Abstract

Rockfall cases are a natural and dynamic geologic process, commonly occur within mountainous areas near by the cliffs undercut by human for developing building or highway. This paper aims are to; (i) identify parameters of slope surface, and (ii)  simulates rockfall process. Case study of slope was taken in the quarry at the Kloch, Austria. This paper revealed 7 (seven) slope surface parameters for this slope, including; dynamic and static friction angles were 350, normal and tangential damping were 0.2 and 0.95,  rolling resistance 0.2 to 0.3, amplitude of roughness 0, and frequency of roughness 1. These results were than treated as an input data in simulating the rockfall. Based on the simulation, it was identified that within the 15 m of the Kloch height, the rocfall would yield the average of kinetic energy of 240 kJ, and 0.5 m of bounce height. Hence, in order to reduce rockfall risk to road way close to the cliff toe area, it is recommended to extend road shoulder at 5-10 meters from the slope or construct an appropriate rockfall barrier that is in capable to restrain energy kinetic of 250 kJ and the height of barrier minimum 1 m.

Abstract

Semakin maraknya fenomena anak di bawah umur yang telah bisa berkendara sepeda motor dewasa ini semakin memprihatinkan. Salah satu faktor yang ditengarai menjadi penyebabnya adalah izin orang tua terhadap anak untuk berkendara. Untuk itu studi ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran perilaku berkendara anak di bawah umur ditinjau dari izin dan persepsi orang tua. Responden studi ini adalah orang tua siswa SMP di 13 sekolah di Kota Tegal. Pemilihan sekolah dilakukan secara purposive sampling, dengan jumlah responden 711 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam studi ini adalah kuesioner yang disajikan secara online. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 37% responden yang melaporkan bahwa anaknya sudah bisa mengendarai sepeda motor. Mayoritas responden yang anaknya sudah bisa berkendara sepeda motor mengizinkan anaknya tersebut berkendara (64,3%). Terdapat 5,6% responden yang anaknya belum bisa berkendara sepeda motor berpeluang untuk mengizinkan anaknya tersebut berkendara. Mayoritas responden mempersepsikan bahwa anak di bawah umur sudah bisa berkendara sepeda motor merupakan perilaku yang berbahaya, tidak menguntungkan, dan melanggar peraturan lalu lintas. Diperlukan studi lebih lanjut untuk mengungkap faktor-faktor berperan penting dalam mendorong orang tua untuk mengjinkan anaknya berkendara.

Abstract

In the field of road traffic and transportation, road inventory activities are needed to monitor or monitor the condition of road equipment. The proper data collection will facilitate evaluation and supervision by managers or supervisors of traffic and road transportation. The data collection of road equipment inventory data can be compiled manually or electronically, which is integrated with the road equipment information system. One of the electronic data collections is by utilizing QGIS, which is one part of the Geographic Information System (GIS). This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using QGIS in making road equipment inventory maps using survey data and questionnaires to determine the difference between manual inventory data collection and WebGIS-based inventory data collection. Data analysis used SPSS calculation to test data validity, reliability, normality, Wilcoxon test and N-Gain Score test. From this data, it is found that the use of QGIS in road equipment inventory mapping has an average effectiveness of 60.26%, with the interpretation criteria being quite effective.

Abstract

Rockfalls are a natural and dynamic geologic process and is common in mountainous areas near cliffs of broken, faulted, or jointed bedrock, on steep slopes of rocky soils, or where cliffy bedrock ledges are undercut by erosion or human activity. Simulation of rock falls, along with analyzing kinetic energy and bounce height, can result in providing protection measures in the right places with the least costs. In this study, slopes that were analyzed is a manmade slope in quarry at Kloch, Austria.   Three different construction alternatives or barrier were then proposed:(i) constructing of a catchfences with a capacity to restrain the rockfall energy about 100 - 5000 kJ, (ii) construction of concrete barrier with the capacity up to 100 kJ, and (iii) construction of a wooden retaining wall with the capacity up to 30 kJ. Keywords: Simulation, Rockfall, barriers, slope

