Abstract

The purpose of this study was: (1) to analyze the effect of creatine monohydrate to give strength after doing physical exercise with maximum intensity, towards endurance after doing physical exercise with maximum intensity, (2) to analyze the effect of non creatine monohydrate to give strength after doing physical exercise with maximum intensity, towards endurance after doing physical exercise with maximum intensity, (3) to analyze the results of the difference by administering creatine and non creatine on strength and endurance after exercise with maximum intensity. This type of research used in this research was quantitative with quasi experimental research methods. The design of this study was using pretest and posttest control group design, and data analysis was using a paired sample t-test. The process of data collection was done with the test leg muscle strength using a strength test with back and leg dynamometer, sit ups test with 1 minute sit ups, push ups test with push ups and 30 seconds with a VO2max test cosmed quart CPET during the pretest and posttest. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 series. The results showed: (1) There was the influence of creatine administration against the strength after doing exercise with maximum intensity; (2) There was the influence of creatine administration against the group endurance after doing exercise with maximum intensity; (3) There was the influence of non creatine against the force after exercise maximum intensity; (4) There was the influence of non creatine against the group after endurance exercise maximum intensity; (5) The significant difference with the provision of non creatine and creatine from creatine group difference delta at higher against the increased strength and endurance after exercise maximum intensity. Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that the increased strength and durability for each of the groups after being given a workout.

Abstract

The preliminary study gives the result that the Football School (SSB) trainers in Medan City do not yet have adequate long passing and shooting skill measuring instruments. They rely on observation only in assessing their students’ achievement. Assessment that is based on observation has many weaknesses, one of which is the high element of subjectivity. This study aims to produce instruments to measure the studentss long passing and shooting skills. This is a research and development study. The authors used experimental methods in this study through the following steps, (a) draft development, (b) validation, (c) small group tryouts, and (d) extended group trials. The small group tryouts were conducted three times and the extended group trial was administered once. In the extended group trial the authors involved 150 male students of 8 SSB. Based on factorial analysis (validity test) and test and retest (reliability test), the result is that the long passing and shooting instruments are valid (P <000) and reliable (R> 0.6). Thus, this measuring instrument is very good for measuring long passing and shooting skills of the SSB students.

Abstract

The Sport of Wrestling is rarely heard in Indonesia but the real fact is not so. Although it is not as popular as football, badminton, or tennis, this type of hard sport still exists in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine whether interval of the endurance training techniques with the training program software can improve the VO2 Max of the wrestling athletes in the Gold-for-Indonesia Program in the Sea Games XXVII Myanmar 2013. The method used in this research was the experimental method; the researchers deliberately and systematically incorporated treatments into natural phenomena and then observed the its effects. The results show that, overall, the VO2 Max of the pretest result is 46.95%, the result of the first cycle test shows an increase to 49.43%, and the second cycle test shows even better result to 50.21%. To improve the endurance of the wrestling athletes of the program of Gold-for-Indonesia in the Sea Games XXVII Myanmar 2013, the trainers need to use the interval of endurance training techniques with the software of the training program.

Abstract

The lack of understanding by sports teachers in Nganjuk Regency regarding the importance of implementing the DBON concept in improving physical quality means that sports achievements in Nganjuk Regency cannot be maximized. This condition occurs due to the government's lack of attention to improving human resources, or in this case teachers, regarding the development of sports science and various existing physical activities to be applied to learning in schools, so that they can improve the quality of students. This socialization was attended by 20 junior high school teachers in Nganjuk Regency. The method used in this activity is to convey material about the DBON concept and various physical activities orally. The materials used in this activity were DBON Concept powerpoint materials as well as providing photocopies of the materials and e-book files "Easy Ways to Practice Gym Ball and Be Diligent in Sports" to participants so they could study independently. After participating in this activity, the participants stated that they experienced increased knowledge and understanding of the DBON concept as well as physical activities that they could apply at school later. The participants also hope that this kind of activity can continue to be carried out in the future

Abstract

The growth and development of the body goes through two phases of rapid growth. First phase (0-5 years) and second phase (10-17 years). This study aimed to compare anthropometry and physical abilities between trained and untrained individuals in the second rapid growth phase (adolescence). This research method used analytic observational with cross sectional design. The sample study used adolescents aged 14 years old, consisted of trained adolescent groups (n=25) and untrained adolescent groups (n=32), with categorized throught the International Physical Activity Questionnaires (IPAQ). Each group measured height, weight, chest circumference, vital lung capacity (VC), oxygen saturation (SpO2), heart rate resting, heart rate exercise, and VO2Max. The results of the different test between trained and untrained groups with a significance level of p<0.05 showed there were significant differences in body height (p=0.000), VC (p=0.000), SpO2 (p=0,001), heart rate rest (p=0.000), and VO2Max (p=0.000). There were no significant differences in body weight (p=0.053), chest circumference (p=0.226), and heart rate exercise (p=0.242). As a conclusion, anthropometry and physical abilities of trained individuals was greater than the untrained individuals in the second rapid growth phase (adolescence).

Abstract

The role of psychology in sports is very much needed in achievement sports, especially archery, where many athletes often experience psychological problems during championships or during training sessions. The purpose of this study is to discuss the knowledge structure or factors that influence decisions/actions in archery athletes, using the context review analysis method cited from relevant research results. Reviews in this study examine the results of pre-existing research cited from international journals such as PubMed, Springer, ScienceDirect and Journals from various universities in Indonesia. The results of this study found that there are several factors that can indeed be studied and can influence decisions/actions in archery athletes that can be used and added to team/club training programs to overcome psychological problems experienced by athletes. In conclusion, there are six main factors that influence the decision/action of athletes. It is hoped that these main factors can be applied to athlete training programs as support for performance when practicing or during competition.

Abstract

Examining the strategies for the advancement of sports development in Papua following the XX National Sports Week (PON) based on the perspective of DISORDA Papua is crucial as sports development must be carried out in a methodical, measurable, and continuous manner. This study aims to assess the policies of sports development programs in Papua post the XX PON. It utilizes qualitative methods involving interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The policy analysis methodology employed includes problem formulation, forecasting, recommendations, monitoring, and evaluation. The study involved 5 participants from the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Papua. The research findings indicate that the sports development program policy in Papua following PON XX demonstrates that the province's sports development program has not been effectively integrated. In general, the policy in Papua Governor Regulation Number 29 of 2020 concerning the Description of Duties and Functions of the Papua Province Sports and Youth Service reveals that the sports development program in Papua province is not yet well integrated.
