Abstract

Abstrak Dunia kreatifitas dalam fotografi adalah sebuah petualangan pencapaian visi dari sang fotografer. Setiap orang melihat dan mengartikan dunia secara berbeda-beda. Dalam fotografi bukanlah sekedar merekam sebuah sisi dari subyek atau sekedar menangkap momen yang tepat akan tetapi juga mengolah unsur-unsur estetik dari subyek dengan mengatur pencahayaan dan komposisi yang baik. Komposisi terdiri dari beberapa format elemen visual. Sebuah fotografi dapat dihasilkan dengan lebih efektif dan bermakna dengan pemahaman komposisi yang baik. Pada kajian ini penulis akan mengangkat Annie Leibovitz, seorang fotografer yang paling berpengaruh di dunia, yang membuat editorial sebuah seri editorial photography berjudul "Dream Portrait" yang berkolaborasi dengan para selebriti pada dongeng disney untuk mempromosikan Disney Parks "Year of a million Dreams." Kajian ini menganalisis jenis-jenis komposisi yang digunakan dan menilai komposisi yang paling banyak digunakan pada seri fotografi ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui buku dan artikel yang membahas tentang teori fotografi, buku tentang fotografi, serta sumber dari Internet mengenai teori yang berkaitan dengan materi pembahasan serta yang berhubungan dengan seri fotografi tersebut. Penulis menguraikan penggunaan komposisi pada tiap foto yang Annie Leibovitz gunakan dalam mendukung keberhasilan dan penyampaian pesan dan makna foto. Dengan demikian kajian ini dapat menambah pengetahuan tentang teori maupun prinsip fotografi lainnya yang dapat membantu untuk membuat suatu cerita editorial foto yang lebih baik.  AbstractPhotography is not only a simple record of the real world, but becomes a complex creation of art and an image medium that also gives meaning and message. The quality of a good photo is not only beauuse of its clear picture but also because of its proper lighting and also its good composition. Composition contains the elements of an image in a format. An image can be produced more effectively and meaningfully with an understanding of good composition. Composition is an instrument for a photographer to take the viewer beyond the experience of “peeking through someone else’s window". Since 2007, Annie Leibovitz is one of the most influential photographer in the world, has created an editorial photography series name "Dream Portrait", featuring celebrities in Disney fairy tale scene to promote Disney Parks " Year of a million Dreams". The purpose of this paper is to find what kind of compositions in this series used mostly and how it works influencing the image and story in each of photographs. With qualitative research method in this study, the authors search the data and information from books, the electronic media associated with the photography series. Based on this research, we clarify the use of composition in each photographs that results that we are looking to add insight about the various theories and principles of photography that help us to make editorial story photography better

Abstract

Book Design entitled “My Acne Journey, Kenali, Atasi, Cegah Jerawat” for Teenagers Age 13-18 with Digital Illustration Techniques. The design of the final project in the form of a journal entitled "My Acne Vulgaris" aims to become an interactive information medium by adapting the bullet journal system. This book contains an introduction to acne vulgaris in general and how to treat acne-prone skin that can be applied to everyday life for teenage girls aged 13-18 years. The research method applied is using a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data from the results of the literature, questionnaires, interviews, internet and observation. Based on the results of data collection, it is known that acne vulgaris can affect mental health and reduce self-confidence, especially in women, so knowledge about acne vulgaris is needed. In designing this book, attention to design rules combined with illustrations can be an attraction. Through this book, it is hoped that it can become an interactive medium to increase knowledge about acne vulgaris and increase self-confidence in adolescents.

Abstract

Yangko is Indonesian traditional food originating from Yogyakarta City. One of the famous yangko brands is Yangko Pak Prapto, it is an old brand established in 1970. Market competition makes a brand require the right branding strategy to be able to compete, has a strong identity to differentiate itself from other brands and is easy to remember by consumers. The problem is that the Yangko Pak Prapto brand can't compete because they lack branding strategy and promotion. Rebranding can be chosen to strengthen brand identity and attract new customers, one of the strategies by using packaging as the main media because packaging is part of the product that deals visually directly with customers. The method in this research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, and the design process uses the design thinking method. The focus of this research is to redesign the yangko pak prapto brand through packaging as main media, with the hope that the brand can have a strong visual identity and increase sales, and can also be a good example in developing a local MSME brand. The results of the design will be in the form of a new logo, new packaging and several supporting media. Abstract