Abstract

The increase in population and the number of motorized vehicles is a factor causing the increase in traffic accidents. In the city of Pekanbaru there is an increase in the number of residents by 2.3% each year and an increase in the number of motorized vehicles by 6.8%. Traffic accidents in Pekanbaru were recorded as many as 576 incidents in the 2018-2020 period with the death toll increasing every year, added up to 38, 40, and 53 people. For this reason, this study aims to identify accident-prone locations, analyze accident characteristics, and develop strategies for handling accident-prone locations in the city of Pekanbaru. Identification of accident-prone locations is carried out using the frequency, AEK, and UCL methods. Analysis of accident characteristics is carried out using the 5W+1H approach. The results of the study indicate that the accident-prone location is the Jl. Siak II, Sp. Palas-City Boundary, and Jl. Yos Sudarso. Analysis of accident characteristics shows that the dominant type of accident that occurs is due to lack of anticipation with the type of front-to-front collision, involving a motorcycle, and occurring during the day. This study recommends 3 recommendations, namely: Traffic Engineering, Education, and Law Enforcement.

Abstract

The development of technology and information is growing very fast. Learning Physics is a science that refers to natural phenomena. Physics in the delivery of material in class is done by using lectures, demos, and practicum methods in the laboratory. Many physics teachers are not optimal in utilizing technology. In this activity the author tries to contribute to guiding high school teachers in Tegal City in making a simulation-based virtual laboratory using the help of modellus software. In this activity, teachers are expected to understand how to create and develop a simulation-based virtual laboratory with the help of modellus software. Community Service Activities (PKM) are carried out online or distance learning in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. In general, participants rated the activity as 5% Fair, 75% Good and 20% Very Good

Abstract

The behavior of drivers in the Tegal City school community often violates traffic rules because they do not understand and are not aware of traffic safety. Increased knowledge, understanding, awareness and skills of teachers regarding traffic safety need to be increased and empowered more massively. Empowering school teachers regarding traffic safety includes 4 stages (preparation, initial test, community empowerment, and final test) with traffic safety community results. 240 PAUD/TK/RA, SD/MI, SMP/MTs, and SMA/SMK/MA teachers as participants for 2 days with 7 topics. The majority of participants consisted of bachelor's degrees (89.6%), women (55.8%), ages 36-46 (35%), and PAUD teachers (25.8%). The initial test for 7 topics is still between 20%. Activities on the first day are stages 1-4 and on the second day stages 5-7. The final test of 7 topics is above 75%. 7 topics had an increase of more than 55%. Increasing school teachers' knowledge has an impact on imparting knowledge to students about traffic safety which can be a step to reduce the occurrence of accidents on the road.

