Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan abad 21 yang harus dikuasai siswa adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, diperlukan suatu instrumen yang dapat mengukur kemampuan tersebut. Artikel ini memperkenalkan penggunaaan Rasch Model untuk mengembangkan instrumen pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada topik kimia, terutama topik ikatan kimia. Berdasarkan analisis Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dan Indikator Berpikir Kritis, indikator soal dirancang. Berdasarkan indikator soal, butir soal beserta kunci jawaban dan pedoman penskoran dikembangkan. Instrumen terdiri dari 13 soal tipe uraian yang divalidasi oleh dua orang pakar dan direvisi berdasarkan masukan yang diberikan. Instrumen diujicobakan kepada 51 siswa SMA di Tanjungpinang. Model Rasch parsial-kredit diterapkan pada data hasil uji coba untuk memeriksa kualitas tiap butir soal dan kualitas instrumen secara keseluruhan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 12 dari 13 item soal memenuhi kriteria soal yang baik menurut Rasch Model dengan reliabilitas instrumen 0,72 (cukup). Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Rasch model untuk mengembangkan instrumen pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam bidang kimia cukup menjanjikan.

Abstract

A scientific paper containing innovative work in the learning process is needed by teachers as requirement in upgrading their rank in their professional development, including senior high school/equivalent teachers in Bintan Regency. However, generally they get difficulties in making scientific work was caused difficulty in finding relevant reference sources relate to research topic, limited knowledge in information technology and avoid plagiarism check. The purpose of this activity is to guide high school/equivalent teachers in Bintan regency in order to capable to make correct scientific papers good free from plagiarism with the help of Mendeley reference management. Implementation of activities in the form of workshop or training with lecture methods, discussions, question and answer, and projects. The activity was carried out for two days in the form of workshop and two days in the form of independent assignments. This community service activity was considered successful since 80% participants increasing their knowledge of Mendeley's reference management and being able to apply the knowledge in writing free plagiarizm scientific paper.

Abstract

Pada umumnya peserta didik cenderung belajar dengan hafalan daripada secara aktif mencari tahu untuk membangun pemahaman mereka sendiri terhadap konsep ilmu kimia. Adapun tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berfikir peserta didik melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dan untuk membangun pembelajaran bermakna yang diterapkan melalui model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) untuk kimia di SMA. Kita ketahui pada pembelajaran kimia terutama pada materi-materi tertentu bersifat abstrak akibatnya peserta didik tidak mampu menghubungkan konsep yang diperlukan untuk memahami konsep yang lain. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan suatu strategi pembelajara yang dapat digunakan pendidik, yaitu salah satunya model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL)

Abstract

One effort to improve student learning outcomes is to choose teaching media that are appropriate and attract students' attention. The media developed is a three-dimensional ball teaching media.The purpose of this study is to develop three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media, to find out the validity level of three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media, to find out the practicalities of the three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media that have been developed. This research is a type of Research and Development (R & D) research using a 4D development model, namely define, design, develop, and dessiminatebut is limited to the develop stage. The teaching media developed were validated by media experts and material experts. The subject of this research trial was a chemistry teacher to find out the practicality of three-dimensional atomic balls teaching media, and 20 students of East Siantan 1 High School to find out the practicality of three-dimensional atomic balls. The method used to analyze data uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the validity of three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media for atomic structure material was obtained from the results of a media expert's assessment of 95.19% with very valid criteria, and the material expert's assessment was 81.23% with very valid criteria.The practicality test results were obtained from teacher responses of 92.5% with very practical criteria, and 81.41% student responses with very practical criteria. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that atomic ball teaching media in three dimensions of atomic structure are worthy of being used as learning media by teachers and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze students' critical thinking skills in the Chemistry Bond subject. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The participant of this research were 190 grade X and XI students from several high schools in Tanjungpinang city. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling at several schools accredited A and B by BSNP. Data collection techniques used 8 test instruments representing 4 aspects of critical thinking, including aspects of providing explanations, building basic skills, managing strategies-tactics, and concluding. Classically, the critical thinking ability of high school students Tanjungpinang city on the Chemical Bond subject is still relatively low with average score is 34.45.

