reflected in post-workshop surveys and group discussions. Participants showed an improved ability to plan and prioritize their financial goals, contributing to their overall preparedness for future financial challenges. This initiative effectively promoted responsible financial behavior among students.

Abstract

Kemampuan guru dalam menyusun modul pembelajaran secara mandiri dan profesional merupakan kompetensi penting dalam menunjang kualitas pembelajaran. Sayangnya, sebagian besar guru masih bergantung pada perangkat lunak pengolah kata konvensional yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam penataan dokumen secara konsisten. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru di SMA IT Shohwatul Is’ad dalam menyusun modul pembelajaran menggunakan LaTeX, sebuah perangkat lunak penyusunan dokumen berbasis kode yang banyak digunakan dalam lingkungan akademik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang menekankan partisipasi aktif guru dalam setiap siklus: identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, pelaksanaan aksi, refleksi, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 guru dari berbagai bidang studi dan dilaksanakan selama tiga sesi pelatihan intensif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikan LaTeX, menggunakan template standar, dan menyusun modul pembelajaran secara mandiri. Evaluasi akhir menunjukkan 85\% peserta berhasil menyusun draft modul dengan struktur sistematis dan tampilan profesional. Kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya literasi digital dan membentuk komunitas belajar LaTeX di lingkungan sekolah.
