Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is required to develop analytical, evaluative, problem-solving, and critical information connection abilities. Elementary school students will have a strong foundation for studying mathematics at a higher level and for facing daily challenges if they are encouraged to think creatively in mathematics. The present study aimed to determine the profile of elementary school student's ability to think creatively in mathematics. This study employed a quantitative descriptive survey with a sample size of 48 elementary school pupils aged 7 to 12. The instrument used was a 32-question test of mathematical creative thinking with a maximum score of 40 and three dimensions, namely fluency, variability, and novelty, with a 0.86 level of reliability. The results indicate that the average value of mathematical creative thinking in the "Fair" category is 71.61, with the lowest value being 67.5 and the highest value being 82.5. Regarding their ability to think creatively in mathematics, 92.80% of students fall into the "Fair" category, while 4.2% fall into the "Good" category. However, from the analysis results, the importance of mathematical creative thinking is still not included in the "Good" category. Consequently, there is a need for methods or media to enhance the ability of elementary school students to think creatively in mathematics or calculation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the profile of the availability of learning media that supports improving numeracy skills in elementary and junior high schools in Tasikmalaya Regency and City and their use, using a qualitative approach, while the methods used are interviews and commentary studies. The research findings obtained are that several elementary schools and junior high schools in Tasikmalaya Regency and City have learning media that supports improving students' numeracy skills, the source comes from grants, schools rarely budget for purchasing media, and rarely even make their own media. However, unfortunately the existing media does not work optimally, because teachers are reluctant to use media and focus only on textbooks, even though all the sources interviewed said that the use of media in learning, especially in learning Mathematics, is very important.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of three-dimensional (3D) art activities using playdough on the creativity development of children aged 5–6 years. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group was employed, involving 20 children who were evenly divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through observation using a validated creativity assessment instrument that measured fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The experimental group participated in several sessions of 3D art activities with playdough, while the control group received conventional learning without playdough. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Mann–Whitney U test, and N-Gain calculation. The results revealed a significant increase in creativity scores in the experimental group compared to the control group (p = 0.000). The experimental group achieved an N-Gain score in the medium category, while the control group was in the low category. These findings suggest that 3D art activities with playdough are effective in enhancing children’s creativity by stimulating divergent thinking, strengthening fine motor skills, and fostering self-confidence. The study recommends integrating playdough-based art activities into early childhood education curricula to optimize children’s creative potential. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) Project at Tunas Muda 1 Kindergarten to instill character values in early childhood. This study takes a qualitative approach, employing a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The results show that performing arts activities are effective in instilling Pancasila values such as diversity, cooperation, and independence. The involvement of teachers, parents, and the school community is crucial for the success of this program. The P5 program can enhance children's cognitive and social skills. Evaluations indicate that this project-based learning method has a significant positive impact on children's development. Additionally, recommendations include improving school facilities and infrastructure, continuous training for teachers, developing more specific modules, and increasing parental involvement in school activities. The program is also recommended to be expanded to more schools across various regions to strengthen character education at the national level.

Abstract

Di era revolusi industri 4.0 ini, perkembangan teknologi sangat pesat sehingga banyak anak usia dini yang menggunakan Smartphone dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penggunaan Smartphone pada anak semakin meningkat karena perangkat ini mudah diakses dan memiliki berbagai fitur yang menarik perhatian anak. Pada dasarnya, Smartphone belum tepat diberikan kepada anak sebagai telepon genggam pribadi karena dapat memicu perilaku adiktif yang berlebihan pada anak. Perilaku adiktif tersebut dapat berdampak pada perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kemampuan komunikasi anak apabila tidak diawasi dengan baik oleh orang tua maupun lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji teknik modeling dalam proses perubahan perilaku adiktif Smartphone pada anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber atau referensi yang berkaitan dengan teknik modeling dalam proses mengubah atau memperbaiki perilaku adiktif Smartphone pada anak. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknik modeling dapat mengubah perilaku adiktif Smartphone ke arah perilaku yang lebih positif melalui model sebagai figur atau panutan yang akan ditiru dan dicontoh oleh anak. Anak akan meniru, mengamati, dan merasakan sosok model sehingga kecanduannya terhadap Smartphone dapat berkurang melalui model tersebut. Selain itu, keberhasilan teknik modeling juga dipengaruhi oleh konsistensi pendampingan orang tua dan lingkungan dalam memberikan contoh perilaku yang baik kepada anak.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan model pencegahan stunting pada kelompok masyarakat adat Kampung Kuta, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah intervensi berbasis komunitas dengan prinsip partisipatif melalui program advokasi dan penyuluhan. Program dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan berbagai elemen masyarakat adat dalam empat tahap kegiatan: (1) analisis kondisi awal melalui wawancara) ((2) diskusi dan advokasi dengan ketua adat, perangkat desa, bidan, kader posyandu, dan orangtua) ((3) edukasi gizi, kesehatan ibu dan anak, serta pola makan berbasis potensi lokal) (dan (4) evaluasi melalui penyebaran angket kepada 11 orangtua. Hasil implementasi program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran dan koordinasi di masyarakat adat Kampung Kuta terkait pencegahan stunting. Mayoritas ibu (90,9%) telah memahami tentang stunting, meskipun tingkat pendidikan formal rendah (72,7% berpendidikan SMP). Pola pengasuhan menunjukkan bahwa 72,7% ibu menggunakan pendekatan responsif dalam mengatasi anak yang sulit makan, sementara MPASI disiapkan sendiri dengan variasi gizi cukup. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan berbasis komunitas yang sensitif terhadap kearifan lokal efektif untuk pencegahan stunting di masyarakat adat.
