Abstract

In the current digital era, data security is a top priority for individuals, organizations, and businesses. Data is considered a valuable asset that needs to be protected from various security threats, especially in operating systems where data is stored (data at rest) and transmitted (data in motion) through networks. This research aims to enhance data security by implementing modern cryptographic methods. The cryptographic methods used include RC4, AES, and WPA3. Penetration testing is conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of each cryptographic method. The research results show that the implementation of modern cryptography provides an additional layer of security against security threats to data in motion and data at rest within the operating system.

Abstract

Exploring the concept of the Windows serverless operating system as a solution in the development and deployment of modern applications. Through a quantitative approach, this study evaluates how serverless technology can improve efficiency, reduce costs, and speed up the application development process. Using case studies and data analysis, this study provides practical guidance for developers and organizations in adopting serverless architectures in Windows environments.

Abstract

This journal discusses the energy efficiency of mobile operating systems using the Infinix Cheetah X1 chip. The study evaluates the chips’s ability to manage power consumption without compromising performance, focusing on battery optimization, charging performance under extreme temperatures, and bypass charging tecnology. Empirical testing on the Infinix Note 40 using tools like CPU-Z and 3C Battery Manager shows that the Cheetah X1 chip enhances charging efficiency and maintains optimal device temperature. However, its impact on overall battery life is minimal, demonstrating normal power cusumpition levels for a smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery. Overall, the chip improves user experiences through innovative charging features and effective power management, although its effect on extending battery life is limited.

Abstract

A Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) is a structured approach that describes how an organization can carry out its operations after an unplanned incident that can result in system failure. Creating strong system resilience requires an IT team with strong experience and understanding as well, and this is the background of this research. This research aims to provide practical guidance in implementing disaster recovery strategies with virtualization, especially the snapshot feature on VMware Workstation to test disaster scenarios and evaluate their recovery effectiveness.

Abstract

Dalam era digital yang semakin terhubung, keamanan siber menjadi aspek yang sangat penting bagi sistem operasi. Ancaman terhadap keamanan data semakin canggih, sehingga menuntut pengembangan solusi autentikasi yang lebih kuat. Salah satu solusi yang diusulkan adalah integrasi teknologi biometrik ke dalam sistem operasi, seperti yang dilakukan dalam BioGuard OS. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas BioGuard OS dalam melindungi sistem dari ancaman siber dengan menggunakan teknologi biometrik. Biometrik berasal dari kata Yunani "bios" yang berarti hidup dan "metron" yang berarti ukuran, dan secara ilmiah, biometrik adalah teknologi yang berfokus pada pengenalan makhluk hidup berdasarkan karakteristik unik masing-masing individu. Teknologi biometrik didefinisikan sebagai penggunaan otomatis karakteristik fisiologis atau perilaku untuk menentukan atau memverifikasi identitas seseorang. Teknologi ini mencoba menghasilkan model komputer dari karakteristik fisik dan perilaku manusia dengan tujuan identifikasi pribadi yang dapat diandalkan. Dalam BioGuard OS, teknologi biometrik yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan keamanan siber termasuk pengenalan wajah, sidik jari, dan pengenalan suara. Analisis informasi biometrik telah menjadi perhatian sejak lama, dengan berbagai solusi autentikasi berdasarkan karakteristik seperti tanda tangan, sidik jari, integrasi wajah, geometri tangan, serta pemindaian iris dan retina. Penelitian ini berfokus pada seberapa efektif BioGuard OS dalam menggunakan teknologi tersebut untuk melindungi sistem dari berbagai ancaman siber.

Abstract

Abstract : This study explores the development of an innovative real-time operating system aimed at enhancing time precision for applications with very high timing requirements, utilizing both Windows and Linux operating systems. By investigating and analyzing novel techniques in task management, priority scheduling, and hardware-software interactions, this research seeks to ensure optimal real-time performance. The findings are expected to make significant contributions to the development of critical applications requiring high accuracy and strict timing precision, and provide insights into the implementation of real-time solutions within commonly used operating system platforms. Keyword : innovative system, RTOS, Linux, Windows, Robotic Abstrak : Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan sistem operasi real-time inovatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketepatan waktu dalam aplikasi dengan kebutuhan waktu yang sangat tinggi, dengan memanfaatkan sistem operasi Windows dan Linux. Melalui pendekatan ini, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis teknik-teknik baru dalam pengelolaan tugas, pengaturan prioritas, serta interaksi antara perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak untuk memastikan kinerja waktu nyata yang optimal. Hasil dari studi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan aplikasi kritikal yang memerlukan akurasi tinggi dan ketepatan waktu yang sangat ketat, serta memberikan wawasan tentang penerapan solusi real-time dalam platform sistem operasi yang umum digunakan. Abstract

Information technology continues to develop rapidly and can be used to make human work more accessible. In the world of education, students are expected to be able to adapt to the environment and create positive things using technology. Technology can be used in the world of education to support the development of student knowledge. Learning media is one of the factors that play an essential role in the teaching and learning process and knowledge development. The learning media used by the Showatul Is'Ad Islamic Boarding School teachers is textbooks that contain theories that cause students to get bored and not understand abstract material. Therefore, in the research, training was carried out in creating interactive and applicable learning media using the Assemblr Edu Augmented Reality Platform. Developing learning materials using AR can help students easily understand abstract theories by providing virtual, 3D materials and implementing them in the real world. The result of this activity is that the teacher has created learning media material for science subjects that explains body organs, making it easier for students to understand the actual representation of organs and their functions in 3D visual form.

Abstract

This research examines the Android operating system in the context of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications with a focus on the Moblo (AR) and Relax (VR) applications. Android, as the primary operating system in mobile devices, offers a powerful and flexible platform for AR and VR application development. Moblo is an AR application that allows users to design and visualize furniture in a real space, while Relax is a VR application that provides meditation and relaxation experiences in a virtual environment. This research aims to understand how the Android operating system supports the development and operationalization of AR and VR applications, as well as evaluating the performance and user experience of these two applications. The results show that Android provides significant support for AR and VR application development, with Moblo and Relax showing good performance and providing a satisfactory user experience. However, further optimization is needed to ensure consistent performance across Android devices.

Abstract

Network security is a crucial aspect in the IT world, especially the increasing activity of crecker in carrying out attacks without responsibility. cyberscape is an educational game that will be designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the importance of overcoming crecker attacks on the network. The method used in designing this game is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) approach. In the analysis stage, needs collection and determination of learning objectives are carried out. The design stage includes storyboarding and game design. Characters and other visual elements are designed using pixil art techniques to provide a unique and attractive appearance. The development stage involves creating game content, initial testing, and code implementation using Unity Game Engine integrated with C# programming language. The implementation stage includes the deployment of the game to users. The results showed that "Cyberscape" was effective in improving players' understanding of basic network security concepts. Users reported a significant increase in their knowledge of how to identify and overcome cracker attacks after playing the game. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations showed a high level of satisfaction among users, as well as an increased awareness of the importance of network security. With this approach, it is hoped that "Cyberscape" can be an effective tool in network security education and help reduce vulnerability to cracker attacks.
