Abstract

First-year out-of-town students face a challenging transition period because they have to adapt to new social and academic environments, college adjustment is the key to academic success and psychological well-being, and peer social support plays a crucial role in helping the adaptation process. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of peer social support with college adjustment for first-year out-of-town students in the Diploma Three Nursing Study Program at Abulyatama University. This study applied a quantitative method through a cross-sectional study approach and involved 109 populations. The sample consisted of 52 respondents selected through purposive random sampling using the Slovin formula. The instruments implemented include the questionnaire MSPSS to measure peer social support, it was found that the Croncbach Alpha for the family subscale was 0.81, the friend subscale was 0.82, and other significant subscales was 0.75 and SACQ to measure the level of college adjustment, it was found that the Alpha coefficient = 0.877, while the analysis used was univariate and bivariate by applying the chi square test. The study findings are based on the test findings using Chi-Square, it is known that the ρ value = 0.036 (≤ 0.05). The conclusion contains a correlation between peer social support and college adjustment in first-year out-of-town students. The results of this study are expected to be input for out-of-town students to improve their ability to adjust to the campus environment by utilizing peer social support. Educational institutions are expected to provide guidance or counseling programs that support the adaptation process of new students, especially out-of-town students. In addition, further research is expected to examine other factors that influence student adjustment, such as family and environmental factors, and use more diverse research methods to enrich the research results.

Abstract

Fulfillment of nutrition is very important for the growth and development of children, especially in the first 1000 days of life (HPK). Family, especially mothers play an important role in providing balanced nutrition, therefore mothers must have good knowledge about it. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about balanced nutrition in toddlers. This activity was carried out in the village of Kiran Krueng. This study used a pre-experimental design method with the type of one group pretest-posttest design. The target in this study were the women of Kiran Krueng Village, Jangka Buya District, Pidie Jaya Regency. The questionnaire in this study was used to examine the effect of providing counseling about stunting on increasing the knowledge of women in Kiran Krueng Village, Jangka Buya District, Pidie Jaya Regency. The number of samples taken was 20 mothers. It is known that most of the respondents were female as many as 20 respondents with a percentage of 100%, while most of them were aged 25-30 years as many as 12 respondents with a percentage of 60%. The highest level of knowledge of mothers before being given counseling was in the moderate category, 7 people (35%). The highest level of knowledge of mothers after being given counseling was in the high category, 20 people (100%). The average level of knowledge of mothers before being given counseling was 2,05 and after being given counseling, it was 1,00. From these results it can be concluded that there were positive results from the counseling process carried out.

Abstract

perilaku kesehatan yang dilakukan atas kesadaran sehingga anggota keluarga atau keluarga dapat menolong dirinya sendiri di bidang kesehatan dan dapat berperan aktif dalam kegiatan – kegiatan kesehatan dan berperan aktif dalam kegiatan-kegiatan kesehatan di masyarakat. Upaya untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk mencapai taraf hidup yang lebih baik. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan desain pra expriemental jenis one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah santri di Dayah Nurul Huda Ajee Cut Aceh Besar, jumlah Sempel yang diambil sebanyak 18 responden. Diketahui bahwa pengetahuan sebelum diberikan penyuluhan dikategorikan tinggi sebanyak 5 responden atau 27%. dapat diketahui bahwa pengetahuan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan dikategorikan tinggi sebanyak 18 responden atau 100%. perbedaan penyuluhan tentang pengetahuan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) sebelum dan sesudah sebagian besar responden meningkat dari nilai rata-rata 1.00 menjadi 2.00. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hasil positif dari proses penyuluhan yang dilakukan

