Abstract

Anemia is a condition of the body where the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is lower than the normal value, resulting in pallor, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, lack of appetite, decreased fitness, decreased work ability, decreased immunity and impaired wound healing. Protein plays a role in the storage and transportation and absorption of iron. Inadequate protein intake can lead to disturbances in iron metabolism which can affect hemoglobin formation, causing anemia. Adolescent girls are one of the groups that are prone to anemia because adolescent girls experience the menstrual cycle every month. In addition, the condition will be even worse if a woman is married and pregnant, because pregnancy requires more iron for the growth and development of the fetus, which has an impact on infant mortality, abnormal births, low birth weight, and maternal mortality. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between protein consumption and hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. This study used a cross-sectional design and was descriptive analytic. The results of this study showed about 52.7% of respondents had insufficient protein consumption and 60% were anemic. There is a relationship between protein consumption patterns and hemaglobin levels with the value of chi-square statistical test results obtained p value <0.05, namely 0.001.

Abstract

Masa depan suatu bangsa tergantung pada keberhasilan anak dalam mencapai pertumbuhan dan perkembangan secara optimal.. Masa pertumbuhan merupakan masa esensial bagi anak-anak untuk mendapatkan asupan nutrisi dan gizi yang cukup. Namun, sekitar 2,9 juta anak di Indonesia masih mengalami gizi buruk. Pemantauan pertumbuhan merupakan salah satu kegiatan utama program perbaikan gizi yang menitikberatkan pada upaya pencegahan dan peningkatan keadaan gizi balita. Pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT) atau suplementasi gizi khususnya bagi balita merupakan salah satu strategi peningkatan akses pangan bergizi untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan balita dalam mengatasi masalah gizi. Secara teknis, sering ditemui kesalahan menggunakan timbangan yang tidak layak dan tidak dikalibrasi serta kesalahan dalam pemasangan timbangan dan pembacaan hasil. kader posyandu sangat berperan penting dalam upaya kesehatan masyarakat. Kader posyandu sebagai garda terdepan dalam pelayanan kepada masyarakat melalui posyandu. Kegiatan pembinaan yang di lakukan yaitu memberikan penyuluhan terkait pemberian makanan tambahan dan peningkatan kompetisi dasar kader posyandu dalam pengukuran antropometri di desa kuta padang. Metode pelaksanaan mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi semua sudah terlaksana sesuai rencana. Hasil yang dicapai, publikasi artikel pada jurnal pengabdian Masyarakat serta kader posyandu dan masyrakat sudah mampu menerima penjelasan dan dapat mengaplikasikannya. Keywords : Pemberian Makanan Tambahan, AntropometriThe future of a nation depends on the success of children in achieving optimal growth and development. The growth period is an essential period for children to get adequate nutrition and nutritional intake. However, around 2.9 million children in Indonesia are still malnourished. Growth monitoring is one of the main activities of the nutrition improvement program, which focuses on preventing and improving the nutritional status of children under five. Providing additional food (PMT) or nutritional supplementation, especially for toddlers, is one of the strategies to increase access to nutritious food to meet the needs of toddlers in overcoming nutritional problems. Technically, there are often errors using inappropriate and uncalibrated scales as well as errors in installing scales and reading results. posyandu cadres play an important role in public health efforts. Posyandu cadres are at the forefront of services to the community through posyandu. The coaching activities carried out are providing counseling related to supplementary feeding and increasing the basic competition of posyandu cadres in anthropometric measurements in kuta padang village. The method of implementation starting from preparation, implementation, evaluation have all been carried out according to plan. The results achieved, publication of articles in community service journals and posyandu cadres and the community have been able to receive explanations and can apply them.Keywords: Supplementary Feeding, Antrhopometri

Abstract

Biji ketumbar memiliki aktivitas antioksidan, antidiabetes, hepatoprotektif, antibakteri, dan antijamur dan dan dapat digunakan pada proses penyembuhan luka. Luka dapat berupa cedera atau kerusakan pada jaringan hidup normal yang disebabkan karena kecelakaan, benturan, sayatan, maupun operasi atau dampak lainnya seperti beberapa penyakit kronis. . Kandungan Flavonoid pada biji ketumbar dapat mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka karena memiliki aktivitas antimikroba dan astringen, yang memiliki peran dalam penyusutan luka dan peningkatan laju epitelisasi. Biji ketumbar juga mengandung tanin yang berkhasiat sebagai astringen yang mampu menciutkan luka, menghentikan pendarahan dan mengurangi peradangan, meningkatkan pembentukan fibroblas dan pembuluh darah baru yang berfungsi sebagai transportasi pasokan makanan dan oksigen yang dibutuhkan oleh sel-sel yang sedang dalam perbaikan sehingga dapat mempercepat penyembuhan luka. Kegiatan Sosialisasi  dilaksanakan secara live menggunakan media televisi UB On TV dan Youtube UB On TV.  Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah seluruh penonton siaran UB On TV 57 UHF. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta paham dalam memanfaatkan biji ketumbar sebagai pengobatan luka berdasarkan hasil dari pengisian google form oleh peserta.Kata Kunci: Biji ketumbar, Luka, peradangan.Coriandrum sativum seeds have antioxidant, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, antibacterial, and antifungal activities and can be used in the wound healing process. Wounds can be in the form of injury or damage to normal living tissue caused by accidents, impacts, incisions, or surgery or other impacts such as some chronic diseases. . The content of flavonoids in Coriandrum sativum seeds can accelerate the wound healing process because it has antimicrobial and astringent activity, which has a role in wound shrinkage and increasing the rate of epithelialization. Coriandrum sativum seeds also contain tannins which are efficacious as astringents that are able to shrink wounds, stop bleeding and reduce inflammation, increase the formation of fibroblasts and new blood vessels that function as transportation of food and oxygen supplies needed by cells that are under repair so as to accelerate wound healing. . Socialization activities are carried out live using UB On TV television media and UB On TV Youtube. Participants who take part in this activity are all viewers of UB On TV 57 UHF broadcast. The result of this activity is that participants understand the use of Coriandrum sativum seeds as a wound treatment based on the results of filling out google forms by participants. Keywords: Coriandrum sativum, Wounds, Inflammation
