Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP Negeri 3 Gaung. Manfaat penelitian adalah memberikan informasi dan manfaat dalam pengembangan keilmuan untuk kedepannya dalam dunia pendidikan matematika khususnya yang berkaitan dengan model pembelajaran CORE serta pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Gaung yang terdiri dari kelas VII A dan VII B dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berjumlah 54 peserta didik. Instrumen  pengumpulan data yaitu tes berupa soal pretest-posttest. Adapun indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 3 yang meliputi; 1) Kemampuan koneksi antar topik matematika; 2) Kemampuan koneksi antar topik matematika dengan bidang studi ilmu lain; 3) Kemampuan koneksi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan uji Independent sample t-Test. Terdapat selisih nilai rata-rata pretest kelas kontrol yaitu 23,15 dan kelas eksperimen 20,68 dan selisih nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen yaitu 72,22 dan kelas kontrol 53,39. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji Independent sample t-Test diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) < ? dengan α = 0,05 dan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) =0,003 (0,003 < 0,05). Hal ini berarti H0 ditolak, artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik SMP Negeri 3 Gaung.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of educational games with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the learning process which is aimed at improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VII MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. The basic thinking in this research starts from of mathematical concepts is limited as shown through daily test results data in class VII.5, where only 48.65% of students achieved Essential Graduation Criteria during the learning activities of  87. Research is a The implementation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) took place over two cycles, each of which involved four main steps: preparation, action, observation, and reflection.The research instruments included teacher and student observation sheets and a mathematical concept understanding test. The PBL model was combined with educational game media in the form of traditional games such as snakes and ladders and setatak. A clear improvement is seen inincrease in students' mathematical concept understanding. In cycle I, the percentage of student understanding was in the "good" category with the average achievement obtained reached 79.05%, as for the implementation of the second cycle it increased to 89.05% and entered the "very good" category. Thus, the implementation of educational games based on the PBL model is effective in improving students' mathematical concept understanding.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki siswa, namun berbagai studi menunjukkan masih rendahnya capaian siswa Indonesia pada aspek ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru berbasis Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) pada materi aritmetika sosial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek seluruh siswa kelas VII tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa (26 dari 32 siswa) termasuk kategori rendah, hanya mampu mengidentifikasi unsur soal dan memahami pertanyaan, tetapi kesulitan merumuskan model matematis, menghitung, dan menyimpulkan jawaban. Siswa kategori sedang mampu membuat model dan perhitungan, namun kurang teliti, sedangkan siswa kategori tinggi dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator secara sistematis. Analisis konteks ESD memperlihatkan siswa lebih mudah menyelesaikan soal sosial (rata-rata 5,62) dibanding soal lingkungan (5,28) dan ekonomi (4,48). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran matematika perlu dikembangkan secara variatif, kontekstual, dan berbasis ESD agar siswa tidak hanya terampil berhitung, tetapi juga mampu berpikir kritis, kreatif, serta peka terhadap persoalan sosial, lingkungan, dan ekonomi dalam kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan media pembelajaran berbasis Canva kepada guru-guru MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan tambahan pengetahuan kepada guru-guru tentang aplikasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran digital. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru dengan peserta adalah guru-guru di MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 24 orang. Materi yang disampaikan dalam kegiatan ini tentang penggunaan aplikasi Canva dalam merancang media pembelajaran digital. Guru diberikan pengenalan tentang aplikasi Canva, tutorial menggunakan Canva, bagaimana menggunakan desain yang sudah ada, bagaimana merancang desain, bagaimana menentukan kata kunci, bagaimana memilih template dan bagaimana menggunakannya untuk membuat media pembelajaran digital misalnya membuat modul ajar sesuai dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu oleh masing-masing guru.

