Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of "Shredder Machine (SM)" and "Empty Fruit Bunch Press (EFBP) Machine" to reduce oil losses from palm oil empty fruit bunches, as well as analysis of economic aspects. This study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatments in fifteen groups as replicates. The parameters observed were oil losses, as well as efficiency and effectiveness of SM and EFBP machines, recovery costs, and economic aspects (fixed and variable costs). The result was efficiency (66.82%), effectiveness (91.59%).Assuming 50% of the processed empty bunches can recover oil losses equivalent to Rp 27,215,790 per day or Rp 7,321,047,505 per year. The fixed costwas Rp 629,366,250 and the variable cost was Rp 132,738,534, so the profit from the use of SM and EFBP Machinewas Rp 6,558,942,721 per year.

Abstract

The sterilization of oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) purpose is to deactivate the lipase enzyme, soften the fruit pulp, and loosen the fruit from the bunch, an important process affecting oil quality. Palm oil mills generally require around 410-455 tonnes of water to produce steam in the sterilization process using boiling vessels and produce 36 tonnes of liquid waste. One way to reduce liquid waste is the development of the use of microwaves. Research on the use of microwaves in palm fruit sterilization will be the basis for developing microwave designs that are suitable for the CPO industry with capacities of hundreds or thousands of tonnes. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of microwave oven sterilization time on the characteristics of oil palm fruit. This research used a completely randomized design with 7 treatment levels and 4 replications to obtain 28 experimental units. The treatment used was sterilization using a boiling vessel (T0) and the sterilization time for oil palm fruit using a microwave oven: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 minutes will be analyzed using SPSS at 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that sterilization of oil palm fruit using boiling vessels and microwave ovens have a significant effect on sterilization temperature, water content, yield, Free Fatty Acid, Deterioration of Bleachability Index (DOBI) and carotene. The best treatment is sterilization of oil palm fruit using a microwave oven for 7 minutes with sterilization temperature parameters 94.06ºC, water content 0.55%, yield 17.81%, FFA 0.51%, DOBI 3.88nm and carotene 675.52ppm.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan suatu penyakit dimana terdapat kadar gula yang berlebihan di dalam tubuh. Saat ini banyak masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui tentang gejala-gejala penyakit diabetes mellitus, itu disebabkan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap penyakit tersebut. Sehingga diperlukan sistem yang dapat membantu masyarakat untuk mengetahui penyakit diabetes mellitus. Sistem ini dibuat untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa gejala-gejala penyakit diabetes mellitus pada penderita dan memberi langkah pencegahan serta solusi pengobatan sistem ini dibuat dengan mengkombinasikan dua metode yaitu metode Naive Bayes dan Certainty Factor. Metode Certainty Factor adalah menyelesaikan ketidakpastian dan metode Naive Bayes adalah mengatasi ketidakpastian data dengan menggunakan formula bayes. Dari hasil penelitian, perbandingan penyakit dari tempat penelitian terhadap 60 pasien diperoleh hasil bahwa persentase keberhasilan diabetes mellitus tidak bergantung insulin tipe 1 memiliki nilai sebesar 64.3% sedangkan pada penyakit diabetes mellitus bergantung insulin tipe 2 memiliki nilai sebesar 35.7%Kata kunci: Sistem Pakar, Penyakit Diabetes Mellitus, Naive Bayes, Certainty Factor

Abstract

This research delves into the influence of discount strategies on consumer ratings within the e-commerce landscape, particularly on Amazon. A logistic regression model assessed how discount percentages and product categories affect consumer ratings. The study followed a rigorous methodology, beginning with comprehensive data collection across diverse product categories on Amazon. This was succeeded by a detailed exploratory data analysis (EDA), data preprocessing, and subsequent model building. The model was then subjected to an extensive evaluation process, encompassing accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC metrics. The evaluation revealed that the model achieved an accuracy of 74.94%, a precision of 72.69%, and a recall of 74.94%. The F1 score was calculated at 69.26%, and the ROC-AUC score was notably 78.24%. These metrics underscore the model’s capability to accurately predict consumer ratings influenced by discount strategies. Key findings highlighted the significant predictive power of discount percentages and specific product categories, particularly 'Home Kitchen', suggesting a complex relationship between discounts, product types, and consumer responses. Theoretically, the study enriches the understanding of consumer behavior in e-commerce, highlighting the nuanced impact of discount strategies on consumer satisfaction, especially in online retail contexts. For e-commerce businesses and marketers, the findings underscore the importance of strategically employing discount strategies and tailoring marketing approaches to specific product categories. This study emphasizes managing customer expectations and maintaining product quality alongside discounts. This research provides valuable insights for optimizing e-commerce strategies and paves the way for future investigations. It opens up avenues for further exploration into factors like product quality, brand reputation, shipping times, and the potential of consumer segmentation and sentiment analysis in enhancing marketing effectiveness. The study marks a significant contribution to the field by linking discount strategies with consumer ratings, using advanced data analytics to inform e-commerce practices in the digital age.