Abstract

Sektor parkir di Yogyakarta memiliki peranan penting dalam mendukung pembangunan kota dengan kontribusinya terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Pada tahun 2023, penerimaan pajak parkir berhasil melampaui target, yang menunjukkan perlunya pengoptimalan manajemen parkir untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Untuk mencapai target PAD sebesar Rp1 triliun pada tahun 2025, diperlukan pemantauan yang intensif dan pengoptimalan penerimaan pajak. Peraturan Daerah Nomor 1 Tahun 2020 dan Peraturan Walikota Nomor 149 Tahun 2020 menyediakan landasan hukum bagi peningkatan kualitas layanan parkir. Juru parkir memainkan peran sentral dalam pelayanan, sehingga pelatihan dan peningkatan kapasitas mereka sangat diperlukan untuk menjamin profesionalisme dan keselamatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang direncanakan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman juru parkir mengenai keselamatan lalu lintas, pengenalan rambu, etika profesi, dan pengaturan parkir yang aman. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi ceramah, tanya jawab, dan demonstrasi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan juru parkir tentang keselamatan kerja, yang berdampak positif pada kualitas layanan di area parkir. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan parkir yang aman dan tertib di Kota Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Abstrak. Berjalan kaki merupakan pilihan yang tepat dalam melakukan perpindahan dalam jarak dekat, tetapi moda trasnportasi ini dianggap kelompok yang rentan dan memiliki resiko tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai indeks kelayakan berjalan dan persepsi pengguna terhadap kelayakan berjalan kaki serta melakukan analisis potensi bahaya untuk merumuskan rekomendasi. Evaluasi usulan fasilitas berdasarkan indeks kelayakan berjalan yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi lapangan serta penilaia perepsi pengguna. Hasil analisis berdasarkan observasi menunjukkan indeks kelayakan berjalan kurang memadai dengan nilai 48,57. Persepsi pengguna terhadap indeks kelayakan berjalan juga menunjukkan kategori kurang memadai dengan nilai 48,54. Beberapa parameter dengan skor rendah meliputi infrastruktur pendukung untuk pejalan kaki berkebutuhan khusus, kondisi jalur pejalan kaki yang berbagi ruang dengan moda transportasi lain, keberadaan penghalang, serta ketersediaan dan kualitas fasilitas penyeberangan. Analisis HIRA mengidentifikasi 22 potensi bahaya, dengan tingkat risiko sedang sebesar 64%, risiko tinggi 32%, dan risiko ekstrem 4%. Rekomendasi perbaikan mencakup peningkatan kualitas guiding block, pemasangan bollard pada akses jalan ramah disabilitas, penyediaan fasilitas penyeberangan yang memadai seperti zebra cross, serta penghapusan penghalang yang mengurangi lebar efektif jalur pejalan kaki.Abstract. Walking is the best way to travel short distances, however pedestrians are considered vulnerable and at risk. The objective of this research is to analyze the walking feasibility index and user perceptions on the feasibility of walking. Additionally, the study will identify potential hazards and provide recommendations based on the findings. The walkability index values are calculated from on-site inspections and assessments of user perception.Based on the measurements, the study results indicate that the walkability index at Pandanaran is inadequate with a value of 48.57. The user perception also indicates an inadequate category with an overall score of 48.54 Several parameters that receive low ratings include infrastructure for pedestrians with special needs, the condition of pedestrian paths, barriers, and the availability and condition of crossing facilities.The HIRA analysis identified a total of 22 hazards, with a 64% moderate risk level, a 32% high risk level, and a 4% extreme risk level. The recommendations for enhancing pedestrian infrastructure encompass repairing guiding block, installing bollards at disabled-friendly sidewalk entrances to prevent motorbikes from entering the sidewalk, adding sufficient crossing facilities like zebra crossings, and eliminating obstacles that obstruct the effective width of pedestrian pathways.

Abstract

Kampung Inggris Pare menjadi salah satu kawasan yang menarik masyarakat dari luar kota untuk datang untuk belajar memperdalam ilmu berbahasa inggris. Mayoritas orang yang datang ke Kampung Inggris adalah masyarakat yang tidak membawa kendaraan pribadi, dalam melakukan mobilitasnya mereka lebih memilih menggunakan sepeda untuk kegiatan sehari-harinya. Potensi demand ini didukung dengan banyaknya tempat persewaan sepeda di sepanjang ruas Jalan Brawijaya, yang terletak di jantung Kampung Inggris, hal ini menjadi salah satu sebab mengapa sepeda menjadi salah satu moda transportasi yang banyak digunakan di Kampung Inggris. Jalan Brawijaya menjadi salah satu ruas yang banyak dilewati oleh pengguna sepeda, karena di ruas inilah para pesepada banyak berlalu lalang untuk menuju tempat kursusnya, namun belum terdapat fasilitas yang memadai bagi pesepeda yakni belum terdapat lajur khusus sepeda. Diperlukan analisis perencanaan kebutuhan lajur khusus sepeda, dan pengadaan pemenuhan perlengkapan jalan agar menjadi jalan yang aman, nyaman dan selamat bagi pesepeda. Pengadaan lajur khusus sepeda diharapkan agar pada Jalan Brawijaya tidak terjadi mix traffic antara pesepeda dengan kendaraan bermotor. Dengan penerapan perencanaan lajur khusus sepeda dengan tipe C, nilai tingkat pelayanan jalan di Jalan Brawijaya tetap A, yang menunjukkan adanya lajur khusus sepeda tidak mempengaruhi lalu lintas yang ditimbulkan, dan keselamatan bagi pesepeda dapat ditingkatkan.