Abstract

AbstractDigital literacy is the ability to use, understand, and utilize digital technology effectively. On the other hand, as prospective mathematics teachers, higher education students need good statistical literacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital literacy and statistical literacy of students in higher education. In an increasingly advanced and complex digital era, these two skills are key for students' academic and professional success. This study used the correlational method. The sample was 32 students of prospective mathematics teachers in the mathematics education study program. The instruments used were digital literacy questionnaires and statistical literacy test questions. The data collection technique used a Likert scale. The data analysis carried out is descriptive statistical analysis, inferential statistical analysis using correlation tests, and see how much digital literacy contributes to statistical literacy. The results showed a significant relationship between digital literacy and statistical literacy of prospective mathematics teachers in higher education. The contribution of digital literacy to statistical literacy is 23.04%. Abstrak Literasi digital mengacu pada kemampuan untuk menggunakan, memahami, dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara efektif. Di sisi lain, sebagai calon guru matematika, mahasiswa di pendidikan tinggi perlu memiliki literasi statistis yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara literasi digital dan literasi statistis mahasiswa di Pendidikan Tinggi. Di era digital yang semakin maju dan kompleks, kedua keterampilan ini menjadi keterampilan kunci kesuksesan akademin, dan profesional mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional. Sampelnya adalah mahasiswa calon guru matematika di program studi pendidikan matematika sebanyak 32 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket literasi digital, dan soal tes literasi statistis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likerts. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis statistika inferensial menggunakan uji-korelasional, dan melihat berapa besar konstribusi literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis mahasiswa calon guru matematika di Pendidikan Tinggi. Besarnya konstribusi literasi digital terhadap literasi statistis sebesar 23,04%.

Abstract

This study aims to apply digital learning media in the form of Adobe Animate CC in learning mathematics. This research is a quantitative research with a comparative approach to compare learning outcomes based on the application of interactive learning media Adobe Animate CC. The research population was all junior high schools in Bengkalis Regency, while the sample was a portion of the schools taken purposively according to the purpose of the research. The data collection tool is a learning achievement test and a checklist to observe student learning motivation in class while studying with Adobe Animate CC. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics, t-test and One Way Anova. The results of the analysis show that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes in the experimental class using Adobe Animate CC learning media and the control class using conventional learning. There were significant differences in learning motivation in the experimental class at the first meeting, second meeting, third meeting and fourth meeting. Adobe Animate CC learning media can improve learning outcomes and motivation of junior high school students in Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province.Keywords: digital learning media, learning outcomes, learning motivation.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i1.pp172-182

Abstract

The design of ESD-based math problems to measure creative thinking skills namely contains indicators of creative thinking skills and is applied in everyday life day. The research design used is formative evaluation (self-evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, and field tests). The research results show that from the initial design of the questions (47 students), only 28 questions were valid. After conducting large-scale tests shows that only some students can complete it. It is supported by the results of the written interview which said that the question was a moderate level of difficulty. But there are also those who say that the problem is too easy. With the research results is expected to produce guidelines in designing math-based test questions ESD for students.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking abilities which are still low need to be developed and one of the abilities that must be instilled in students is self-confidence. This research aims to describe students' mathematical critical thinking abilities in terms of self-confidence. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research with a case study method. The research subjects were 9th-grade students at one of the junior high schools in Siak Hulu and numbered 33 people. The data collection technique in this research is a test technique using mathematical critical thinking ability test instruments and non-test techniques in the form of student self-confidence questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique is carried out through several stages, including reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that; (1) overall students' mathematical critical thinking abilities are classified as less critical and need to be improved; (2) self-confidence is in line with mathematical critical thinking skills where students with high self-confidence have sufficient critical thinking skills which are indicated by students being able to master two indicators of critical thinking. Students with moderate self-confidence have sufficient critical thinking skills, which is indicated by students being able to master two critical thinking indicators. In contrast, students with low self-confidence have sufficient critical thinking skills, which is indicated by students being able to master two critical thinking indicators.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is a crucial competency in 21st-century education however, international assessments such as PISA indicate that Indonesian students still have low levels of mathematical literacy. This study aims to develop mathematics teaching materials assisted by Autograph software to enhance the mathematical literacy skills of Phase F students in the topic of geometric transformations.. This research employs the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were students of Class XI-4 at SMA Negeri 4 Tanah Putih. The instruments used included validation sheets, mathematical literacy tests (pretest and posttest), student response questionnaires, and observations. The results of the study show that the developed teaching materials are highly valid, with an average validation score of 89.10%, practical based on student responses with a score of 79.73% categorized as “practical,” and effective based on an N-gain score increase of 0.43 and a statistically significant t-test result. Therefore, the Autograph-assisted teaching materials are considered valid, practical, and reasonably effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills in geometric transformations.
