Abstract

Learning is an interactive process between educators and students; the goal is to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Learning resources are an important component to support the learning process, especially in the field of biotechnology. Adequate learning resources can improve student understanding and facilitate practical activities. Initial analysis shows that students are still less familiar with the use of booklets as learning resources, with 76.7% of students not familiar and 86.7% rarely used. The development of a booklet on lip balm with natural ingredients is important. This booklet presents information clearly and attractively. This research method uses R&D with the ADDIE model, involving two expert validators to assess the feasibility of the booklet. The validation results show that the developed booklet meets the feasibility criteria with values ??of 85.5% and 81.6% in the first stage and 95.5% and 97.5% after improvement. The developed booklet is suitable for use as a learning resource for biotechnology courses. Thus, it is hoped that this booklet can improve student motivation and learning outcomes in biotechnology courses.

Abstract

Plant extract contains active compounds beneficial for ultraviolet protection and skin health. No previous studies have formulated lip balm using Dayak onion and rosella flowers. The research aims to gain information on the best lipbalm formulation with parameters from panelists and preparation evaluation (pH test, homogeneity test, stability, smear test, and hedonic test). Experimental research method with completely randomized design (CRD), to identify the significant differences in the lip balm preparations using one-way ANOVA. Lip balm is formulated from an extract of dayak onion (0%,1%,3%,5%,7%) and rosella flower (0%,1%,3%,6%,9%) as a natural moisturizer and natural dye. The dayak onion bulbs and rosella flowers are extracted and tested for phytochemicals and DPPH antioxidants. The research results indicate that the extract of the dayak onion bulbs and rosella flowers are positive containing flavonoid, alkaloid, tannin, and triterpenoid compounds. The dayak onion bulbs have an IC50 value of 1,4366 ppm, whereas the IC50 for rosella flowers is 19,2135 ppm. The lipbalm preparation of F1, F2, F3, and F4 meet the requirements for pH testing, homogeneity test, smear test, and stability test. The results of the hedonic test on 35 panelists indicate that the most preferred color is in F3, texture in F1 and F3, and aroma in F1. The results of the one-way ANOVA test with a confidence level of 95% have a significance of 0,000 indicating a significant difference (P<0,05). The best extract formulation from dayak onion bulbs and rosella flowers in the lip balm innovative cosmetic herbal ingredients was in Formula 1 with extract concentration 1:1 and the best results of the color parameters according to the panelists were at F3.

Abstract

Tumbuhan tinggi (tumbuhan berkayu dan liana) menjadi objek penelitian karena kebermanfaatannya berdasarkan hasil observasi di lapangan, serta terbatasnya pengklasifikasian macam-macam jenis tumbuhan tinggi yang terdapat di kawasan Taman Nasional Sebangau. Taman Nasional Sebangau sebagai salah satu bagian dari Kalimantan Tengah dengan keadaan alam yang dimilikinya sangat memungkinkan untuk menjadi habitat dari berbagai jenis tumbuhan tinggi. Di Taman Nasional Sebangau sebagian besar tanah gambut yang menjadi habitat tumbuhan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  karakteristik lahan gambut dengan tumbuhan tinggi yang hidup di tanah gambut yang ada di Taman Nasional Sebagau.Jenis liana yang ditemukan di Taman Nasional Sebagau berjumlah 11 spesies yaitu Piper betlle, piper crocotum, Piper crocotum I, Nepenthes ambullaria, P.helicopus, Calamus rotang, Calamus manan mil, Semilax leucaphylla, De Jumlah jenis tumbuhan berkayu di kawasan Taman Nasional Sebangau sebanyak 23 jenis Combretocarpus rotundatus (Miq.) Danser, Mezzetia parviflora Becc, Mezzetia sp, Dyera polyphylla (Miq.) Steenis, Agathis borneensis Warb, Koompassia malaccensis Maing. ex Benth, Gymnostoma sp, Lophopetalum multinervium Ridl, Dipterocarpus hasseltii, Shorea spp, Diospyros sp, Neoscortechinia kingii (Hook.F.) Pax & K.Hoffm, Garcinia cf.bancana, Cratoxylon arborescens Bl, Stemonurus secundiflorus Blume, Cinnamomum sintoc Bl, Aglaia sp, Artocarpus sp, Nuclea sp, Nephelium lappaceum, Palaquium leiocarpum Bl, Tetramerista glabra Miq dan Palaquium cochleariifolium P.Royen.mis eliptica benth, Etanda spiralis, Arcagalisa flava merr. Rata-rata indeks keanekaragaman tumbuhan tinggi di Taman Nasional Sebangau adalah sebesar 1,46. Indeks keanekaragaman ini termasuk dalam nilai keanekaragamannya H’ 1 ≤ H’ ≤ 3 menunjukan bahwa keanekaragam spesies pada satu transek adalah  melimpah.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of needs, it is known that Ethnobotany learning in the Biology Tadris study program at IAIN Palangka Raya has not used integrated Islamic teaching materials, lecturers and students need integrated Islamic Ethnobotany textbooks that are valid for use in learning. This study aims to describe the validity of the integrated Islamic Ethnobotany textbook based on the 3D PageFlip. This research is part of development research with the ADDIE development model. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method for feasibility assessment based on the expert review (including two material expert validators, two media expert validators, and two interpreter expert validators) using a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the assessment of the material expert is 94.5% (very valid), the assessment of the media expert is 90% (very valid), and the assessment of the interpreter is 90% (very valid). Thus, textbooks can be declared very valid and suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