Abstract

Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) is a legal mechanism that allows debtors to restructure based on approval from creditors. based on the Bankruptcy Law and PKPU, provides legal protection to creditors during the debt restructuring process. This article examines in depth the position and rights of creditors during the PKPU process and after the court decision. The research method uses a normative juridical approach to provide descriptive descriptions based on legal literature, statutory regulations and related court decisions. The research method used is a normative juridical approach with descriptive analysis of legal literature, legislation, and related court decisions. The research findings show that creditors have significant rights in the PKPU process, including the right to file a PKPU petition, the right to vote in creditor meetings, and the right to receive payments according to the agreed-upon settlement plan. Additionally, creditors have the right to demand the implementation of the settlement plan or receive a portion of the proceeds from the liquidation of the debtor's assets in the event of bankruptcy. However, the exercise of these rights often faces various challenges, such as delays in court proceedings, lack of transparency in the execution of the settlement plan, and legal uncertainties that may disadvantage creditors. The research concludes that although creditors' rights are clearly outlined in the law, practical implementation still shows gaps between theory and practice. Efforts are needed to enhance the efficiency of court processes and transparency in the execution of settlement plans to ensure optimal protection for creditors. Recommendations include improving the capacity of human resources in judicial institutions, implementing information technology to expedite administrative processes, and increasing oversight of settlement plan implementation. This article aims to contribute to the understanding and handling of issues related to the position and rights of creditors in the PKPU process, and serve as a reference for legal practitioners, academics, and stakeholders in the field of bankruptcy law and PKPU in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tirta Jaya Village is one of the villages in Bajuin District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province. It has an area of approximately 550 hectares. Tirta Jaya Village consists of 2 hamlets covering 12 RT. Tirta Jaya Village has a population of approximately 2,681 people consisting of 1,344 men and 1,337 women with a population density of 487/km2 and a total of 876 heads of families (KK). Tirta Jaya uses a word processing application. Not all village officials have computer skills to create uniform correspondence, which makes village administrative services very dependent on certain administrative staff. Obstacles in administrative services require the development of an Information ”yste’ that can assist the administrative service process in Tirta Jaya Village. It is hoped that the existence of this information system will make it easier for village officials to serve the population and overcome the weaknesses of manual administration, especially in the process of writing correspondence. Based on the problems above, a Web-based Tirta Jaya Village Information System was designed using the Codeignite framework, the system design used UML and implemented a database using MySQL

