Abstract

HIV/AIDS is a disease that continues to grow and become a global problem that requires special attention. This can be seen from the high number of cases of HIV/AIDS every year. In this study, we discussed an analysis of stability of a point equilibrium and numerical simulation for the spread of HIV/AIDS. The mathematical models that we used is SIA (Susceptibles, Infected, Abstained) model. The model of SIA assumed that sub populations infected will increase because of the influence of the transmission rate sub populations infected to sub population susceptibles. However, mode of transmission of HIV is possible if the transmission of individual of sub populations abstained to individual of sub population susceptibles. The result of the model indicate that population growth rate is determined by theese parameters: birth, death, interaction and isolation. Based on the result of the model simulation showed that the impact of the sub populations abstained would affect so reduced sub population infected.

Abstract

Pattern recognition is a process of recognizing patterns by using machine learning algorithm. Pattern recognition can be defined as a classification of data based on knowledge that already gained or information extracted from patterns. One method that can be used in pattern classification problem is SVM. In this study we introduced Twin Bounded SVM which is refinement of Twin SVM. The discussion begins with the linear Twin Bounded SVM method to solve a two-class classification problem and followed by an algorithm to solve multi-class classification problem

Abstract

Plagiarism is an act of plagiarizing the work of others who will then acknowledge the work as one's own work without mentioning the source of the work. This research aims to create a plagiarism detection system using the winnowing algorithm in MATLAB to prevent plagiarism in the final project of the Mathematics Department students. In order to get the best k-gram value and window size that will be used in the system, a testing process is carried out between document I (100% data) and document II (80% data) by using variations in k-gram values ​​and window sizes. The test results show that the best k-gram ​​and window size are 12 and 4.

Abstract

Suatu himpunan yang dilengkapi operasi penjumlahan dan pergandaan disebut semiring jika adalah monoid komutatif, adalah semigrup dan berlaku sifat distributif pada . Jika diberikan yaitu himpunan semua interval dari dan didefinisikan operasi penjumlahan dan pergandaan interval pada , maka merupakan semiring dan disebut semiring interval. Selanjutnya jika diberikan himpunan matriks yang entri-entrinya adalah koleksi interval dimana dengan dan didefinisikan operasi penjumlahan dan pergandaan matriks interval pada , maka merupakan semiring dan disebut semiring matriks interval. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas semiring matriks interval dan akan diperoleh struktur -semiring, -submsemiring dan -ideal semiring matriks interval. Selanjutnya akan diperoleh syarat cukup agar suatu semiring matriks interval merupakan -semiring dan dijelaskan hubungan antara -ideal matriks persegi interval dan -subsemiring matriks persegi interval.

Abstract

The transportation sector is one sector that contributes to economic development. Economic activity will develop if it has good infrastructure and transportation facilities for accessibility. This study aims to map regencies/cities in Maluku province based on the characteristics of the transportation sector. The method used is Biplot analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the results of mapping 11 regencies/cities in Maluku Province if grouped according to the location of the quadrant divided into 2 clusters, namely Cluster 1 consisting of the City Ambon, West Seram Regency, Central Maluku Regency, Buru Regency, Tual City, Southeast Maluku Regency, and Tanimbar Islands Regency. The seven regencies/cities have similar characteristics of the transportation sector in the percentage of villages where public transportation is available with fixed routes, the widest type of land surface is asphalt/concrete, and the road can be passed by four wheels throughout the year. While Cluster 2 consists of Eastern Seram Regency, South Buru Regency, Southwest Maluku Regency, and Aru Islands Regency. The four regencies have similar characteristics of the transportation sector in the percentage of villages based on the availability of land and sea transportation infrastructure, the availability of sea transportation infrastructure only, public transportation is not available or available without a fixed route, the widest type of land surface is in the form of soil or hardened with gravel, the road cannot be passed by four wheels or four wheels can pass but only in the dry season. Meanwhile, based on the Euclidean distance, it can be made more specific into 4 clusters, namely Cluster 1 is Ambon City, Cluster 2 includes West Seram Regency, Central Maluku Regency, Buru Regency, Tual City, Southeast Maluku Regency, and Tanimbar Islands Regency. Meanwhile, Cluster 3 includes Eastern Seram Regency, South Buru Regency, and Southwest Maluku Regency, and Cluster 4 is Aru Islands Regency.

Abstract

Emotion plays a fundamental role in human life, influencing behavior, social interaction, anddecision-making. Successful communication and understanding between individuals depend greatly on ourability to recognize and express emotions. In this context, sound or audio plays a key role as a medium thatreflects and conveys human emotional expression. In the era of information technology and artificialintelligence, emotion recognition through sound has become a growing focus of research. Machine learningalgorithms, particularly neural networks, can be trained to understand and classify emotions conveyed invarious forms, including text, images, videos, and audio. Among these algorithms, Convolutional NeuralNetwork (CNN) has shown promising performance in emotion classification tasks. In this study, thecomparison between Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) and Adaptive Moment Estimation (Adam)optimizers in emotion classification from audio using CNN is investigated. The research aims to determinethe optimal optimizer for emotion classification tasks. The results suggest that SGD optimizer outperformsAdam in terms of overall accuracy, with SGD achieving 53% accuracy compared to Adam's 48% accuracy inThe Ryerson Audio-Visual Database of Emotional Speech and Song (RAVDESS) dataset. Therefore, foremotion classification from audio data, Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) optimizer is recommended forbetter performance.

Abstract

Model matematika predator-prey merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk memahami dinamika populasi dalam ekosistem. Penelitian ini mengembangkan model predator-prey dengan fungsi respon Holling tipe II, di mana prey (mangsa) dapat terinfeksi penyakit dan predator mengalami pemanenan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membentuk model matematika dari sistem tersebut, menentukan titik kesetimbangan, menganalisis kestabilannya, serta melakukan simulasi guna memahami dinamika populasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan pendekatan numerik dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Matlab. Model yang dikembangkan mempertimbangkan tiga sub-populasi mangsa: mangsa sehat, mangsa terinfeksi, dan mangsa yang sedang dalam proses perawatan (treatment). Predator dalam model ini mengalami pemanenan, yang berarti populasinya berkurang akibat eksploitasi manusia. Analisis kestabilan dilakukan dengan mencari titik kesetimbangan sistem serta mengevaluasi kestabilannya menggunakan matriks Jacobian dan nilai eigen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa titik kesetimbangan dalam sistem, yaitu titik kesetimbangan trivial, semi-trivial, dan non-trivial. Titik kesetimbangan trivial terjadi ketika seluruh populasi punah. Titik kesetimbangan semi-trivial terjadi dalam beberapa skenario, seperti ketika predator punah, mangsa sehat tidak ada, atau mangsa terinfeksi tidak ada. Sementara itu, titik kesetimbangan non-trivial menggambarkan kondisi di mana semua populasi eksis dan berinteraksi dalam keseimbangan dinamis. Simulasi numerik menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan infeksi dan pemanenan dapat mempengaruhi kestabilan sistem dan pola interaksi predator-prey secara signifikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa faktor infeksi pada prey dan pemanenan pada predator memiliki dampak besar terhadap keseimbangan ekosistem. Pemanenan yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan kepunahan predator, yang selanjutnya dapat menyebabkan ledakan populasi mangsa atau ketidakseimbangan ekosistem. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disarankan agar dilakukan studi lebih lanjut dengan mempertimbangkan faktor lingkungan lainnya, seperti variasi tingkat infeksi dan kebijakan pengelolaan pemanenan predator, untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem secara lebih realistis.
