Abstract

This study aims to examine more deeply about the contextual teaching learning model in order to find information related to the model in question. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely understanding the phenomenon of what is experienced by researchers with the aim of obtaining complete information by collecting various data sources. The data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are in the form of observations and interviews with teachers, students and school principals, while secondary data sources include documentation, scientific journals, books and the like which researchers can use to obtain information. The data obtained, analyzed using policy research. The results of the study found that through the application of the contextual teaching learning model, it can increase student learning activeness, student-centered learning, and gain knowledge that is dynamic and flexible. In addition, the application of the contextual teching learning model also shows the interaction and cooperation carried out by parents and the school to create quality students as observers of future education. Thus, this contextual teaching learning model is highly recommended to be applied in the ongoing learning process

Abstract

This study examines the application of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) learning model to increase the learning activeness of third-grade students of MIN 10 Aceh Barat in thematic learning. This type of research uses classroom action research (PTK) with data collection techniques that include observation, tests, and documentation. Furthermore, it was analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed that the use of the TGT model in thematic learning showed that teacher activity in cycle I reached 63.46% and increased in cycle II by 92.30%. Student activity in cycle I reached 59.61% and increased in cycle II by 88.46%. Student learning activeness on the theme “Loving animals and plants” is very high, it is known based on students' answers to the questions in the questionnaire where in cycle I obtained a percentage of 62.50% and increased in cycle II to 93.75%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT model can increase student learning activeness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' efforts in instilling character values in students at SD Paya Pelekung, Nagan Raya Regency. The approach used is qualitative with the type of field study through observational data collection techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, and tested for validity through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study showed that teachers applied four main strategies, namely story-based learning and moral reflection, role models and habituation, social practice activities such as visits to orphanages and gardening activities, and strengthening through parental appreciation and involvement in child character development. These findings indicate that instilling character values will be more effective if it is carried out in an integrated, sustainable manner, and involves collaboration between schools, families, and the social environment.

Abstract

Temuan awal menunjukkan semangat belajar matematika siswa masih rendah karena pembelajaran konvensional tanpa media interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas media game edukatif Baamboozle dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas III MIN 21 Aceh Barat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sebanyak 9 siswa menjadi populasi sekaligus sampel melalui teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket motivasi skala Likert 4 poin serta observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara motivasi belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, dengan nilai T hitung = 7 > T tabel = 4 (α = 0,05). Dengan demikian, H₀ diterima. Rata-rata skor motivasi siswa meningkat sebesar 2,31 poin, dari 84,02 menjadi 86,33. Sebanyak 7 dari 9 siswa (77,8%) mengalami peningkatan motivasi. Perhitungan effect size menggunakan rank biserial correlation menghasilkan nilai r = 0,806 yang tergolong kategori besar. Hasil observasi menunjukkan aktivitas guru mencapai 98,33% (sangat baik) dan aktivitas siswa mencapai 83,93% (baik). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah meskipun hasil uji statistik tidak signifikan, media Baamboozle secara praktis memiliki pengaruh besar dalam menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang lebih interaktif, menyenangkan, dan melibatkan siswa secara aktif.

Abstract

A teacher must be more creative and innovative in applying interesting learning media so that learning conditions do not make students feel bored and boring. This problem needs to be addressed so that learning becomes creative and fun, one of which is by using the TikTok application media to increase student activity in class. This research aims to determine the implementation of the TikTok application as a learning medium to increase the activity of class IV students at MIN 11 West Aceh and to determine the level of student activity by using the TikTok application as a learning medium to increase the activity of class IV students at MIN 11 West Aceh. This research uses an experimental method with test data collection techniques, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the TikTok application as a learning medium to increase the activity of class IV students at MIN 11 West Aceh was carried out in 2 meetings, namely October 26 and October 27 2023. The experimental class observation score was higher than the control class, where the teacher's observation amounting to 88.33% (good) and student observations were in the good category at 88.33% (good). Students are very active in learning by using the TikTok application as a learning medium in class IV at MIN 11 West Aceh. The increase in student activity can be seen from the achievement of student learning outcomes with an average class score of 83.94 and student graduation reaching 87.88%.

Abstract

The The rapid development of technology requires teachers to be able to utilize technology in carrying out digital-based learning processes. For this reason, besides having 4 basic skills, teachers are also required to have competence in managing digital-based education. This article aims to examine in more detail the content of teachers and competency standards that will teach teachers and their relation to the digitalization of education. The formulation of the problem in this study is how a teacher is able to balance these competencies with increasingly sophisticated technological developments. This study uses a qualitative approach with a technical analysis of literature related to the digitalization of education. Furthermore, data collection in this study was carried out by tracing various sources, both in the form of government documents, mass media, and the results of relevant research previously analyzed. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis. The results of this study indicate that the competence of a teacher is very necessary because the teacher is an allowance for students in an atmosphere of maximum learning outcomes assisted by the rapid advancement of technology. A teacher is required to have basic competencies including pedagogic, personality, social, and professional competencies. The basic competencies in question are knowledge, skills, and basic values ​​that are reflected in the habits of thinking and acting as a teacher. Therefore a good teacher is a teacher who is ready for advanced technological developments, especially in education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran tematik di kelas IV MIN 17 Aceh Barat, termasuk tantangan yang dihadapi guru serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan populasi guru dan siswa kelas IV. Sampel penelitian meliputi tiga guru kelas IV, kepala sekolah, dan siswa kelas tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi RPP dan catatan kegiatan siswa, dengan instrumen berupa pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan checklist dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan triangulasi data yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran tematik melalui keteladanan guru, diskusi kelompok, dan tugas kolaboratif yang mengajarkan nilai-nilai religius, tanggung jawab, gotong royong, kemandirian, dan integritas. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan waktu akibat padatnya kurikulum serta minimnya fasilitas pendukung. Faktor pendukung berasal dari komitmen guru dan dukungan kepala sekolah. Kesimpulannya, penguatan pendidikan karakter efektif dalam membentuk sikap positif siswa, meskipun diperlukan strategi yang berkelanjutan agar nilai-nilai karakter dapat tertanam lebih mendalam.
