Abstract

Senyawa antikanker dapat dilakukan skrining dengan metode BSLT.Metodei ini merupakan metode awal dan salah satu cara yang cepatserta murah untuk penapisan toksisitas dari ekstrak tanaman denganmenggunakan hewan laut yaitu larva udang Artemia salina Leach.Berdasarkan alasan tersebut, maka uji ini sangat tepat digunakandalam mengawali penelitian bahan alam. Penelitian ini dilakukanuntuk skrining toksisitas daun ketepeng, kulit buah pisang ambon dankulit rimpang kencur dengan metode BSLT sebagai uji awal untukmengetahui bioaktivitas. Selain BSLT, juga dilakukan penapisanfitokimia. Hasil penelitian dengan metode BSLT dari ekstrak etilasetat daun ketepeng, kulit buah pisang ambon, dan kulit rimpangkencur menunjukkan LC50 masing-masing sebesar 59,14 ppm,146,78 ppm, dan kurang dari 10 ppm. Hasil penapisan fitokimiamenunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etil asetat daun ketepeng hanya terdapatflavonoid, ekstrak etil asetat kulit buah pisang ambon terdapatflavonid dan terpenoid; dan kulit rimpang kencur terdapat alkaloiddan terpenoid. Ekstrak etil asetat kulit rimpang kencur menunjukanaktivitas tertinggi dan pontesial sebagai antikanker, maka perludilakukan isolasi dan identifikasi sehingga diperoleh senyawa aktif.Anticancer compounds can be screened by the BSLT method. Thismethod is an early method and one of the quickest and cheapest waysto screen the toxicity of plant extract using marine animals shrimplarvae Artemia salina Leach. Based on these reasons, this researchwas very appropriate to use in initiating the research of naturalmaterials. This research was conducted for toxicity screening ofketepeng leaf, banana peel and kencur rhizome skin by BSLT methodas preliminary test to know bioactivity. Besides BSLT, phytochemicalscreening is also performed. The result of BSLT method from theextract of ethyl acetate of ketepeng leaf, banana peel, and kencurrhizome skin showed LC50 of 59.14 ppm, 146,78 ppm and less than10 ppm, respectively. The results of phytochemical screening showedthat the extract of ethyl acetate of ketepeng leaf contained onlyflavonoid, ethyl acetate extract of banana peel contained flavonoidand terpenoid; and kencur rhizome skin kencur contain alkaloid andterpenoid. The ethyl acetate extract of the skin of kencur rhizome skinshows the highest activity and pontesial as anticancer, it is necessaryto isolate and identify so that the active compound is obtained.

Abstract

Quality of compound content in the plant could be influenced bymany factor, it could be the origin of the plant, the body part of theplant being tested, and the character of the extract. Erythrinalithosperma Miq locally known as dadap serep, is a plant thatcommonly spread in the area Pekalongan. The purpose of thisresearch is to identify the character of simplicia and extract fromdadap serep. Characterization using the standardization procedureextract issued by Indonesia National Agency of Drug and FoodControl (BPOM). Characterization was performed on simplicia andethanol 96% extract of leaves. Characterization of simplicia includeorganoleptis, drying shrinkage, water soluble extract, and solubleethanol content. Characterization of ethanol extracts include nonspecificcharacteristics i.e. moisture content, total ash content, andacid soluble ash content. The result of characterization is obtainedappropriate with specification by the range value of each type ofsimplicia parameter and ethanol extract of leaves dadap serepobtained from Pekalongan area.

Abstract

Piroxicam is one of the NSAID drug that common used in inflammation. Utilizing of herbal medicine along with synthetic drugs can lead to certain interactions, especially the occurrence of pharmacokinetic drug profile changes. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of addition of soursop leaf extract againt pharmacokinetic piroxicam profile. The method used was cross sectional using 6 rabbits, the data were analyzed statistically with t-test using SPSS version 21 program. The results showed that the piroxicam treatment had Cmax = 0.650 ?g / ml, tmax = 3 hours, t ½ = 0.693 hours, and AUC = 0.597 hours.?g / ml, while on treatment of combination of piroksikam with soursop leaf extract have value of Cmax = 0,683 ?g / ml, tmax = 1 hour, t ½ = 0,693 hours, and AUC = 0,652 jam.?g / ml. The result of data analysis using T test showed that there was significant difference in AUC value (p <0,05). These results suggest that the addition of soursop leaf extract may affect the piroxicam pharmacokinetic profile.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to synthesize the compound of Precursor of ABA from MSG the starting material by structural modification as well as to determine the characteristics and physical properties of the synthesis compound. It was done by modification of chemical structure starting with glutamic acid isolation from MSG. Then it isolate reacted with AlCl3 to obtain the ABA compound precursor. The rendemen was 18.5%, of synthesis identification obtained of white powder, odorless, dissolves in hot water and melt at a temperature of 187-189 0C. The UV-Vis spectrophotometry showed that the synthesis process formed a new compound. Confirm with HPLC analysis.

Abstract

Antioksidan adalah senyawa yang menghambat efek negatif dari radikal bebas, Noni (Morinda citrifolia L) memiliki senyawa fenolik seperti itu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi perbedaan aktivitas antioksidan daun, daging buah dan ekstrak etanol biji noni Morinda citrifolia L. dengan metode pembilasan radikal bebas DPPH. Uji aktivitas antioksidan diukur dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis dan data dianalisis dengan ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daun, daging buah dan ekstrak etanol biji noni Morinda citrifolia L. memiliki total fenolik 47.10 ± 1.73, 18.10 ± 0.00 dan 108.43 ± 1.52 mg GAE / g ekstrak, flavonoid total 15.97 ± 0.03, 3.83 ± 0.15 dan 6.18 ± 0,21 mgQE / g ekstrak., Sementara nilai IC50 374,29 ± 4,14, 442,40 ± 5,78, dan 59,22 ± 0,68 ?g / mL, masing-masing. Analisis ANOVA memiliki perbedaan dengan nilai signifikansi (p-value) <0,05.

Abstract

Nanoparticles delivery system of of herbal preparations and their combinations has received more attention from scientists recently. This combination might lead to chemical reactions among the added constituents. This study aims to compare the FT-IR profile of Carbopol-940 base before and after the addition of soursop extract and zinc oxide nanoparticle. The preparation is made by mixing the base with Annona muricata nano-extracts and nano-zinc. Extraction was carried out by cold maceration of A. muricata leaves in ethanol and then convert into nanoparticles with the assisting of Chitosan biopolymer by ionic gelation method. Nano-zinc is formulated by precipitating zinc acetate by sodium hydroxide. The two nano-formulas were then mixed up into the Carbopol-940 gel matrix. The results show a shift in the profile of Carbopol-940 at a wavelength of 1500 nm to 1700 nm. From the results, it can be seen that there is no difference in the physical characteristics of the base with the addition of the two nano active ingredients. Further research needs to be done to confirm this finding.
