Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the diversity, richness, and evenness of aerial insects based on habitat characteristics in the dry land of Kefamenanu city, North Central Timor, East Nusa Tenggara. The research was conducted on three types of habitats, namely dry land, rivers, and lakes by purposive sampling method. Sampling was done by documenting specimens in each habitat, identifying, inventorying, and analyzing quantitatively to obtain data on species diversity, species richness, and species evenness. Results revealed that aerial insects in Kefamenanu City were found in 9 orders, 25 families, 44 genera, 54 species, and 1998 individuals in three habitat types with diversity index (H'=3,068), evenness index (E=0.774), richness index (R). = 6.974), and dominance index (0.074). Aerial insects in dryland habitats are found in 8 orders, 18 families, 32 genera, 32 species, 514 individuals with diversity index (H'=2.735), evenness index (E=0.789), richness index (R=4.966), and dominance index. (0.092). Aerial insects in river habitat found 7 orders, 20 families, 40 genera, 47 species, and 792 individuals with diversity index (H'=3.205), evenness index (E=0.833), richness index (R=6.892), and dominance index (0.075). Aerial insects in the lake habitat found 8 orders, 18 families, 35 genera, 39 species, 692 individuals with diversity index (H'=2,906), evenness index (E=0.793), richness index (R=5.811), and dominance index (0.083).

Abstract

ABSTRAKSMA Dharma Ayu merupakan salah satu sekolah di kota Kefamenanu yang memiliki minat besar dalam berupaya meningkatkan kompetensi guru agar dapat memberikan bimbingan kepada siswa untuk berkompetisi bidang kepenulisan karya ilmiah baik lokal hingga internasional. Namun, kompetensi guru dalam bidang kepenulisan karya ilmiah masih terbatas, sehingga dibutuhkan pelatihan kepenulisan karya ilmiah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru. PKM yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah bertujuan untuk memberikan fasilitas kepada guru di SMA Dharma Ayu untuk dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Metode yang dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan menulis karya ilmiah secara teoritikal dan secara praktikal. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan kepenulisan karya ilmiah mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah di SMA Dharma Ayu Kefamenanu dengan hasil evaluasi pelatihan menunjukkan aspek kepenulisan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 77% sangat baik dan aspek kemampuan publikasi artikel dengan nilai rata-rata 73% sangat baik, serta kepuasan peserta pelatihan terhadap dilaksanakannya pelatihan mendapatkan respon positif pada aspek materi dengan nilai rata-rata 83% sangat baik dan pada aspek pelayanan dengan nilai rata-rata 85% sangat baik. Kata kunci: sma dharma ayu; guru; pelatihan; karya ilmiah. ABSTRACTDharma Ayu High School is one of the schools in the city of Kefamenanu that has a great interest in trying to improve teacher competence so that they can provide guidance to students to compete in the field of writing scientific papers both locally and internationally. However, teacher competence in the field of writing scientific papers is still limited, so training in writing scientific papers is needed to improve teacher competence. The PKM that is being carried out is scientific writing training aimed at providing facilities to teachers at SMA Dharma Ayu to be able to improve teacher competence. The method is carried out by providing theoretical and practical scientific writing training. The results of the dedication show that scientific writing training is able to increase teacher competency in writing scientific papers at Dharma Ayu Kefamenanu High School, with the results of the training evaluation showing the authorship aspect getting an average score of 77% very good and the aspect of article publication ability with an average score of 73% very good, and the satisfaction of the trainees with the implementation of the training receiving a positive response on the material aspect with an average score of 83% very good and on the service aspect with an average score of 85% very good. Keywords: dharma ayu high school; teacher; training; scientific writing

Abstract

SMA Dharma Ayu Kefamenanu berdasarkan wawancara yang penulis lakukan belum mengaplikasikan kegiatan pembelajaran secara digital, karena guru di tempat tersebut belum mengenal media pembelajaran digital yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, kiranya perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian yang mampu memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan media digital. Salah satu media digital yang digunakan adalah Kahoot! Platform tersebut merupakan media pembelajaran online yang menarik, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan Kahoot! terhadap guru di SMA Dharma Ayu Kefamenanu, maka didapatkan hasil 71% reponden sangat puas dengan kegiatan penyelenggaraan pelatihan tersebut, 10% responden masih belum puas terhadap aspek media Kahoot! dan yang terakhir 52% responden sangat puas dengan materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan Kahoot!

