Abstract

Abstract: Decision support systems (DSS) have become an important tool in various fields, including the selection of fish seeds. Selecting the right fish seeds is a crucial step in successful fish farming. In this context, the Weight Sum Model (WSM) method can be used as an approach in decision making. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System for selecting fish seeds using the Weight Sum Model (WSM) method. This method allows a systematic assessment of various criteria that are relevant in selecting fish seeds. The first step in this research is to identify the criteria that will be evaluated in selecting fish seeds. Each fish seed is assessed based on each criterion using the appropriate scale. In the WSM method, the values given to each criterion are multiplied by the weight of the corresponding criterion, and the results are added up for each fish seed. The fish seeds that have the highest number will be considered the best choice based on predetermined evaluation criteria. This Decision Support System can help fish farming farmers in making more informative and data-based decisions in selecting fish seeds that suit their needs. Keywords: Decision Support Systems, Fish Seeds, Criteria, Weight Sum Model (WSM), Fish Cultivation. Abstract: Sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) telah menjadi alat penting dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk dalam pemilihan bibit ikan. Memilih bibit ikan yang tepat merupakan langkah krusial dalam budidaya ikan yang sukses. Dalam konteks ini, metode Weight Sum Model (WSM) dapat digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan untuk pemilihan bibit ikan menggunakan metode Weight Sum Model (WSM). Metode ini memungkinkan penilaian yang sistematis terhadap berbagai kriteria yang relevan dalam memilih bibit ikan. Langkah pertama dalam penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kriteria-kriteria yang akan dievaluasi dalam pemilihan bibit ikan. Setiap bibit ikan dinilai berdasarkan setiap kriteria menggunakan skala yang sesuai. Dalam metode WSM, nilai-nilai diberikan pada setiap kriteria akan dikalikan dengan bobot kriteria terkait, dan hasilnya dijumlahkan untuk setiap bibit ikan. Bibit ikan yang memiliki jumlah tertinggi akan dianggap sebagai pilihan terbaik berdasarkan evaluasi kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Sistem Pendukung Keputusan ini dapat membantu para petani budidaya ikan dalam mengambil keputusan yang lebih informatif dan berdasarkan data dalam memilih bibit ikan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Kata kunci: Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Bibit Ikan, Kriteria, Weight Sum Model (WSM), Budidaya Ikan.

Abstract

Abstract: Competition in today's business world is getting tighter, thus causing increasing competition among business actors in today's very open market era. Whether it's a company that produces the final product or service. The pandemic has forced many people to increase their creativity so that the businesses they create can survive and become a support for the economy. Activities and efforts undertaken must be able to have a high selling value and have the creativity to attract the attention of consumers. Sabila Handcraft is a handcraft UKM that sells handcrafted products. It is known that there are still many obstacles that occur in the production process, including rejected products that must be repaired such as wrong designs and wrong cuts, rejects when distributing goods to consumers caused by negligence in the delivery process (items stacked, products not working), as well as PO (Purchase Order) which is quite long takes almost 1 week from the order made. These rejects were caused by errors from operators who were not careful in designing and lack of quality management training for workers at UKM Sabila Handcraft. Through this training, it is hoped that it will have a positive impact, especially improving performance in the Sabila Handcraft UKM so that it can increase the output of the products produced and increase customer satisfaction.Keywords: quality; hancraft; UKM  Abstrak: Persaingan di dunia bisnis saat ini semakin ketat, sehingga menyebabkan semakin meningkatnya persaingan para pelaku usaha di era pasar yang sangat terbuka saat ini. Baik itu perusahaan yang menghasilkan hasil akhir produk ataupun jasa. Pandemi membuat banyak orang untuk meningkatkan kreativitas agar usaha yang dibuat tetap bisa bertahan dan menjadi penyokong ekonomi. Kegiatan dan usaha yang dilakukan harus bisa memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi dan memiliki kreativitas untuk menarik perhatian konsumen. Sabila Handcraft adalah salah satu UKM handcraft yang menjual produk-produk kreasi pekerjaan tangan. Diketahui masih banyak kendala yang terjadi pada proses produksinya, diantara produk reject yang harus diperbaiki seperti salah desain dan salah potong, reject pada saat pendistribusian barang ke konsumen yang disebabkan karena kelalaian dalam proses pengiriman (barang ditumpuk, produk tidak berfungsi), serta PO (Purchase Order) yang cukup lama membutuhkan waktu hampir 1 minggu dari pemesanan yang dilakukan. Berbagai reject ini disebabkan karena kesalahan dari operator yang kurang teliti dalam mendesain serta kurang adanya pelatihan tentang manajemen kualitas kepada para pekerja di UKM Sabila Handcraft. Untuk itu perlu pelatihan mengenai manajemen kualitas pada UKM Sabila Handcraft untuk mengelola dan memastikan kualitas produk, layanan, atau proses bisnis secara efektif. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif khususnya memperbaiki kinerja di UKM Sabila Handcraft sehingga dapat meningkatkan output dari produk yang dihasilkan serta meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan.Kata kunci: kualitas; handcrft; UKM

Abstract

Background: Limited fish storage facilities are a major factor contributing to the decline in fish quality among fishermen in island areas, which ultimately reduces market value. This community service activity aimed to implement a solar-powered cooler box as an efficient and environmentally friendly storage solution for fishermen in remote coastal regions. Method: The method included a needs assessment, design and installation of a 40-liter cooling system with a 100 WP solar panel, and training on operation and maintenance for fishermen in the Belakang Padang Islands. Results: The results showed that the storage temperature could be maintained between 2–4°C for 8–10 hours daily without relying on conventional electricity. The use of this equipment reduced the spoilage rate of fish from an average of 28% to 10%, and increased selling prices by an average of 18%. Conclusion: This program demonstrates that renewable energy technologies can contribute to improving the quality of fish catches and the economic well-being of fishermen in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The capture fisheries sector plays a crucial role in supporting food security and the Indonesian economy, particularly in the Riau Islands region. Traditional fishermen hold a pivotal position in the post-harvest chain of capture fisheries. However, traditional fishermen still face various challenges, one of which relates to non-ergonomic working conditions when storing fish catches. Currently, traditional fishermen use makeshift fish storage boxes without considering ergonomic and anthropometric aspects. Non-ergonomic storage boxes can cause health problems such as back pain, muscle injuries, and excessive fatigue among fishermen. This condition can negatively impact fishermen's productivity and quality of life. This research is essential to develop an ergonomic fish storage box design that aligns with the anthropometric characteristics of traditional fishermen. With ergonomic equipment, it is expected to enhance fishermen's comfort and occupational safety while minimizing health risks associated with work activities. Furthermore, ergonomic equipment can also improve fishermen's productivity and work efficiency in storing fish catches. The aim of this research is to design ergonomic equipment for traditional fishermen that corresponds to anthropometric characteristics, thereby facilitating and enhancing comfort and occupational safety for traditional fishermen. This research will employ an anthropometric approach as the foundation for designing ergonomic equipment for traditional fishermen. Data collection will involve anthropometric measurements of traditional fishermen using a sample of fishermen as respondents. Body dimension measurements will be conducted to obtain static and dynamic anthropometric data. Based on the anthropometric data, a prototype of an ergonomic fish storage device will be developed.
