Abstract

Sudoku Puzzles is one of the educational game learning media which has advantages, one of which is being able to develop ways of reasoning, thinking correctly according to logic. One of the chemical concepts that requires this medium is the Periodic System of the Elements material. This study aims to analyze the validation test of Sudoku Puzzles learning media products on the Elements Periodic System material and describe the appearance of Sudoku Puzzles learning media products on the Elements Periodic System material. The stages of this research use the Design Base Research (DBR) method to develop Sudoku Puzzles learning media on the Elementary Periodic System material as a learning process that can challenge students through a game. This research procedure uses the ADDIE model consisting of several stages including Analysis, Design, and Development. Based on theinstruments used, namely flowcharts and storyboards, the Sudoku Puzzles learning media was made, then validation tests were carried out on three validators, namely media experts, learning experts and content experts. The validation result data shows a value of 0.89, thus the Sudoku Puzzles learning media is declared valid and can be used as a tool in the learning process of the Elements Periodic System material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in students' critical thinking skills after implementing SETS-based worksheets (science, environment, technology, society) on colloid material. In this study, the method chosen was pre-experiment and the research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design which was carried out without a comparison group. The research subjects were 37 fourth semester students. The instruments used were worksheets and an eight-item essay test. The results show that the n-gain value obtained is 0.41, including the medium category. Indicators of critical thinking skills that have the highest value are identifying assumptions (79.05) and the lowest asking and answering indicators (28.37). Thus, SETS-based LK has an effect on the critical thinking skills of students.

Abstract

Banana peels contain starch, which is a natural polymer, so it can be used as a base for bioplastics. The purpose of this study is to describe the appearance of product results that have been tested for validation, development of project-based worksheets. Project-based worksheets can be used in practicum learning activities. This research method uses DBR (Design Based Research), with four stages, namely analysis, product design development, product testing, product validation. The experimental procedure in this study was carried out in two stages, namely the stage of making starch flour, the stage of making bioplastic films. The validation test stage is carried out by validators who are experts in the field of learning media and synthetic polymer materials. The results of the validation test mean that the rcount of the worksheet displays is 0.905, the content of the worksheet material is 0.815, and the language in the worksheet is 0.866. This is a project-based worksheet every aspect of the worksheet assessment is declared valid, and this project-based worksheet is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the appearance of android-based virtual lab learning media on thermochemical material, analyze the results of the validation test, and the feasibility of the media. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The virtual lab display consists of eight main menus, namely pretest, theoretical basis, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), procedures, practicum, posttest, compilers and basic competencies. The virtual lab presents thermochemistry practicums related to everyday life which are equipped with animations, pictures and questions. Then the user must fill in the pretest to find out the initial understanding, follow a series of practicums and fill out the posttest to find out their understanding. Research data information can be seen in the compiler menu. The results of the validation test were obtained with an average value of 89.32%. The results of the feasibility test obtained an average value of 90.25%. Based on the results of product validation and feasibility tests, this virtual lab is suitable for use in the learning process