Abstract

Hidroponik merupakan budidaya pertanian yang tidak menggunakan tanah sebagai medianya. Kelebihan dalam bercocok tanam menggunakan media non tanah adalah salah satu cara penghematan lahan dan juga tidak memakan banyak biaya. Untuk kelemahan nya sendiri adalah perlu nya ketelitian tinggi. Hidroponik Hanza Farm menggunakan jenis hidroponik dengan metode Nutrifit Film Technique (NFT) di lahan terbuka. Hidroponik di lahan terbuka menimbul permasalahan yang lebih kompleks dari pada jenis hidroponik pada green house, namun dari sisi investasi lebih menguntungkan. Belum ada penerapan teknologi, baik konvensional maupun otomastis pada hidroponik mitra. Semuanya masih dikontrol secara konvensional oleh manusia. Pengendalian level air pada tandon dan sirkulasi air hidroponik masih menggunakan tenaga manusia, yang terkadang terjadi human error. Terbuangnya nutrisi pada saat kondisi hujan, karena air tandon yang sudah di isi dengan nutrisi menjadi tumpah karena tambahan air hujan.  Tumbuhan hidroponik menjadi layu dan kering akibat sirkulasi air yang tidak terkontrol. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, maka diterapkan teknologi sistem otomatis. Pada pengabdian ini difokuskan pada masalah kontrol level air pada tandon nutrisi hidroponik. Sistem kontrol dan monitoring level air dibangun berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan aplikasi telegram. Perangkat yang digunakan untuk mengukur level air berupa sensor level swicth. Data yang dibaca sensor kemudian dikirimkan ke NodeMCU ESP8266. NodeMCU akan mengolah data dan mengontrol on/off dari pompa, kemudian data juga dikirim ke telegram user menggunakan internet. Sehingga user dapat memonitoring dan mengontrol level air dari jarak jauh. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan terhadap alat pendeteksi  banjir ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa, perangkat dapat mengukur ketinggian sebagaimana fungsinya, sensor jarak mampu mengukur ketinggian air dengan tingkat error -3 cm diatas jarak 150 cm dan rata-rata delay pengiriman data dari telegram ke Hidroponik adalah 3 detik. Dengan penerapan alat ini petani lebih mudah untuk memonitoring kondisi cuaca dan level air dari jarak jauh. Selain memonitoring alat ini juga dapat dikendalikan untuk mengaktifkan dan mengnonaktifkan pompa air.

Abstract

− Sektor pertanian yang memiliki peran krusial dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan nasional tengah menghadapi menghadapi tantangan serius yakni minimnya partisipasi Generasi Z. Minat generasi ini terhadap dunia pertanian masih tergolong rendah akibat pandangan bahwa profesi di bidang pertanian bersifat konvensional dan kurang menguntungkan secara ekonomi. Dalam upaya mengubah perspektif ini maka dibutuhkan pengenalan pertanian modern yang memiliki prospek cerah, salah satunya melalui pelatihan budidaya tanaman dengan sistem hidroponik. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif, yang terdiri atas beberapa tahapan utama, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan (sesi materi dan praktik), evaluasi (pre-test, post-test, dan observasi praktik), dan tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan terhadap materi pelatihan hidroponik. Secara praktik peserta mampu merancang instalasi hidroponik sederhana dan melakukan penyemaian. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan mencerminkan bahwa hidroponik merupakan salah satu metode pertanian yang sesuai untuk dikembangkan di kalangan Generasi Z. Selain menjadi solusi atas keterbatasan lahan, hidroponik juga berpotensi menjadi pintu masuk bagi pengembangan wirausaha yang ramah lingkungan dan dapat menunjang ketahanan pangan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Sexual violence, bullying, and drug abuse are social problems frequently experienced by students in higher education. The risk factors for these three problems are diverse, involving interacting psychosocial, environmental, and personal aspects. This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of the factors contributing to the increased risk of sexual violence, bullying, and drug abuse among college students. Using a literature review approach, this study compiled and analyzed relevant previous research findings from psychological, sociological, and public health perspectives. The findings indicate that factors such as academic pressure, domestic violence, mental health disorders, and the dynamics of social relationships on campus are key triggers. Furthermore, existing social norms in the campus environment, such as patriarchal culture and a lack of awareness of the importance of mental health, contribute to these conditions. This study also identifies the importance of preventative measures through sex education, student empowerment, and support from mental health and social services on campus. In conclusion, the risk factors for sexual violence, bullying, and drug abuse among college students are multidimensional, requiring a holistic, community-based approach to addressing them.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence self-disclosure on social media in Psychology students at the University of Medan Area. The population in this study were psychology students in 2018 with a total of 350 students. The sample was 66 students with the sampling technique using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through a scale of self-disclosure factors based on the theory of Devito (2014) including: personality, culture, gender, audience, and topic. The method used in this study was a quantitative method. Data were analyzed using factorial analysis with SPSS version 23. Factorial analysis was used in this study to determine the contribution of each factor that influences self-disclosure on social media in Psychology students at the University of Medan Area. Based on the results of the factor analysis, it shows that each factor has a different contribution. The cultural factor has the highest percentage of 24%, the audience factor has a percentage of 24%, the topic factor is 21%, the personality factor has a percentage of 19%, and the gender factor has a percentage of 12%.