Abstract

Sebuah karya tulis ilmiah yang berisi karya inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran sangat diperlukan oleh guru-guru sebagai syarat kenaikan pangkat dalam pengembangan profesi mereka, termasuk guru-guru SMA/sederajat di Kabupaten Bintan. Namun, pada umumnya mereka mengalami kendala dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah disebabkan kesulitan dalam mencari sumber referensi yang relevan dengan topik penelitian, keterbatasan pengetahuan dalam TIK, dan kesulitan dalam mengolah kalimat agar tidak terdeteksi sebagai kegiatan plagiasi. Tujuan kegiatan ini agar para guru SMA/sederajat di Kabupaten Bintan dapat membuat karya tulis ilmiah yang sesuai kaedah penulisan yang baik dan bebas plagiasi dengan bantuan manajemen referensi Mendeley. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dalam bentuk workshop/pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan projek. Kegiatan dilakukan selama dua hari dalam bentuk workshop dan dua hari dalam bentuk tugas mandiri. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dianggap berhasil karena sebesar 80% peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang manajemen referensi Mendeley dan mampu mengaplikasikannya ke dalam bentuk karya tulis ilmiah yang bebas plagiasiKata Kunci: GMP; Terasi Tutok, Standarisasi; Kuala Pusing Kapal.Development of Mendeley Reference Assisted Scientific Writing Ability Management for High Schools Teachers in BintanAbstractA scientific paper containing innovative work in the learning process is very much needed by teachers as a condition of promotion in their professional development, including high school / equivalent teachers in the Bintan Regency. However, in general, they experience difficulties in making scientific papers due to difficulties in finding reference sources that are relevant to the research topic, limited knowledge in ICT, and difficulty in processing sentences so as not to be detected as plagiarism activities. The purpose of this activity is for high school / equivalent teachers in Bintan Regency to be able to make scientific papers in accordance with good writing methods and to be free of plagiarism with the help of Mendeley's reference management. The implementation of this activity is in the form of workshops/training using lecture, discussion, question and answer, and project methods. The activity was carried out for two days in the form of a workshop and two days in the form of an independent assignment. This community service activity was considered successful because 80% of the participants experienced an increase in knowledge about Mendeley's reference management and were able to apply it in the form of plagiarism-free scientific papers.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the practicality and effectiveness of educational game media using the Lectora Inspire application on chemical equilibrium. This study used research and development (R&D) methods, with the ADDIE research model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In this study only the Implementation and Evaluation stage was carried out. The test subjects in this study were 2 teachers and 20 students of class XI IPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Tanjungpinang. The results of practicality tests using teacher questionnaire responses was 88% with the category of very practical and in terms of student responses, it was obtained a percentage of 84% with very practical criteria. In the aspect of effectiveness obtained learning outcomes with pretest and posttest scores N-Gain 0.5 results in the medium category. Based on the results of evaluations conducted by educative game media using the Lectora Inspire application on chemical equilibrium, it is declared practical, and effective for use.

Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang telah dilakukan, kurangnya media pembelajaran menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi di tingkat sekolah menengah atas, khususnya pada mata pelajaran kimia, terutama pada materi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia interaktif dengan konteks kemaritiman pada materi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Alessi dan Trollip dengan tiga tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Untuk mengukur kualitas multimedia interaktif dilakukan uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Hasil validasi media dan materi pada multimedia interaktif dengan konteks kemaritiman pada materi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi diperoleh hasil 89.28% dan 84.37% dengan kategori sangat valid dan layak diujicobakan kepada guru dan peserta didik. Hasil praktikalitas multimedia interaktif dengan konteks kemaritiman pada materi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi terhadap guru dan peserta didik diperoleh 87.5% dan 82% dengan kriteria sangat praktis.