Abstract

The Journal Inspirasi Ekonomi is a scientific publication media that has a vital role in realizing the vision, mission and objectives of the Management study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Timor. This activity aims to improve the quality of the Journal of Inspirasi Ekonomi so that its management is by the standards of the national journal accreditation institution (ARJUNA) and the SINTA accreditation process can be carried out immediately. The method used in this community service activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR), namely identifying crucial problems that could hinder the accreditation process and then repairing and completing them. The activities carried out by the servant in this activity are compiling and making publication ethics statements, creating a google scholar profile and optimizing indexation, updating information on the OJS Journal of Inspirasi Ekonomi page, conducting scientific paper writing webinars to obtain articles and increase readability, visits and citations. After carrying out this activity, the Inspirasi Ekonomi Journal, Universitas Timor, has met the standards and can be submitted for accreditation to the national journal accreditation institution (ARJUNA).

Abstract

North Central Timor is one of the banana-producing areas that produces banana peel waste. Banana peels can be used as an eco-enzyme, where the manufacturing process needs to be socialized to SMKN students who will take part in internships as additional knowledge. This service aims to increase students' knowledge regarding the manufacture of eco-enzymes. This service was carried out at SMKN Bikomi Selatan for two days face to face with an interval of one week. The first day of service was filled with making eco-enzymes and a week later it was filled with observing the eco-enzymes that had been made and filling out questionnaires by service participants. The eco-enzyme product produced after a week of storage is milky white, has a fermented smell and there is foam when opened. Seventy-three point thirty-three percent of respondents agreed that the media and methods of service were appropriate.

Abstract

Sampah plastik telah menjadi salah satu limbah yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan lingkungan dan memberikan dampak pada kesehatan manusia. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMP Negeri 1 Mollo Utara di Desa Kapan Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman siswa SMP terhadap dampak sampah plastik bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan. Sejumlah 30 responden dari SMP Negeri 1 Mollo Utara diberikan soal pretest dan post test mengenai dampak sampah plastik terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Berdasarkan kegiatan pretest dan post test didapatkan rata - rata nilai pretest 59,83 dan nilai post test 74,00. Terdapat kenaikan nilai setelah dilakukan pemberian soal post test pada responden. Meskipun demikian nilai yang diperoleh tidak meningkat banyak berdasarkan nilai skoring yang telah diberikan. Sehingga, perlu dilakukan kegiatan yang lebih terstruktur untuk mendapatkan nilai responden yang lebih baik.

Abstract

SMKN Bikomi Selatan akan melakukan kegiatan magang, sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan etika magang. Dalam hal ini tim Pengabdi menyediakan materi etika magang yang diperlukan oleh SMKN Bikomi Selatan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan pemaparan materi dan pemberian kuesioner untuk melihat kepuasan peserta terhadap materi yang diberikan. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan etika magang menunjukkan peserta merasa puas dengan kegiatan pengabdian etika magang yang diberikan oleh tim pengabdi. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan survei kepuasan terhadap materi yang diberikan mencapai 48,81.

Abstract

Lichenes are formed from the association of fungi and phostosynthetic symbionts (algae and cyanobacteria) by forming a stable thallus structure. The aim of this research is to determine the diversity of epiphytic lichens on mango trees in Sallu Village, West Miomaffo District in March-May 2023. This research uses an exploratory method on mango plantations. The sampling method uses purposive sampling. Based on exploration results, 33 species of epiphytic lichens were found on mango trees in Sallu Village, West Miomaffo District. The Lichenes species found consist of 14 families, namely Parmeliaceae, Physciaceae, Graphidaceae, Pannariaceae, Caliciaceae, Collemataceae, Lecanoraceae, Stereocaulaceae, Pertusariaceae, Mycoporaceae, Pyrenulaceae, Haematommataceae, Arthoniaceae, and Ochrolechiaceae.

Abstract

The Noe Bikomi River water is used by the local community for daily life. The water quality of the Noe Bikomi River needs to be checked, especially the hardness parameters which can cause various consequences to guarantee the community's right to obtain good quality water. This research is quantitative descriptive research. There are 3 test sampling points where water test sampling will be carried out once in September 2023. The test sample (water) is taken from the surface and taken to the laboratory for testing. The hardness value (CaCO3) from the three points ranges from 259-277 mg/L with the high hardness level category. The hardness values at all three points still meet quality standards and are suitable for use for sanitary hygiene purposes.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the structure of the phytoplankton community and the values of chemical and physical water parameters in the Noe Meto river. This research was carried out using purposive sampling by paying attention to sampling stations in places used by local people to wash clothes or motorbikes. A total of 3 research stations had water samples taken to analyze the type of phytoplankton in the laboratory. Meanwhile, environmental factors such as pH and temperature are carried out in situ. The research results showed that the existing phytoplankton community had an abundance value of 6-328 ind/L, a diversity index value of between 1.698-2.200, a uniformity index value of 0.708-0885 and a dominance index value of between 0.128-0.242. All of the phytoplankton species found were from the Bacillariophyceae class. The water temperature values of the Noe Meto River from the three stations range from 29.67oC-31oC and the pH value of the water is 7 or neutral. Based on existing data, it shows that the phytoplankton in the Noe Meto river is experiencing environmental pressure in the moderate category.