Pest attacks on plants are the most common problem faced by farmers. One type of pest that most often attacks plants with hydroponic methods is the Aphis gossypii pest.  Seeing this, an innovation must be developed in controlling pests that are more environmentally friendly. This study aimed to determine how influential the use of shallot and garlic skin baths as pest control in hydroponic Brassica rapa L. plants with concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75%. This research is an experimental study in which the data obtained is processed using the ANOVA method. The results of the study based on the data processing results showed that there was less visible difference between the three treatments given for four weeks of treatment. So, it can be in the application of natural pesticides, which can be given in the first week with a concentration of 25%, in the second week 50%, and in the third week and fourth week 75%.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman menutut untuk adanya inovasi dan kreasi dalam bidang pendidikan. Proses belajar mengajar yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman yaitu dengan melibatkan teknologi. Semua guru dituntut untuk memiliki keterampilan dan pengetahuan dalam penggunaan teknologi untuk pembelajaran. MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya memiliki misi menyelenggarakan pendidikan berbasis IPTEK. Pembelajaran berbasis IPTEK salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan media belajar berbasis elektronik yaitu e-modul. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru MA Darul Ulum dalam pembuatan e-Modul. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari tahap pelatihan yaitu pemberian materi terkait pengembangan e-modul serta tahap pendampingan yaitu pendampingan guru dalam membuat e-modul. Kegiatan pengabdian terlaksana dengan lancar serta mendapatkan respon positif dari para guru di MA Darul Ulum Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Background: An educator must have expertise in developing teaching materials that can support and assist students in the learning process. One of the teaching materials that educators can develop is in the form of e-modules. This research aims to develop and create a teaching material product in the form of an e-module based on guided inquiry on the Islamic integrated human reproductive system material in class XI for Senior High School/MA. Method: The type of research used in this research is in the form of R&D (Research and Development), or what can be called research and development; the development model used is ADDIE. The ADDIE development model has several stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Research data was collected by validating e-module products, observing learning implementation, and using questionnaires from educators' and students' responses. The data from this analysis trial uses descriptive quantitative data. Product trials were conducted using small-scale tests in class XI MIPA 5 MAN Palangka Raya City. Results: E-modules developed to obtain material expert validation assessments have 91% results that fall into the "very feasible" criteria, media expert validation has 90.75% results that fall into the "very feasible" criteria, and interpretation expert validation has 78% results that fall into the "feasible criteria." At the same time, the results of the implementation observation were 82.62%, which is included in the "very good" criteria. The data from the educator response questionnaire have results as high as 75%, which falls into the "good" category, and the student response questionnaire has results of 82.16%, which is included in the "very good" category. Conclusion: From the data obtained, it can be determined that the guided inquiry-based e-module on the material of the integrated human reproductive system of class XI Islam is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pelatihan dan pendampingan manajemen masjid di Desa Pematang Limau bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sistem kepengurusan masjid dan mushola dalam kegiatan keagamaan secara lebih efektif. Studi ini bertujuan untuk implementasi program pelatihan dan pendampingan yang telah dilaksanakan di Desa Pematang Limau. Metode: Metode yang digunakan, yaitu PAR (Participatory Action Research) yang melibatkan aparat desa dan masyarakat dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen terkait program tersebut. Hasil: Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan pengurus masjid dalam kgiatan keagamaan serta membantu pengurus masjid dalam mengatasi tantangan yang muncul selama pelaksanaan program. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini mampu memberikan pemahaman kepada pengurus Masjid dalam membentuk sistem kepengurusan.

Abstract

Background: (PHBS) atau biasa disebut dengan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat, dimana PHBS ini adalah Langkah pertama yang harus dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat. Sedangkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga kesehatan di masa pandemi sekarang ini sangat rendah, oleh sebab itu dilaksanakan kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi memberikan pendampingan kepada masyarakat mengenai kesadaran pelaksanaan PHBS dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai upaya pencegahan penyebaran Virus Covid-19 dalam rangka meredam kepanikan masyarakat yang ada di Desa Banut Kalanaman. Tujuannya agar masyarakat sadar dan dapat mengubah perilaku dan akan terbiasa untuk menerapkan PHBS di lingkungan masyarakat guna mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian dosen bersama mahasiswa IAIN Palangka Raya menggunakan Metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), dimana pengembangan masyarakat berbasis aset SDM, yaitu keterlibatan Aparat Desa Banut Kalanaman, polindes, dan warga masyarakat. Kegiatan berupa sosialisasi PHBS disampaikan tenaga kesehatan polindes setempat, peserta dihadiri oleh 11 orang warga setempat, dan dihadiri oleh Kepala Desa dan TP PKK, lanjut edukasi dan pendampingan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa IAIN Palangka Raya. Hasil: Hari pertama memberikan sosialisasi penerapan PHBS, hari ke-dua membagikan masker dan hari selanjutnya edukasi atau pendampingan setiap kegiatan Desa selama 30 hari supaya tetap menerapkan PHBS dan protokol keseatan. Kesimpulan: Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini mampu memberikan kesadaran dalam menerapkan PHBS untuk mencegah penyebaran COVID-19.
