Abstract

The MotoGP event will be held in Indonesia located in Mandalika, Lombok. As Indonesia is hosting world-class event, it is an honor to be able to handle big event and earn achievement from that. With the aid of Instagram as social media, Mandalika Circuit actively promotes their campaign and information around MotoGP; thus, it is one of the key to further understand Indonesia diplomacy dynamics. Through @themandalikagp Instagram account using Saussure’s Semiotic Analysis, we can identify their sign and signifier then examine the relationship of it. The importance of Saussure’s Semiotic Analysis will expand new diplomatic perspective for Mandalika Circuit event and its potential.

Abstract

The event sector is synonymous with project-based work, which has no work rhythm, requiring event workers to choose higher endurance than those who work in offices. This study aims to identify the level of job satisfaction concerning the level of perspective on the turnover intention of event workers in Palembang. This quantitative research is in the form of survey research with a total sample of 75 event workers divided into five categories of work scope. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression by identifying the effect of four variables on job satisfaction: financial satisfaction, physical satisfaction, social satisfaction, and psychological satisfaction on turnover intention. The descriptive statistics research results show that three variables fall into the unfavorable category: financial satisfaction, psychological satisfaction, and turnover intention. In contrast, other variables fall into the excellent category. Analysis through inferential statistics shows that all job satisfaction variables influence turnover intention. While partially, two of the four job satisfaction variables, namely physical and psychological satisfaction, impact turnover intention, where psychological satisfaction has the most significant influence value. Judging from the correlation, the dependent variable, job satisfaction, has a strong relationship with the level of turnover intention. In contrast, in terms of determination, job satisfaction impacts 71.1 percent of the turnover intention movement of event workers.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of sport event rafting as a community-based special interest tourism product considering that Lahat Regency will host the Provincial Level Sports Week in South Sumatra in 2023. This study aims to determine the form of planning, implementation, evaluation and strategy owned by community-based sport rafting event in Lahat Regency in managing it as a Sports Tourism-based tourist destination. The method used is the mix method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative. For the quantitative approach, data collection techniques were used using random sampling with accidental sampling, while for the qualitative approach, data collection techniques were used using non-probability sampling with accidental sampling. For representative results, researchers took a number of 35 respondents. Analysis of the data used through the Miles and Huberman models. To test the validity using the triangulation method. Based on the results of the study, the SWOT analysis shows that the results of external and internal analysis obtained a combination of SO/strength and opportunity to get the highest score with a total value of 6.60, it is meaning that the determination of priority program indicators can be carried out by referring to mapping and encouraging special access from toll roads so that tourists get ease of accessibility to enjoy the natural landscape and tourist spots, especially rafting in Lahat Regency, as well as making river zoning for sports/competition and for family rafting. Abstract

Sports tourism is booming today fueled by the increasing awareness of health and fitness around the world, resulting in a wide array of sporting events and outdoor recreational activities. One of them is Bicycle tourism, which is developing into one of the increasingly recognized tourist activities. Although it is well-known globally, it has not been packaged well in tourist villages, this potential has not been adequately utilized by the people of tourism villages, furthermore, the completeness of data on the potential of tourism products is also an obstacle to the development of Bicycle tourism product models. This research aims to develop bicycle tourism itinerary products based on tourism village potential prepared with local communities in the Burai tourism village. This research uses a combination method or mixed method with a sequential explanatory design, while the data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman model steps which are interactive, namely, data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Then the population is tourists visiting tourist villages and the resource persons/informants are: (1) Community Drivers of the tourism sector; (2) Local authorities; and (3) tourists. Data was obtained quantitatively and sampled using the Random Sampling technique. The result of this research is the creation of a light-category and medium-category Bicycle tourism development model and becomes a packaging solution for tourist bicycle products in tourist villages that increase people's income in tourist villages. This research contributes to the form of diversification of tourism products in tourism villages, so that natural tourism attractions, cultural tourism and artificial tourism can collaborate into products that have been made so that the community and further research can be developed on the potential absorption of informal labour that may arise based on needs found in the field.