Abstract

The incidence of stunting (short) under five is a major nutritional problem in all countries. Based on three years of nutritional status monitoring (PSG) data, stunting in Indonesia shows that stunting has the highest prevalence compared to other nutritional problems such as malnutrition, wasting, and obesity. This is due to the pregnancy process of mothers who experience malnutrition during pregnancy, low Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD), and inadequate provision of MP-ASI. This study aims to determine the relationship between stunting and student achievement in SD/MIN schools in the work area of ​​the Ligan Health Center, Aceh Jaya Regency. This study uses a type of quantitative research. The population of this study were all SD/MIN students in the working area of ​​the Ligan Health Center, Aceh Jaya Regency in 2022. The respondents used were students aged 7-12 years and had complete report cards. Researchers took samples using the consecutive sampling method. The samples obtained were 49 samples from different schools. This research was conducted in 3 schools in the working area of ​​SD/MIN Puskesmas Ligan, Aceh Jaya Regency. There were 18 children from SD 12, 15 children from SD 2 and 17 children from MIN 8. The statistical test analysis used the Chi-Square Test, while the student measurements used a meter, then plotted onto the CDC-2000 curve to see TB according to age. The research results obtained 49 students as respondents. The average respondent was found at the age of 7 years (30.6%), and the least was found at the age of 12 years (6%). The results of the analysis test showed that there was no significant relationship between stunting and learning achievement (0.452 > 0.05). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between stunting and student achievement.

Abstract

Keterbatasan akses terhadap pangan bergizi, rendahnya pengetahuan gizi, serta minimnya pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan memperparah risiko kekurangan gizi pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi seimbang, mendorong perubahan praktik budidaya taman gizi, serta mengevaluasi dampak awal program terhadap kemandirian pangan keluarga nelayan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one-group pre-test dan post-test. Sampel terdiri dari 30 ibu rumah tangga yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Intervensi dilakukan selama 3 bulan melalui edukasi gizi, pelatihan budidaya sayuran dengan polybag/pot, serta pendampingan rutin. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menujukkan rata-rata skor pengetahuan ibu meningkat dari 55.2 pada pre-test menjadi 89.7 pada post-test, dengan hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p < 0.001). Observasi praktik juga memperlihatkan peningkatan nyata, di mana 90% responden mulai memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah untuk menanam sayuran, 70% memanfaatkan hasil panen untuk konsumsi keluarga, dan 50% sudah mencoba membuat kompos sederhana. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa program taman gizi keluarga terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi dan keterampilan budidaya ibu rumah tangga, sekaligus mendorong kemandirian pangan di komunitas nelayan dengan keterbatasan lahan.

Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior in schools is a set of behaviors that are practiced by students, teachers and the school community as learning outcomes, so that they are able to independently prevent disease, improve health and play an active role in creating a healthy environment. The aim of the study was to find out the description of the knowledge, attitudes and actions of class VI students at SD Negeri Bueng Cala towards clean and healthy behavior. This research is descriptivewith a sample of 57 respondents using the total sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of a statement with a total of 24 statements, and the results of data analysis are presented intable form of frequency distribution and percentage.The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of class VI students at SD Negeri Bueng Cala regarding Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) is in the high category, namely 31 respondents (54.39%). The attitudes of students regarding PHBS were in the positive category of 33 respondents (57.89%). The actions of students regarding PHBS were in the category of 32 respondents (56.14%). Based on the results of the research, it is hoped that students will be able to prevent disease, strengthen children's skills in clean and healthy living behavior, improve children's mental and social development, and improve students' abilities to protect themselves from harmful substances.

Abstract

Dampak negatif gadget, bahaya rokok dan bahaya begadang bagi siswa dapat dicegah dengan memberikan penyuluhan. Diharapkan setelah diberikan penyuluhan, siswa dapat memahami bahaya gadget, bahaya rokok dan bahaya ganda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas penyuluhan tentang bahaya gadget, bahaya merokok, dan bahaya begadang dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa di SMA Negeri Jangka Buya Pidie Jaya. Desain penelitian adalah pre-experimental design dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri Jangka Buya Pidie Jaya yang berjumlah 60 orang. Pengambilan sampel dengan total sampling, sebanyak 60 siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik paired simple t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 94% (0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa sebelum diberikan penyuluhan berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 23 siswa (43,8) dan pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 37 siswa (56,3%), setelah diberikan penyuluhan pengetahuan siswa meningkat yaitu kategori sedang. 14 siswa (12,5%) dan kategori tinggi sebanyak 46 siswa (87,5%). Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji t sederhana berpasangan menunjukkan nilai p = 0,01 sehingga dapat dikatakan ada perbedaan yang bermakna secara statistik antara pengetahuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan tentang bahaya gadget, bahaya merokok, dan bahaya begadang di SMA Negeri Jangka Buya Pidie Jaya.