The drama series Layangan Putus, which has recently become the general public's talk, is quite popular and watched by many people. Interestingly, there are many funny memes about the news about the film series Layangan Putus on social media. Besides that, many early semester VCD students at Bunda Mulia University need clarification every time they make a poster design because of difficulties in determining the poster layout. Therefore, the author tries to research the main visual of the posters from the Layangan Putus film series by using a scientific approach to Visual Communication Design; the author discusses film posters using a formalistic, expressive, and instrumentalistic approach in terms of visual elements, layout, and colour. The aim is to show the meaning of the poster for the Serial Film Layangan Putus in a formalistic, expressive, and instrumentalistic manner using a qualitative descriptive method to describe as wide as possible the information being analysed. Practically, this study concludes the results of the application of design principles and the primary visual elements, which are very influential in making the aesthetics of a film poster layout more attractive. Abstract

Indonesia has a martial art, namely the martial art of Pencak Silat. Pencak Silat has various variations due to the diversity of cultures in Indonesia. Unfortunately, Pencak Silat is currently less in demand due to various reasons, but one of them is competition with foreign martial arts. One of the martial arts of Pencak Silat whose existence is threatened is the martial art of Silek Harimau, this is made worse by the absence of written documentation regarding Silek Harimau. Therefore, this design aims to create media in the form of illustrated children's story books that introduce Silek Harimau to children. This design will use descriptive qualitative research methods, and data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations, literature studies, and questionnaire surveys. The design will use the Design Thinking method which consists of various stages, namely: Emphasize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. These design stages will later produce a media in the form of a illustrated children's story book entitled "Menjadi Kesatria Harimau" Keywords: martial arts; children; picture book; stories

However, the rapid and increasingly varied development of culinary innovations has caused the existence of traditional foods to be increasingly displaced and threatened with extinction. By making this work, the goal is to increase awareness of one of the local traditional foods, cakwe bread, by showing the historical, social, and cultural value of traditional Indonesian food. The research uses the design thinking method in designing a photography book with an emotional, creative, and artistic approach. The research results show that the use of photography in the design of this book has an important role in helping to convey the information. This design is hoped to increase the younger generation's awareness about preserving traditional cuisine in Indonesia.Keywords: Photography, acculturation, Culinary, design thinking

Abstract

The design of this final task served to introduce the large masses the unique food of the town of Ambon in order to preserve the traditional culinary areas. Because many still do not know that much of the food from Ambon is unique and worth tasting and still lack of media information about the culinary region. Research methods are conducted using qualitative descriptive research with data collection of interviews, questionnaires, library studies and observations. As a result of the questionnaires being distributed online, the authors found that 153 respondents feel that Indonesia has an interesting tourist attraction, one of which is the culinary tour of Ambon, in which ambon's culinary tour is still poorly known and the media information is inadequate. Respondents agree that books can be one of the good information media, so Ambon's typical culinary book is prepared by adapting the Bullet journal form and other supporting media to be more attractive and interactive. It is hoped that this design will enable the cuisine of the region especially of the city of Ambon to be better known and preserved.

Abstract

Environmental education has a very important role in overcoming current environmental problems. The development of environmental awareness is increasingly important to continue to be socialized to all elements of society who have a responsibility in maintaining and preserving the environment for sustainability that is relevant to nature. Early childhood must begin to have an awareness of the importance of environmental aspects in maintaining life now and in the future because environmental education is the responsibility of the entire community, including government and educational institutions. This community service activity combines the provision of material on the importance of preserving the environment, especially Indonesian rare animals and development of children’s fine motor skill by using paper folding activities or commonly called origami. This study using collaborative and participatory action research methods (PAR). At the community service this time, the target of the participants was children aged 6-8 years in the North Jakarta Dharma Suci RPTRA environment. The results of the training from this activity showed that children tend to be enthusiastic in participating in giving the material given. Children tend to be interested in learning more about rare animals in Indonesia. And it can be seen that the children's fine motor skills, namely in folding paper (origami), seem to be better in several processes in the process of folding paper.

Abstract

ABSTRACT                 The state of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic forces people to be more adaptive. This includes self-development so that it can reduce the negative impacts that can arise within oneself. Coupled with the development of information technology is increasingly rapid until now and the technologies that support it continue to be developed. People take a lot of time to try to improve their technology-related skills such as photography and videography. In its development, both photography and videography have undergone many changes from manual to digital until a few moments ago a trend emerged where due to the pandemic situation which required us to keep our distance or what is known as social distancing, the trend of virtual photography and videography emerged. So that this community service activity takes place online with participants from students / I SMK Bonavita Tangerang. In this community service consists of two parts, the first is the provision of material and an understanding of non-virtual and virtual shooting procedures, so that participants understand the basics of shooting from pre-production, production to post-production, in which the material is given direct practical examples. conducted by the two speakers. The final result of this community service activity went well and was responded well by the participants. Participants receive material on photography and videography competencies that have been adapted to be used in the current pandemic situation.
