Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to do customer segmentation in retail companies by implementing the Recency Frequency Monetary (RFM) K-Means cluster model and algorithm optimized by the Elbow method. Methods: This study uses several methods. The RFM model method was chosen to segment customers because it is one of the optimal methods for segmenting customers. The K-Means cluster algorithm method was chosen because it is easy to interpret, implement, fast in convergence, and adapt, but lacks sensitivity to the initial partitioning of the number of clusters. To help classify each category of customers and know the level of loyalty, they use a combination of the RFM model and the K-Means method. The Elbow method is used to improve the performance of the K-Means algorithm by correcting the weakness of the K-Means algorithm, which helps to choose the optimal k value to be used when clustering.Result: This research produces customer segmentation 3 clusters with a Sum of Square Error (SSE) value of 25,829.39 and a Callinski-Harabaz Index (CHI) value of 36,625.89. The SSE and CHI values are the largest ones, so they are the optimal cluster values.Novelty: The application of the integrated RFM model and the K-Means cluster algorithm optimized by the Elbow method can be used as a method for customer segmentation.

Abstract

Differentiated instruction, as the application of the ‘teaching at the right level’ principle, which involves tailoring teaching to student’s needs and the diversity of their interests and readiness, needs to be developed in Merdeka Curriculum implementation. This research aimed to measure the influence of learning components, including variables such as planning, implementation, and learning assessment, as well as learning elements, including variables such as content, processes, learning outcomes, and the learning environment, on the potential for differentiated instruction in elementary and secondary education. This research employed a quantitative method, using path analysis to measure the significance of the influence of independent variables (learning components and learning elements) on the potential for differentiated instruction. The results indicated that three variables significantly influence the Potential for Differentiated Instruction (Y), namely: Learning Components/ Learning Assessment (X3) with a t-value of 12.817 > ttable1,985; Learning Elements/ Learning Processes (X5) with a t-value of 10.223 > t ttable 1,985; and Learning Outcomes/ Achievements (X6) t-value 9.817 > ttable 1,985. Thus, the potential for differentiated instruction in Merdeka Curriculum implementation in elementary and secondary education can be maximized if teachers can plan and implement learning assessments accurately, manage differentiated instruction processes, and apply differentiated instruction outcomes.

Abstract

Aloe vera was often wasted, even though it actually has many benefits. During a morning walk in the Taman Kradenan Asri housing complex, many aloe vera plants were found to be thrown away. When asked to the owner of the plant, why were so many of his aloe vera plants thrown away? The owner of the aloe vera replied that this plant grows very quickly, even though its use was only a little, namely for washing hair as a shampoo supplement and its mucus to help heal minor wounds. This fact encouraged community service activities to be carried out in the housing complex, namely through training for mothers of the Dasa Wisma. This community service activity aims to describe skills and knowledge in developing higher quality aloe vera which could later be used to produce processed products for mothers who are members of the Dasa Wisma in RW 11, Sukorejo Village in Semarang City. Abstract

The use of carbon fiber (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) in the automotive component industry produces significant waste, reaching 15-20% of the total raw materials. The community service partner, BPM Carbon Works Semarang, previously handled this waste by incineration, which caused environmental and economic problems. This community service program aims to address these problems through the application of Forged Carbon Compression Split Molding (FCCSM) technology. The methods used include lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and assistance in designing two- and four-part split molds, as well as processing carbon fiber waste into commercially valuable products. The results of the activity show that the amount of partner waste is reduced from 20% to 5%, and partner understanding increases significantly with N-Gain scores of 0.73 and 0.75 (high category). In addition, partner profits increase by 15%. This program not only solves environmental problems, but also empowers the partner's economy, in line with the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). Thus, it can be concluded that FCCSM technology is effective in achieving a zero-waste industry, and ongoing mentoring and collaboration with local governments are recommended.

Abstract

The high levels of air pollution and noise from motor vehicles cause negative impacts on the environment and health. Innovation in exhaust systems is needed to address this issue. This study aims to analyze the effect of different exhaust types on noise levels and exhaust gas emissions in a Honda 110 cc motorcycle. The independent variable in this study is the type of exhaust (standard, free flow, and AHLM), while the dependent variables include noise level (dB) and emissions of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC). The control variables include measurement distance, engine operating temperature (80°C to 90°C), and fuel type (RON 90). The research method uses a quantitative experimental approach with a sound level meter to measure noise and a gas analyzer for exhaust emissions. Data analysis was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test to determine differences among exhaust variations. The statistical test results showed no significant difference (p > 0.05) in noise levels and exhaust emissions among the three types of exhaust. However, descriptively, the AHLM muffler performed best, reducing noise by up to 5.88% compared to free flow, and decreasing CO emissions by 17% and HC by 1%. This study is limited to testing one type of motorcycle and laboratory conditions, so the results do not yet represent actual traffic conditions. Thus, the AHLM muffler has the potential to be an adaptive exhaust system innovation that is more environmentally friendly and effective in reducing noise and motor vehicle emissions.

Abstract

Motor vehicle emissions and energy efficiency are key concerns in developing environmentally friendly automotive technologies, particularly for small-capacity motorcycles, which remain the dominant mode of transportation in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of using the AHLM (Adaptive High-Performance, Low-Pollution Muffler) on fuel consumption and engine performance in a Honda 110 cc motorcycle. The research employed a comparative experimental method using three types of exhaust systems: standard, free flow, and AHLM. Tests were conducted using an engine dynamometer to measure torque and power, and a fuel consumption tester to record the time required to consume 10 ml (0.0074 kg) of fuel, calculated using the conversion formula m = (V_ml / 1000) × ρ, at three engine speeds: 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm, and 3500 rpm. The results show that the free flow exhaust produced the highest torque and power, at 10.9 Nm and 11.7 HP at 9000 rpm, respectively, but with higher fuel consumption. Conversely, the AHLM exhaust demonstrated better fuel efficiency, with consumption rates of 0.083 kg/h at 1500 rpm, 0.317 kg/h at 2500 rpm, and 0.416 kg/h at 3500 rpm, closely matching the efficiency of the standard exhaust. Although its peak power was slightly lower, the AHLM maintained stable torque and efficient combustion across all engine speeds. In conclusion, the AHLM exhaust system provides an optimal balance between performance and energy efficiency, offering potential as an adaptive exhaust technology that is both effective and environmentally friendly for small-capacity motorcycles.
